This company promise things they can’t…
This company promise things they can’t deliver on. I cashed in my pension and was told 8 days. After 8 days they then said another 4 days. Just bad advice the whole way. Would never use them again. Have ended up going further and reporting them to the pension ombudsman as now they have had my fund 3 days in processing. Which we all know will net a nice little interest for them. Poor communication also. Rang multiple times, not one email in response.

Impossible to action changes or close the account as an employer
As an employer, actioning any change to my Smart Pension account here has proven near-impossible. More than a year ago I was told to 'fill out an online form' to get help — I'm still waiting for a reply. I'm now trying to close the account and have hit the identical wall: despite sending two emails with all the necessary information and explicitly stating I want to close, I'm again directed to 'fill out the online form.'
I eventually completed it, only because two separate support reps insisted it was the required process. The form itself is a third-party TypeForm presented as 'secure,' with no verification of that claim offered (an odd choice for handling sensitive pension and financial data). At the end of the form, I was told I 'may be asked to complete a formal closure form,' on top of the two emails and the form I'd already submitted.
As of 12 June, the account remains open and unresolved. This is extremely poor service, and being unable to action changes or exit cleanly means wasted time and money for SMEs like mine. If you're an employer choosing a workplace pension, factor in that getting out may be as hard as getting help. I'd suggest avoiding.

This Pension scheme is basically a scam…
This Pension scheme is basically a scam supported by the government where they promise you that you will be able to opt out any time and get your funds back but they actually block your funds as soon as your account is closed.
I´m currently moving out of the country and the only option they gave me is to move it into a new pension scheme and wait until I´m 67 years old to get 3.00 British pounds per month.
this is what I call British standard scam. They promise that your money will be always available but they actually keep it forever to invest it themselves.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that you’re dissatisfied with your experience.
When a member is enrolled into a workplace pension, there is a statutory one-month opt-out window during which they can leave the scheme and receive a refund of any contributions made. This is clearly communicated at the point of enrolment.
After this period, members can still cease active membership at any time, which will stop any future contributions. However, the funds already paid into the pension remain invested in line with pension regulations and cannot be withdrawn as cash until the minimum retirement age, which is currently 55 and is due to increase to 57 from 2028.
Members in this position have the option to transfer their pension savings to another registered pension scheme or leave the funds invested until they choose to access their retirement benefits.

Great Service
I spoke to Isabel regarding payroll contribution uploads from a new payroll service provider (Snappy) as they do not currenntly have API in place.
She was really helpful, showed me where I was going wrong and checked to see if there were any updates from the new service provider.
I never mind callig SMART, far more helpful than Nest!
