I work in tech, and i never saw a user experience that sucks that much.
Moreover, the customer service is the worst. The domain name of my company expired, and because of the time of responses, i had to wait 2 weeks just to renew it, without any mail/website, nothing. All of my company was on hold because of the slowness of Squarespace's customer service. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves.
It's just because i don't have the time to migrate my domain names that i'm staying for now.

Moved from a different web hosting site to square space. I really enjoyed building my website after I figured out the work flow, which was not too hard. The customer service was kind and helpful as well.

Staff was very helpful at helping me with an issue. I appreciated their thoughtfulness and they follow up.

Squarespace responded to all my emails and would have taken care of any issues. But the whole contact was a mistake, because I never was a part of Squarespace community. The vendor from whom I purchased gave me your phone number for taking care of issues with them. Your were put into the middle needlessly. PLEASE DO NOT REQUEST ANY MORE FEEDBACK FROM ME. THERE IS NOTHING ELSE TO SAY. Thank you.

Quick and accurate response. Solved the issue

An easy way to setup your website with 0 coding skills. You can also use your code uf you want to.

Getting started was not easy and I needed help. I used the online chat and the email support. The online chat was no help at all and the email support was eventually helpful. All is working now and I like the format. If it is possible to initiate a smoother onboarding for challenged people like myself, you might have a higher use / retention rate.

I found the human agent understood the issue and got to the point. The Trust pilot seemed to go in circles and did not understand the problem.

I was sent an email: Important Squarespace Payments Update: Payments Account for Your Site Title is Closed. Then a few days later I was sent: Welcome to Squarespace Payments. I'm confused. Also, after the first email, I was unable to find out why I was denied.

That being said, I really like the website building functions.

I moved my domain / website to Squarespace and found it easy to set up with the transfer and everything else. However, it did take a while to register (as stated) and there were some problems with the domain name connecting to my new Squarespace site. I contacted support and they fixed the problem quickly.

The website builder itself is easy to use and has a lot of block options to use. I also like the fact that it has a mobile version of the site that you can edit separate to your main desktop site (although - the changes you make in one can transfer to the other - even though it's not supposed to!).

For most of the my pages, the templates worked well, although I would like to see perhaps more styles that I can work with, but to be honest, building a page with blocks is enough really.

The only negative for me was creating a photo gallery. There wasn't anything I could see to create a carousel where website guests could buy a photo (I had in my mind to create S / M / L sizes at different prices. You can code Lightbox with a buy option but just one size photo as far as I can understand. I did find some third party photo gallery software but these come at an additional monthly cost and this is only worth it if you know you are going to sell a lot of photos on your site - which I probably won't!

Overall, compared to my last hosting and website, I would recommend Squarespace because of its easy to use interface and good solid tech support. Plus I don't have to mess around with PHP, old Wordpress plugins that have been abandoned and such like.

Sometimes it can take a long time to get support.
This time was very fast and really helpful.

We were cancelled from our email campaigns after an error, in which we had documented proof! If Squarespace is a DIY platform, then you need to allow users to make honest mistakes, and you need to have customer support to promptly rectify these instances.

Now, we’re left no email campaigns just days before our critical medical conference — and no one whose responsive enough to get back to us!

It’s a great platform to display your visual arts The ease with dropping down and putting things into the different sections is wonderful. I have experience in building my own website with Weebly more than 15 years ago, but this website is fantastic. The only issue that I have is how to navigate in this AI world. I look forward to having wonderful experiences with this website.

It was clear security was a priority. This was frustrating at first because we had a staff member leave and didn't know some of the info we needed. But as we went along we got there! I appreciated that at least it seemed like I was talking to a real person through email. I hope to the Good Lord that it wasn't AI. But alas, this is the world we are living in. And thus, the clear emphasis on security is comforting.
