Bought a Maer 2seater leather recliner,July 2025.
Sales team in shop excellent but since then an absolute farce.
Original delivery date put back and had to wait until October for delivery but even then,revised delivery date put back again at very short notice, leaving us without a sofa to sit on!
Delivery day a joke ,although sofa started on its journey barely 10minutes from our house it was taken on a tour of central Scotland before arriving at our door way beyond its forecast delivery slot.
Within days of taken receipt of sofa ,noticed that leather rippled badly on arms and seat,even smoothing out after use failed to correct same.
The left hand recliner chair appears to have dropped of the level and the finish on right hand kick rest badly rippled.
With signs of leather rippling getting worse,we went back to store today 24/11 only to find a complete lack of interest from staff.
Whilst there we sat on showroom display of our sofa for around 5+ minutes got up to find no signs of rippling that we have appearing on ours,also cushions on showroom model appear firmer and better finish.
Told by sales staff,complaint to be raised online,shop only deals with sales!
Filled out complaint form online but no space given to give detailed account of our issues,only pre chosen options available which prevents expression of actual disgust with purchase.
So now we have to wait and find out what’s going to happen but this may be put out to a third party company,this is just an absolute farce!
Our last leather sofa from SCS lasted 13 years and was still in better condition than this new one (after 3 weeks) so we can only state that SCS are lucky to be getting one star since our experience to date on this occasion has been poor to shambolic.

Delivery set again for today guess what never arrived. Family continue to sit on a wooden floor as my brother a front line worker goes to work stressed.

Hi, we received our new sofa on Tuesday 11/11/25 after a delay. The delivery team did not have any protective coverings for their shoes or our new carpet which they walked on.
As soon as the first section was unwraped one of the delivery team then decided to try it out and lie down on it which is not very professional. We also had to ask with regards to the headrests that we ordered and it seemed that they had forgotton about them as they had to go back to the van to get them. It wasn't untill that evening that when we were checking the original invoice that they had not left our care kit which we had paid for.
In my opinion, they could be better prepared to enter properties and be more professional and ensure all items are delivered.
Overall we are happy with our new purchase.

Excellent customer service from beginning to end

Getting an email saying delivery between 10am and 1030 am then eventually getting delivered at 4.50 and the tracker saying there were no deliveries before mine, then after getting my sofa in my house one of the sections was broken , now having to wait on repair or replacement

The white leather sofa was covered in dirty marks there was damage to the leather at the side of the sofa ,the chair has a scrape on the seat cushion and both arms have deep dents in them ,the foot stool had a leg broke of which I totally refused I want to return the whole suite as its not of the standard expected.the delivery team had no idea what they were doing and had to be told by sales staff how to deliver it

We received forward information regarding delivery on preceding days and early on delivery day of likely arrival time. This was then confirmed and the delivery team arrived as predicted. The delivery and installation was carried out quickly and efficiently in a friendly manner. We were very pleased with the entire procedure.

The experience wouldn’t have been the same without John at scs he made the purchase of our sofa for our first house as easy as it can be and worked to the delivery date we needed couldn’t thank him enough

I am not happy with the delivery of my new suite , the delivery crew where very careless and hashty .
They didn't not bring the gliders for my suite , they had trouble assembly the suite , didn't give me time to check my property for damage , anxious for me to sign and leave .
After they left I have found damage to my wooden floor and my door frame .
I would like someone to contact me to discuss this .

I was last run on a very long day and the delivery crew were very efficient and still cheerful and friendly although they must have been tired. They checked everything before they left, making sure electrics were working, taking all items of packaging away.
Store staff were very helpful with colours and styles when choosing my new sofa and also when I panicked about getting it through my doors! explaining that it came apart for delivery.

The delivery/installation team advised beforehand when they would arrive. They arrived 5 minutes before. The team was knowledgeable , courteous and communicated well with my husband. All the relevant packing was removed. They also demonstrated how the soda bed operated. Very good experience overall.

Arrived before the time stated furniture in perfect condition and assembled with care both guys friendly and chatty, overall a good service and would recommend SCS to others,
