Saal Digital EU Arvostelua 

This was my first order with Saal and I am very happy with my choice of using Saal to make my photobooks!
Very good quality and my products was delivered several days before expected!
I will for sure order my photo products from Saal again next time!

Extremely disappointing experience from start to finish.

I wasn't new to premium photo books when I placed this order. I've created several high-end photo books in the past with another provider, and they looked and felt like professionally published coffee table books. Since I now needed a company that prints within Europe, I decided to try Saal based on its excellent reputation.

My first photo book cost around €150 and was intended as a gift. Unfortunately, it arrived with severely warped pages. Customer service initially attributed the issue to humidity, but after keeping the book in a dry environment for several days, nothing changed.

They agreed to provide a replacement, but the problems only got worse. When I reordered the exact same project, more than 15 photos that had previously been uploaded and successfully printed had mysteriously disappeared from the Saal platform. Their software had somehow lost them, leaving blank pages in the album.

I contacted customer service almost immediately after placing the order and asked them to cancel it, explaining that the album was incomplete because of a problem with their platform. They refused, saying the order could not be cancelled, even though they knew it would be printed with missing images.

The replacement album arrived exactly as expected: with blank pages. I had also switched from Silk Photo Paper to Glossy Photo Paper, hoping to avoid the warping issue, but I found the glossy paper to look and feel plasticky and much lower quality than I expected from a premium photo book.

To make matters worse, I was told I would receive a voucher so I could correct the project and order it again, but I never received it.

I understand that manufacturing issues can happen. What disappointed me most was how the situation was handled. Instead of resolving one problem, each step created another, and after multiple emails I was left with two unusable photo books and no real solution.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Saal.

Easy to create an album, very efficient service, and an amazing end product. I would highly recommend Saal Digital.

The products and the value for money are great.
After receiving a product with a slight defect, the complaint was handled fast and in a helpful manner, and a new product was shipped very fast.

I paid a crazy price for express shipping for a gift for a special occasion and I'm still waiting for my order after not only the express shipping date has passed, but also the standard shipping date. Do not recommend using Saal at all.
ETA: My order finally arrived and it was printed incorrectly, to make matters even worse. None of the text elements in our photo album were printed - there are big empty gaps instead.

I was truly impressed! The quality is outstanding, and both the order processing and delivery were incredibly fast. Everything exceeded my expectations. Thank you very much!

I use the services of SAAL for some time and I am totally satisfied with the professionalism, either producing your order, either shipping and delievering!
I already order some photobooks and photo prints (in paper and in metal).
The results are excellent. One only remark: the pricing is allways changing, due to the discounts that are temporaly applied.

Très bonne première expérience ! Je suis ravie de la qualité de mon album photo, le service client est au top, l'album photo a été imprimé en 1 jour et dès le lendemain, il était expédié.

Un des coins de mon album est arrivé un peu abîmé (comme s'il avait reçu un coup). Je ne sais pas si ça s'est produit lors de la livraison, peut-être qu'un peu de papier journal pour amortir les chocs aiderait ?

J'ai fait tout mon album via l'application, qui est pas mal du tout mais qui pourrait être un peu améliorée (des cotes indicatives pour plus de précision, quelques tous petits bugs, une option qui permettrait d'y mettre des repères, ...)

Je reste très satisfaite et recommanderais sur ce site pour mes prochains albums !

Expérience très partagée. J'avais une quinzaine de tirages fine art à imprimer pour une revu de portfolio, ça m'a pris un temps fou. Ca fait un paquet d'années que je n'ai pas vu une interface utilisateur aussi mal conçue: pour chaque photo, il me faut 5 ou 6 clics de confirmation, naviguer d'un côté à l'autre de l'interface, etc (l'idée, apparemment, est de créer une projet pour une photo, puis de le dupliquer pour chaque nouvelle photo, ça m'a fait gagner un peu de temps).

De plus, m'étant trompé dans la gestion des profils colorimétriques (ma faute, j'ai lu de travers), j'ai voulu annuler ma commande quelques secondes minutes plus tard. une pop-up s'affiche pour me demander confirmation. Je confirme... sauf qu'en fait non, ça n'annule rien du tout (spoiler: d'après le service client, on ne peut pas annuler une commande, même une minute après l'avoir passée... wtf!?).

S'ensuit un long échange avec le service client, j'obtiens un voucher pour repasser commande (merci), je repasse commande. Avant de payer on m'annonce une date de livraison au 05/05, parfait). Sauf qu'une fois la commande passée, je reçois une confirmation où l'on m'annonce une date de livraison estimée au 11, soit après la review pour laquelle je fais ces tirages. Pour un service pro, grosse déception. J'ai de nouveau contacté le service client, mais là plus de réponse...

Heureusement, j'ai reçu les tirages avant le 11, juste la veille de la revue de portfolio.

Côté qualité, les tirages sont propres mais me semblent bien sombres (à cause du papier baryté?) malgré que mon écran Eizo soit correctement calibré et que j'ai utilisé les profils fournis pour le soft proofing et exporté en ProPhotoRGB comme demandé).

Donc voilà, expérience très mitigée. C'est pas cher, mais ça ne vaut pas très cher non plus.

Point positifs:
- Service client généralement réactif (sauf quand on commence à les pousser un peu, même en restant très correct et poli)
- Tirages de qualité (mais sombres?)

Points d'amélioration:
- Expérience utilisateur sur site et "logiciel"
- Possibilité d'annulation de commande pendant un certain délai
- Dates de livraison cohérentes avant et après achat

Das Album selbst ist hochwertig verarbeitet und sieht einfach wunderschön aus.
Die Lieferung war schnell und alles kam in einwandfreiem Zustand an.

The print was amazing, but color brightness was live then expected. Next time I need to extract brightness for the metal print

the product is of good quality and delivery well packaged and rapid. The experience online leaves a bit to be desired. uploading images to order different sizes on different papers was confusing. choosing sizes was also confusing, some of my images arrived full bleed and slightly cropped. I struggled to control the tools in a meaningful way.

Beautiful print on metal, fast delivery, and affordable. Very pleased!
