1/2 my order has not been delivered and left the phone ringing for 45 minutes
I placed an order for cat food , being doing this for about 2 years, always been pretty good only a few hiccups, this time though only shipped half my order, tried to call - not pick up for 45 minutes had to give up (not in any realm should it take 45 minutes to answer a phone call, no excuse i believe they are waiting for you to give up) only half my expensive cat food has arrived and not a response form email and no joy on the phone - please can someone try to resolve this

We have used Pet Drugs Online for two years for prescription drugs for our Retriever, normally OK and quick deliveries, but a VERY confusing website designed to continuously push new sales of every pet imaginable at you - can't the web designers realise that a dog owner is not interested horses and budgies! A lot of problems regarding new prescriptions and uploading a new prescription when a new order had been put 'on hold' because the old prescription had become outdated. And in this IT aware age why do they want PDF images when most scans are JPEG? No way to cancel the order and try anew. Had to phone up - oh dear - the usual problem, not enough call staff, waited forever. Then told to 'upload on the website' which was the VERY problem, I couldn't, USELESS.

Have since recieved an email saying order to be dispatched. I have enailed, phoned and no response. I do not want the goods. It seems they have been dispatched and I now have to return them. They need a quick way of cancelling orders.

Address form issues
I've been a customer for 7 years, always had great service until last time.
Seems that their address auto-fill function has been updated sometime in the last year, it glitches and doesn't remember things well (for example- you go to update your shipping address and select it to be the same as the billing address, by the next page the form has broken and forgotten it).
Last time I've ordered some flea and worm treatment the form had glitched and autofilled the shipping address to have the correct street address, and some random, incorrect town/ postcode nowhere near me. There's no other street with the same name as mine anywhere else in the country, the autofilled address literally does not exist. The billing address stayed as the real address. Of course I should have spotted the mistake before confirming the order, but it's an easy mistake to make if you've never had this issue before.
Royal Mail of course delivered to a random house on the post code street after the parcel bounced about for a month (their own customer service saying this never should have happened and to reach out to Pet Drugs Online). PDO Customer service were unhelpful as they would only issue a refund if the parcel made it back to them, and I lost £50.

If I could give this company a zero I would!!! Five days I have been trying to contact them!! No emails were answered and neither was the phone. IMPORTANT HEART TABLETS FOR MY 12 year old dog!! they are a disgrace. i've waited days and dyas for there prescription approval. their customer dept on the telephone hasn't ansered for 2 days. i've left repeated emails for a response. but nothing. recommend going with other firms that offer discount but actually deliver your pet's drugs!

If I could give this company minus stars I would! They take your money when you place your order; then take their time to let you know you need to upload the prescription again. Then take more time to let you know there is another issue. I'd suggest they check the prescription, get the prescription right (as a first time customer and not tec savvy people may need patience). Then when the prescription is recieved and processed take the money! I'm now waiting on a refund as I have no medication and have paid for the fact I've recieved nothing!
Slow unhelpful customer service
Substantial amount of specialist dog food ordered but when it arrived the courier simply dropped it on the driveway and the packaging had clearly been opened which was clearly visible on the couriers own delivery photo. One small item was missing.
Contacted customer service almost one month ago on 24th April and there they are still unwilling to resolve the issue. Replies to emails are slow and unhelpful.
Based on this experience I will look elsewhere for my pet’s meds.
No Refund and Poor Communications
I ordered the wrong food and sent it back via UPS and tracked delivery. I have proof of delivery and they signed for it. Now they are saying they haven’t received it and need to look into it. I don’t receive a quick reply from them and when I do it’s from a different person every time. Very poor.

Have used Pet Drugs Online for some time for both general and prescription items but in recent months service and delivery have gone down the toilet. Yes, prices are great but the lead times for Prescription reviews assuming you can actually upload without problems and delivery timescales are now just ridiculous. I would suggest you only consider ordering if your requirement is not urgent best avoid if it is.

Very disappointing experience
Very disappointing experience. I ordered recovery food for my cat after surgery, so the delivery was time-sensitive. The parcel never arrived and appears to be stuck with DPD, even though it was supposed to be delivered to my address.
I contacted Pet Drugs Online and only received an automated reply saying they would respond within 2 working days, but 3 days later I still have no proper response or resolution. By this point the food is no longer needed, as it was specifically for post-surgery recovery.
Poor communication, no clear update, and no refund yet. I expected much better customer service for an order involving an animal’s recovery.
AVOID - UNETHICAL, BAD SERVICE.
UPDATE: Since posting this review they have issued a full refund and empathised with me, However i should not have had to write a review or battled through the email to get this resolved. My original review still stands but Ive raised it to 2 stars from 1 star.

This company is not what it used to be.
I ordered dog food and a few other items. The package arrived quickly but the contents were just chucked in with zip ties and plastic bags as ‘cushioning’. Sadly this inadequate packaging led to my dog food bag being ripped open. The food smelt rancid and i binned the bag after taking photos. On top of this they missed out an item so they sent it separately. Fine. The missed item has a 1 month date on it. Not great.
When trying to contact customer service - well there is none! I had to email and sent photos thinking i would be offered a FULL refund or replacement like they used to do. sadly after 2 days waiting they would offer me a ‘partial refund’ or a replacement - thats fine other than they want me to send the spoilt bag back to them before getting a replacement! This is daft. When i responded back to them, i got a “we will be looking into this shortly” generic response 3 days later. So i am left with no food, no refund and trying to deal with their mess.
Surely a photo of the order number, and the split open bag is enough - what are they planning on doing with the spoilt bag anyways? Under the consumer rights act im entitled to a full refund or replacement as the item is not as described, Not sure why they are being difficult.
Ive been a long standing customer since 2024. This is not a company i would do business with anymore. What if it had been prescription medicine? They are not even that competitive anymore, costing the same as the leading brands but with worse service! Avoid! Their pet saver plan seems a shill to get more money from you so you can get “better service”… this is morally and ethically wrong. AVOID AVOID AVOID!
Exceptionally Poor Service
I placed an order on the 1st May for essential heart medication. Like other reviews, I was told they did not have my prescription. I got this resent by my vets and then had to chase to ensure delivery.....apparently it is coming today.
This organisation has historically been great. There is definitely something going on behind the scenes that has significantly affected their service.
I have had to purchase medication direct from my vets to ensure my dog had a consistent supply which is at a premium price.
Simply not acceptable.
I will be using an alternative supplier in the future.
