Potters Resorts Arvostelua 

Our mid week break at Potters resort Hopton-on-Sea was amazing from the moment we arrived till the moment we left. There wasn’t a single member of staff in any area that wasn’t welcoming helpful and reassuring. The staff on the Security gate, Reception, Dining room, bar staff , all of the Entertainment Team doing quizzes, games , singing, the staff doing craft sessions, Sports, swimming archery , rifle shooting and Segway sessions were all great. Our favourites though were the nightly shows by the Potters Theatre Company and the amazing food that we had at every meal . Nothing was too much trouble. We didn’t want to go home. Can’t wait to be back again one day .

We had an amazing weekend celebrating my birthday. The staff were first class as usual. The weather was glorious so it was nice to experience entertainment on the South Terrace. Enjoyed the new show Amplified but would still like to see a bit of variety during the weekend break, rather than all singing and dancing acts. Simply The Best is still by far the best show of the weekend. Great service in the restaurant, as always. Credit to the chefs, bar staff, security, housekeeping, gardeners, maintenance, office, reception and anyone behind the scenes who I’ve missed.

Spectacular from start to finish, everything is wonderful, staff are amazing, food stunning and entertainment is first class

My husband and myself have now been to both Potters Resorts and enjoyed both thoroughly.
We love the fact that we don’t need to stand in queues at passport control.
The food and entertainment is second to none, but the thing that makes the break memorable is the staff.
So friendly !!

Potters as it is is very good, the last one we did was a dance weekend break ran by someone who was not a potters employee.
The site itself at hopton on sea, is well attended and this was the second time we stayed there. We would go again to potters but not the dance break weekend.
We have also tried the potters five lakes in Essex this was also as good and although a long way from where we live, it's worth going especially if you like sports.

This was the first time my husband and myself have been to Potters and what a wonderful experience we had. Everything was first class especially the food and the wonderful shows. The staff are brilliant. We found they could not do enough for us. We enjoyed it so much we have joined Potters Friends and booked next years holiday. Can’t wait!

A very relaxing environment with plenty of things to do for most ages

Fantastic short break. All the staff and entertainers are so welcoming. Loads to do dependant on your interests. Food and drink off the scale. All in all a great experience for everybody.

A few years ago we went to Potters 6 times over 5 consecutive years and had a great holiday each time. So this year we returned to Potter’s to celebrate a special anniversary. Much of what we found this time was still great and thoroughly enjoyable - the thoughtful & caring staff, the comfortable accommodation, the food & drinks, the shows & entertainment, most of the events, all top 5* quality. The only thing we thought was somewhat spoilt was that the originally cosy and intimate Garden Room Bar had been greatly enlarged to incorporate the old “small sports hall”. In doing this, it had lost all of the original great atmosphere it used to have. As a consequence, we felt that events now held there (quizzes, singalongs, etc) were no longer anywhere near as enjoyable as they used to be. Nonetheless, Potter’s still offers brilliant holidays and excellent value for money.

As usual wonderful weekend. New show is brilliant Would appreciate a varied menu although that doesn't spoil the fun you have. Can't wait for my next visit

The staff were very friendly and always happy to help. The room was comfortable, food plentiful and entertainment amazing.

We would go a lot more if it wasn’t so expensive!

Have stayed at Potters many times , both as a family break and to watch the World Bowls, it is always a great experience. The staff are always polite and extremely helpful. The accommodation is always in good order and comfortable. The food is generally excellent and they are always more than helpful in meeting my dietary issues. As a venue for World Bowls I don’t think it could be bettered , combining all the above with the chance to see and mix with these top class bowlers is perfect.

Another fantastic break at Potters!! 5th year running and always have a great time with lots of laughs. Hopton is a great site, with a fantastic team working there. Always recommend to people and we will be back! X

Potters give excellent customer service - food delicious & plentiful & drink was inclusive - accommodation although basic was clean & comfortable beds with quite large rooms. Entertainment was superb. Plus the bonus of England world football match watched on the huge screen in the theatre & they won that round.

Everything in one place . Fun to be had all day . Good evening entertainment . Could do with AC in the dining rooms . Clean comfortable accomodation . Staff friendly and helpful .

First impressions having arrived today have been rather poor. We have a disabled party member who is staying in the hotel and her daughter and carer was also booked to stay in the hotel. We found out on the day of travel today that they were moving my Gran’s daughter/ carer and her son out of the hotel to a bungalow due to a ‘maintenance issue.’
The attitude to this last minute change (which is clearly due to overbooking hotel rooms and then shoving people in to the bungalows) has very much been nothing we can do about it and like it or lump it. Only form of compensation offered is the actual price supplement difference. We would have reconsidered the booking if knew this would be an issue before we travelled. Other first impressions include arriving for dinner and some of our party being placed upstairs despite a request for tables to be together. For the £1000s paid for a ‘luxury resort’ the service has not met expectations and not enough has been done to resolve this matter in a satisfactory manner.

Overall a good holiday. A bit pricey but you get a lot for your money.
Our room was good: enough space, drinks cooler, safe, comfy beds although the air conditioning barely functioned.
All the public rooms were too hot, the air conditioning not up to the heatwave.
Staff were all friendly, helpful and efficient.
Evening shows were excellent except for Amplified which was terrible. It was way too loud and made my ears ache. A lead female singer sang loud enough and shrill enough to put an air raid siren to shame. Songs sung by women, when the original was sung by a man felt really off.
Some gameshows, sketches and warm-ups in shows were very childish.
The restaurant tables were very nicely spaced out, the food quality and choice excellent and the service perfect.
Daytime entertainment was good, though a bit too focused on sporting activities. Virtual reality, crafting, mini golf and quizzes were great. Seating in the garden terrace was uncomfortable and the ‘shows’ iffy.

Our first visit to Potters, Hopton. Fantastic food and drink, so much to do. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We took part in many of the activities, a great experience. Our hotel room was very comfortable and spacious. Everywhere was well kept, clean and tidy. The swimming pool area was very relaxing. We enjoyed our time so much we have booked to go again later in the year. Brilliant.

Many varied activities to suit all ages and very well managed. Entertainment excellent, particularly the evening shows.
Good variation of food and generally of a good standard (not 5 star but perfectly acceptable). The arrival lunch however which was an additional cost to the holiday was awful, the 3 of us each had different options and were all of a terrible standard which was a really bad start to our holiday. I would not recommend paying extra for this service.
I found it a bit odd that the only drink offered during your meal was wine. I think it would make quite a difference to the dining experience if there was a basic drinks menu to be served with at the same time as your meal.
Mostly helpful and friendly staff and an overall nice experience of our first time at Potters Hopton.

Have been to both Potters many times. Every thing is always perfect, food,and staff are excellent, and entertainment is very good. the rooms are always clean and well presented.
