The website is buggy and they are unclear about charges
The website is buggy. It's hard to log in.
Also, for domain renewal, the website make is look as though you will be charged on the renewal date. I am organized and cancelled my domain that I no longer wanted, 1 week before renewal, but the funds had already been taken out 8 days before. If you're going to do this, make it clearer about charging 15 days before renewal.

The switching of my website was seamless and refund on my existing account went smoothly. I will say, however, it would have been better if I could have just updated my old account using 7.1 and just kept going.

More options needed
There needs to be more variety in how one can design on the site particular with fonts, sizes and colour. I found it difficult to navigate. Should be more user friendly.

I have built very basic websites on…
I have built very basic websites on multiple other platforms. I was very surprised how limiting your web builder was. I just wanted to move texts around, adjust pictures and so much of the time the grid made it hard to move things. And then when I didn’t like the template it sss difficult to change.
I think the whole AI thing was build with good intentions but I had a horrible experience with it and then when I tried to build one without it it was also bad.
Sorry to be so negative but I feel like it was over engineered to make things “easy” but then it still want easy and it lost a lot of the ability to design a website they way you want. I feel like I wasted a lot of time trying to some very basic things.

Tech checked that the email was a scam!
The tech I talked to was patient and checked my account to make sure that my assumption that the email I had gotten was a scam…I appreciated the care to help me confirm that it was a scam message…in sheep’s clothing!

I did an upgrade from 7.0 to 7.1 it…
I did an upgrade from 7.0 to 7.1 it broke my website, I succeeded to find some workaround for some part and in some other parts I have an internal server error. I contacted Squarespace to get some help 4 days ago but still no answer .
my website is still stuck if it's not solved soon I will probably change platform even if I missed with Squarespace more than 10 years..

Smooth and easy
I decided to update my website so moved it over from elsewhere. It was really easy and I was surprised at how easy it was to build.
I contacted support once and they were brilliant. I also use their scheduling and bought my domain name through Squarespace.
