I am an existing home owner but needed advice on obtaining a mortgage (in effect a bridging loan) on a new property before my existing one is sold. As I am aged the wrong side of 65 and retired I wasn't very optimistic.

My mortgage journey with The New Homes Group began in 2023 when I was supported by Karen Rozier. Although I unfortunately lost out on the first property, Karen was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and supportive throughout the process. I started a new mortgage application in December, and once again The New Homes Group was there to support me. I was initially referred to Robel Tewelde to complete my application. When Robel went on annual leave, Charlie Hood and Megan Dean seamlessly took over my case to ensure everything continued moving forward.

My application was complex and took from January until June 2026 to reach a successful outcome. It was a long, stressful, and emotional journey, but throughout the entire process the team never gave up on me. Rebecca King, the manager, was exceptional. When we decided to apply with a new lender, Julia Vernon took over my case midway through the process while Charlie Hood and Megan Dean were on annual leave. Her commitment and persistence made a real difference.

On 23 June 2026, I finally received my mortgage offer. It was a moment I will never forget. Owning my own home has been a long-time dream, and even now it still doesn't feel real. I truly believe God has answered my prayers, and I am overwhelmed with gratitude.
