The food was horrible the rosters ware over cooked it not the same with out the other chefs ther ther are not verry helpful i will never go ther again

Went for carvery tonight, only 2 meats available there was no mashed potatoes and were told they would bring some out soon to our table, unfortunately they never arrived. I've given highly recommend review in the past but I'm disappointed to say it was a poor show tonight.

Went for Carvery meal but not available as something was broken so had to order from the normal menu. Twenty minute wait, sorry, wings not available. Tiny tin plates with cheap, microwaved starters that were boiling hot inside, bland, mass produced and just thrown together with aged pea shoots. And expensive. Burgers again looked unappealing and tasted the same. Bland is being kind. Can make better ones myself for a fraction of the cost. And arrange them on a CHINA plate so they look appetising. Again ludicrously expensive. Worst meal out I’ve had in years. Definitely don’t recommend and won’t go there again in a month of Sundays.

Brilliant service, couldn’t be better, our arrival was delayed for a birthday meal and Jay went above and beyond to ensure our table was kept and he saved the day. Food was lovely and staff couldn’t be kinder, dealing with all our dietary needs and going the extra mile. Thank you to all, especially Jay for making the day special.

Had to wait an unreasonable amount of time before someone was present at the carvery. Paid for a standard carvery and asked for a little bit of each only to be told that I can choose only 2. He then proceeded to cut a thick slice of beef which was very tough and a thick slice of turkey. I have been here many times before without this problem and he just said the rules have changed which I very much doubt. I told him I wasn't happy to which he did not respond. Sorry, but it just spoilt the whole experience for me.

Poor selection of carvery sides, food was undercooked and all pretty much tasteless or had a strange underlying taste about it. Staff have no manners or customer service skills (if you're going to bad mouth a customer atleast do it out of earshot!). Place wasn't particularly clean nor was the carvery service area. Wouldn't recommend if you're looking for a nice bit of pub grub!

Totally unbelievable service paid 26 pound for a meal i never had yet the money came out my bank never pay at the table . The manager was shocking very rude now having to contact a solicitor for help has phoned there head office and they were no help at all totally shocking service

friendly staff and good food , nice place it can get very busy at times, i have used this pub for years,decent selection of food,carvery or off the menu, i organise a meet up every year for my retired workmates, and it always goes well,there are 25 of us ,the pub is ideal for the bus or train station and free parking, my wife and i often go in for a meal after shopping at the centre its only a short walk away

The beef was really tough and chewy, the roast potatoes were like cardboard to eat, this is the 2nd time I have had this, last time it was Luke warm, today it was hot but didn't enjoy it, I feel it was not value for the money

Lovely carvery as usual many thanks to Lewis, Gavin and chefs/carvers Tim and Dan who never seem to mind changing the knives and serving spoons due to my coeliac disease. The table is also given an extra clean and separate cutlery issued.Always appreciated. Thank you.

Lovely open and roomy pub to relax in. The carvery 21/10/24 midday was excellent. Nice place to meet with friends who also enjoyed their carvery. I have eaten off the menu and that was also good.

Firstly, I go to Severn Gorge every week - once for a carvery on my own and then our family go to the quiz night once a fortnight where we all have a carvery before the quiz and drinks during. We have had family Christmas meals there, spend a lot of money always. The main thing is...the bar staff and usual managers know us! So I was gobsmacked when I took my two 25 year old granddaughters for a celebration today and was challenged by the young barmaid who serves me every week. I said to her "You know me well. I'm in here all the time. These are my granddaughters. I'm not likely to lie to you". She said "Well I've challenged you now so if they can't prove it they can't have a drink". So I then ordered food with a drink and was told...not our policy for kids with adults. Bear in mind, these two don't even look under 18 or 21! The new bolshy acting manager even said...if you say it's for you and I see them drinking, I'll come over and take it off your table! What should have been a lovely pleasant afternoon was ruined by the arrogant attitudes. I well understand about fines and the fact that kids can't drink, but as I said before, they knew me well and the kids were 25. Disgusted. I think they have lost my business. There is a Thursday quiz at Grazing Cow (where we went down to for dessert) and were treated respectfully.

Sorry to say that I felt absolutely embarrassed. I looked for a table without a reserve sign and eventually found one. I paid for my meal and drink sat down then just about finished my meal and still had my drink to finish off when I was asked to move. I presume because I was in my own and they wanted he table. Disgraceful as this was the first time out after losing my partner. I got up left the pub and unfinished drinks on the bar. How embarrassing it was in front of all those people sat around me

Visited the Severn gorge today 28th July for a Sunday carvery, a table was found for us as we had not booked.
For the price the meal was extremely disappointing, very small portion of meat,the Yorkshire pudding was hard seemed overcooked although it looked nice. The roast potatoes were hard inside even though the outsides were well done.
We had been looking forward to eating out as it does not happen very often.
After paying 35.00 for 2 meals and 2 drinks we would have expected more than a child's portion of meat.

I visited Severn Gorge today (Sunday 17th March 2024) with two others and also on Mother's Day with one other. Today we didn't book a table and didn't have to wait long.
Friendly staff that greeted with a smile on entry.
Lovely relaxed atmosphere, table space brilliant did not feel squashed up with the next table. I chose from the menu the food was amazing and I didn't feel rushed to eat. I recommend Severn Gorge 100% to anyone looking for a good place to eat.
A big shout out to the bar staff that made my hot choc with marshmallows and cream. He took so much care in creating it.

We visited the Severn Gorge on Monday 3 July, and had a wonderful meal there. We were so impressed that we returned on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. We received a friendly welcome from Gavin, Elaine and their team, who all help to create a pub with a relaxed welcoming atmosphere. The pub is spotlessly clean, and the food is well prepared and presented by Ryan in the kitchen. There is a good selection on the menu, and everything that we have ordered has been delicious. The Severn Gorge is family and dog friendly, and we fully intend to take our grandchildren on our next visit. We have no hesitation in recommending the Severn Gorge as a great place to visit for a meal or a relaxing evening.
