Quality Part X LTD Arvostelua 

I am writing this two months after purchasing a car from Quality Part X Stevenage (not straight after buying which they are quite forceful in getting you to do…), and I would recommend going elsewhere. When I first purchased the car, I was not told there was only one key until I had handed the money over and was about to drive away. This should have been mentioned and recognised in the price as it costs north of £500 to have a second key made. However, my main issues have been with the after sales team. I noticed there were a few flaws with some trimmings on the car as well as some dents on the roof, so was told to contact the after sales team to book to bring the car back in to fix these, but the after sales team seem to not like to answer there phone, so it took a while to get this booked in (eventually done over WhatsApp, still never been able to speak to someone on the phone). I took the day off work to take it in to get these sorted, but I was then told the dents would have to be done on another day as the ‘dent guy’ is only in on Monday. I was told when booking this that this would be able to be done in a day. So after taking another day off work and a three hour round trip, I took my car back in only to be told they would need to keep it in for up to a week, which seeing as it driven myself in the car and live an hour and half away (which I explained prior), was not possible. The communication was shocking, and due to the car not being properly prepared before selling I had now lost out on two days work and petrol costs. I decided to take my car elsewhere to get the dents repaired, only to be told it is such a huge job that was likely to cost around £3,000 due to needing a new roof. I contacted the after sales team following this and have (not so) shockingly been ignored.

All they care about is getting the cars out as quickly as possible, and care very little about their customers.

Quality Part X in Dunstable were fantastic when I took my son to purchase a car. This was a big purchase for him as a young adult. Fantastic service and knowledgeable staff made for a great experience. Would highly recommend. Thank you Quality Part X Dunstable!

1-Star Review: Almost 2 Years of Stress, Danger & Negligence – Please Avoid Quality Part X Stevenage

I am writing this review to warn others about my incredibly distressing experience with Quality Part X (Stevenage). What should have been a straightforward car purchase turned into nearly two years of stress, financial loss, safety concerns, and consistently poor customer service.

I purchased a vehicle from them in February 2023, and within just one month serious problems began. The oil light repeatedly appeared, mechanical faults kept resurfacing, and the car eventually broke down completely in May 2023 while I was travelling with my three young children. We were left stranded for hours. As a single mother, this was frightening and extremely difficult to manage—especially as the dealership offered no courtesy car or assistance.

Despite numerous “repairs,” the problems never went away. An independent MOT even flagged an active oil leak. Throughout the next year, the car was in and out of garages, disrupting my work, childcare arrangements, and finances.

In December 2024, Quality Part X collected the vehicle and replaced the entire engine. This alone shows the car was never fit for purpose from the beginning.

Even after the engine replacement, the issues continued. The final breaking point came when the car suffered a major failure in Bournemouth, again with my three children in the car. We endured a 10-hour tow back to Stevenage, and I returned the vehicle to the dealership because I could no longer risk my family’s safety.

To make matters worse, Quality Part X had previously returned the car to me without a valid MOT, which resulted in me being stopped by the police — a completely unacceptable and dangerous oversight.

I have spent almost two years trying to be heard, dealing with ongoing oil leaks and mechanical faults, and suffering immense stress. The customer service has been consistently poor — dismissive, slow, and lacking accountability.

Even my sister experienced issues with this dealership. She bought a car from the same branch, and it broke down on the very day she collected it. She returned it within her 30-day rights, but despite her short involvement with them, she too was met with incredibly poor service.

Most recently, when my car was towed back to Quality Part X in July 2005, the After-Sales Manager, Omar, told me an independent investigation would be carried out to determine the cause of the major fault. I should receive the findings of the report within 7 days but four months later, I am still waiting for the findings, which only reflects the ongoing lack of professionalism and care.

All I have ever asked for is a safe, reliable vehicle for my family. Instead, I have been left emotionally exhausted, financially drained, and constantly worried about our safety. My case is now being escalated further because I cannot continue to be ignored.

I strongly advise anyone considering buying from Quality Part X (Stevenage) to proceed with extreme caution. My experience has been nothing short of a nightmare — and nearly two years later, I am still dealing with the consequences.

I came in to check 2 cars, and I was met with excellent customer service. They made me feel welcomed and allowed me to check the cars at my own leisure. All the staff were very helpful especially Faris who helped me make my decision and purchase my first Electric car! A very happy customer :) Thank you.

I travelled 3.5 hours to test drive a Peugeot 308 SW that I eventually purchased. Unfortunately, the whole experience was disappointing from start to finish.

When I arrived, the car wasn’t clean or ready, and I was allowed to test drive it without anyone checking my licence or completing any paperwork. Despite this, the test drive went fine, and I agreed to part exchange my old car.

During the sale, I was repeatedly given incorrect information. The dealership didn’t have the correct V5 paperwork and wrongly told me it was all done online now. I was also misinformed about taxing the car — told there was a 24-hour grace period and that the dealership would handle it. In reality, they hadn’t taxed it at all. I later found out I’d been driving the car illegally for several days because of their mistake and lack of understanding of the process. I even had to explain to them how to correctly tax the car.

After finally getting the car taxed five days later, I returned my old car’s V5 and spare key and requested my £100 holding fee refund. This turned into another ordeal — multiple calls, broken promises, and confusion about both my new and old vehicle details. It took nearly a week and several phone calls before the refund was finally processed.

To make matters worse, I later received an automated email asking if I still wanted to test drive the very car I’d already purchased, showing how poor their record-keeping and communication are.

Overall, the entire process was stressful, unprofessional, and filled with misinformation. I would strongly advise anyone considering buying from this dealership to be cautious and double-check everything they’re told.

They were all very helpful and friendly. Lots of well priced second hand cars. Not a fancy showroom but I expect that’s how they stay competitive!
Car was cleaned and polished for us while we waited. Car tax sorted too.
Quite a lot of pressure applied to buy their warranty insurance, we resisted!
