So far the best online game store I've seen.

Steam is an incredible gaming service with thousands of games for you to pay for and download instantly, and they offer a ton of great deals. There's a great community surrounding the platform, and you can really build a sweet network of gamers online. Sometimes the prices are outrageous on old games, and a lot of the community can be toxic, but otherwise it's awesome.

Steamcommunity has 15% fees, 15!!!!

What can I say? the support is one of the worst I've ever seen maybe the FUNCOM is much worse. If you tell the true on the steam forum you just got a BAN even if what you said did not violated the rules of the forum.

steam will always be the best gaming platform, no questions asked.

Been a happy user of steam for more then 10 years already, very happy with the platform, as well as the community, recently had a issue with my account, and the investigation team has been very helpful, well mannered and fast response.
Keep it up guys

What can I say? Steam is Steam. The prices are expensive sometimes, and the support is one of the worst I've ever seen, but hey, we have sales, updates, and a good interface! I don't really need anything else at the moment.

I've been using steam for over 7 years now, some mixed experiences over the years but generally glad to have all my games on steam these days.
Sure DRM is hardly pro-consumer, but I'd much rather see that a game runs through steam than just about any other platform.
Many standalone games that are also on steam typically leave me wanting to steam version, I can't say that about any other platform.
Sales aren't what they used to be and as a result of their 'every game must participate' policy, it's lead to a lot of games remaining at full price for years after their release and only worth buying if on sale, if even then [it's been years since I've spent more than £5 during a sale].
Refunds, if used infrequently, have been good. But, be careful of playing for too long [more than 2 hours] or you'll not get a refund, so don't go afk or leave a game running in the background unless you're sure it works and you want to keep it [e.g. game crashes but doesn't close, you tab out to look for solutions, don't find any but during that time you're now over 2 hours 'played' and can't get a refund].

Its a great place to play games and buy games - as long as you dont get hacked or scammed..
Steam support is prob. the worst of its kind on the internet right now :/
My old account got hacked 2½ years ago (worth around 100-200$) and i send multipile support emails to them (7-10) and none have been answered yet. I also email their non support email but no answer there....

In bloddy hate their page it's tiresome, it's in no way intuitive. I tried reaching out for support, but that is a maze.
I'm simply trying to log in and redeem a key of a product I already bought, their search function is a joke. I f*u*c*k*i*n*g hate them. The layout is not like the how to video from the dealer, this can be done much simpler. I don't frigin care aboutn what other titles you have in store or what genre, I just want to redeem my key and install.

Support on site is terrible.

Refunds not happend yet, despite games not working.

No help at all if key is bought outside their system, so as a customer you can bounce back and through between bad support systems??

I wait for some other companies to compete in this market, for this can't be the best we as customers can expect.

And do put an email up to find, instead of this stuppid website where you spend so long time trying to find a solution on, instead of a simple mail. Often the problem is not there, or if it's there just saying no help here???
