Service was good very polite just a shame I’ve got to wait 10 weeks to enjoy my new sofa

Title: Disappointing Experience with Sofa Purchase

I regret to share my negative experience with this company regarding my recent sofa purchase. After selecting a model that I liked during my visit to the showroom, the product delivered did not meet my expectations in terms of quality and materials. It lacks the density and durability I anticipated, resulting in a product that feels subpar and, unfortunately, reminiscent of lower-quality imports.

Additionally, shortly after delivery, one of the sofas was damaged. Since August of last year, I have made multiple attempts to address these issues through emails and submitted photographs, but regrettably, there has been little to no response. An inspection was conducted, but no further action was taken.

I was also misled regarding the size, as what was marketed as a three-seater has proven to be more akin to a two-seater, which is not fit for my needs. This has left me feeling quite dissatisfied with my purchase.

Given these ongoing challenges, I am considering pursuing this matter through a small claims court and obtaining an independent assessment to support my case. I hope this review serves as a cautionary note for potential customers in the future.

Overall Experience - Very Good, & happy with our purchase.

We have been deeply frustrated with the lack of customer service and the continued uncertainty around our delivery. Initially, the sales assistant failed to provide us with a receipt despite promising to send it online, forcing us to visit a different store to obtain one. We have now been waiting over 13 weeks for our expected delivery date to be updated, without any notification.

Moreover, there were no calls to inform us of the delivery's arrival. Upon finally chasing the delivery date, we were told it would be another week, only to be informed that our hire purchase had not gone through, requiring us to pay the full amount. We have contacted the store from which we originally made the purchase five times this week, only to be repeatedly told we would receive a follow-up, which never happened.

It was expressed that we needed to return to the original store due to a paperwork error, despite our informing them that we had moved over an hour away. Attempts to reach the helpline on both Saturday and Sunday have resulted in no returned calls.

Given these circumstances, should we consider canceling the purchase on our credit card as we have already paid a deposit, with no indication of receiving our money back?

Delivery arrived on time, asked them to take furniture around to the back as it would be easier to get in.They unpack everything, put the legs on and all the seats and cushions, and placed them where we asked.They took all the packing and left.This is the second time we have bought from this company and would recommend them.

Was allowed to walk round without assistants pestering you. When we decided to approach a assistant, he couldn't have been more helpful with what we wanted, and showing us all the options, even helped with deciding our colour scheme.

I placed an order for a sofa due to pressure from the salesman when my husband and I had only gone to browse - and our children were running around and I felt pressurised and confused. So I tried to cancel the order within 3 days, and they refused to cancel the order despite multiple attempts by both my husband and I to reason with them. They said I could change my order, so we looked again and chose a different sofa. The sofa arrived 3 months ago, and it is already misshapen and the fabric has pilled and looks so scruffy and rough. I have tried using a depilling machine, however the pilling has just returned and now the fabric looks worn and old. I spoke to SCS who sent an engineer who stated that this is part of natural fabric wear and they will not do anything about it. So I have spent a huge amount of money on a sofa that within 3 months looks absolutely dreadful, and the company will not do anything.

Delivery company came to pick up the sofa that was ordered incorrectly and have damaged my property! No word from them are they “reported” it.
This was the nail in the coffin after being misssold, lied to multiple times by the store. Ordered me something different to what I was told then tried to blame me. Excepted fault but then wanted another £1000. Allowed cancellation but it took 10 days for it to finally be collected. Was told I could get my refund straight away. Went down to the store to be told no for 15 minutes. Manager refused to come out again!

My new sofa bed is great. Delivery was excellent especially the tracking system and updates including emails and texts were good and kept us updated. The two delivery guys were so friendly and very professional. They carried everything through and put the sofa/bed back to how it should be. Placed it where we wanted and they were happy to do so. Andrew and Shaun were so helpful. They showed us how to change it to a bed which was so easy to do. We ordered it in Lakeside Essex but moved up to Cumbria where it was delivered. Really good quality and worth the money we paid.

We had a very helpful gentleman serving us he was very good asking what we was looking for then showing us the best style and fabric which would work well for our needs. Looking forward to seeing the sofa and armchair in the lounge.

Chris was the salesman who helped and advised me before I made my final choice. He was patient and informative, answering any questions I had to make sure the furniture I chose was right for me.

Friendly and helpful staff. Listened to what I needed.

Visited SCS in Lakeside to look for new sofa and armchairs. Shop assistant was very helpful and spent a long time with my husband and I, showing us different materials we could have and explaining the features of each 3 piece suite we were interested in. We felt not rushed into making a decision.

Was happy with the product but wasn't happy with the delivery Men as they had attitude and most of the time wasn't speaking English and this made Me feel uncomfortable and they were rude and order Me to move My stuff out of the way instead of asking Me to move it

The tracking for the delivery is accessible easily and the delivery service was very much appreciated. They delivered with care, very friendly service, respect my property and the arrangement of furniture was very perfect.
