⭐ 1 Star – Dead on Arrival & Customer Support That Vanishes
Right out of the box, the right earbud did not work. Not “occasionally cuts out,” not “needs pairing help”—completely dead from day one. For a so-called 2025 Edition product, that’s already unacceptable.
I contacted customer support and, at first, they responded relatively quickly. That’s the only positive thing I can say. The moment I asked for a return shipping label for a full refund—or at the very least a replacement pair that actually works—everything went downhill.
Every response came from the same person, “Rex.” No escalation. No alternative contact. When I followed up asking for a shipping label, the replies slowed… then stopped entirely. I even sent emails from multiple accounts trying to reach anyone else. Nope. Still only Rex. And eventually? Total ghosting.
So now I’m stuck with a broken product and a company that simply disappears when it’s time to stand behind what they sell.
If you’re thinking about buying the Mifo O5 Plus Gen 3, ask yourself this: What happens if something goes wrong? Because based on my experience, once they have your money, you’re on your own.
Defective product. No resolution. Customer support that ghosts you.
Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere.
The earbuds simply don't work...
The earbuds simply don't work...Random un-pairings and unable to sync.
When asked to trouble shoot, you're told to reset and tap this many times and retrieve the buds simultaneously and perform other silly gestures to fix the buds.
Paid 150$ with 10$ extra for insured shipping for what I thought was a Canadian company, but clearly the customer support office is elsewhere.
After exchanging multiple emails, was told to drop it off at a courier service 10 minutes away from me.
The courier does not exist... the address given was actually a shawarma place on Lawrence avenue in Toronto. Shelby's.
3/5 stars for the laugh; 0/5 for customer service and the product itself.
Nightmare company
Ordered a pair of earbuds for my son. Saw reviews after ordering and tried to cancel the order the same day I ordered. A week later, they emailed me saying sure we can do that. An hour after that I got a shipping confirmation email. That started the next 2 months of trying to get a return authorization so I could get my money back. Visa finally stepped in a reversed the charge. Today, UPS shows with with a return slip. I luckily had it and happily gave it back. Order originally placed Oct 15th 2025. Today is Jan13 2026. Don't deal with this company.
AI slop customer service
This company used to be good. I bought four products from them but the last one was not good sound quality was poor and the volume indicators were too loud. I could not be guaranteed that they would refund my money. There is no phone number to contact for customer service so you were allowed to deal with an AI replies on email. Despite it saying that Olivia is an actual service person and that my requests are reviewed by a real person the responses I received from AI via email were absolute garbage and made no reference to my specific concerns. Stay away from this company at all costs

Over the past few years I have purchased 3 sets of mifo earbuds. I really enjoyed the product but it’s been my experience that once they hit the 1 year mark, the left earbud stops working. I have two other sets that I’ve hung onto with only the right earbud working. I purchased my last pair in August 2025 and already started to have issues about a month ago (October 2025). My left earbud will suddenly stop working when I’m listening to something…even if it’s a new, full, charge. I’ve tried to get through to customer service unsuccessfully and they don’t respond to emails. Terrible customer service. I won’t be buying aging and recipient the same for all others.

I ordered a set of gen 3, a week went by and no confirmation. The money was taken out of my account the day of purchase. I emailed support. They got back to me with no information about if it sent or not. I asked for a refund.. and then they went silent, so basically now I have no headphones and out of money
I would no recommend buying anything from this company unless you want to give them your money for free
Worst quality earphones and WORST customer service
I really was excited for these earphones and really wanted it to work, and the whole thing was a total disaster. When they arrived the sound was so horrible (tinny), I used them about five minutes and knew they had to go back. (The case is also SUPER heavy, which surprised me, but I was willing to get over it). I tried to email the company and it took days before my emails could even go through and double that for anyone to respond. They gave me instructions for how to reset, which I was willing to try, but it didn’t change anything. So then the whole process of trying to get ahold of them again. The process for return was like it was 30 years ago — I had to take pictures and send them in to be assessed, again the whole process taking forever. Finally they told me how to return, and I had to get it insured and send photos of the proof, all at my own expense. And then weeks after it had arrived, yet again I had to reach out, they said they were still waiting, I had to send a link to show how they had already signed upon receipt. Then they said they had an internal issue and couldn’t process my refund — at this point I had no earphones AND was out of pocket the full cost. Only when I threatened to contact the company President did they finally send me my money. It took over two months. You can do much, much better…..
If you happen to get a lemon set of earbuds, you're stuck with them
I have the O5 Gen 5 Touch. From the outset, they have been difficult to use. The earbuds would only connect to my phone one at a time. I reset them multiple times, since that was the only solution offered. After 5 times they did connect properly. Then they started connecting to my phone even while in the case, again randomly. Very annoying when I would try to answer a call, and couldn't hear the caller until I turned off the bluetooth. I eventually figured out that the only surefire way to prevent this is to keep the case open, but that isn't practical if they're in my backpack. They also charge only inconsistently - sometimes I have them plugged in and they charge no problem, other times I discover as I'm going for a workout that the battery drained to zero. I finally reached out to Mifo to say that I wanted to return these, as they're obviously defective, and they told me to reset the earbuds LOL. I told them that I already tried that. Then they wanted a "high quality video of the problem". Which I could only get if someone else happened to be around with their phone to video these random occurrences. So I've decided to bin these and just go back to my old brand. So, buyer beware.

What a horrible company, obviously a scam, charged me for a set of earbuds and never sent them. Cannot get ahold of anyone and they will not respond to e-mails, paid for the on the Shop App and now the company is gone off of the App ,said they were a Canadian Company and I wanted to shop within Canada. It is a scam, do not waste your money with these scammers. No-Earbuds received but I paid for them.BS.

My husband’s mifo 05 CAUGHT ON FIRE while charging and nearly burnt the entire house down! I sent a complaint to their customer service and they sent back some stock response that the warrantee had expired, without any information about the headphones other than photos of their charred remains. Absolutely TERRIBLE and DANGEROUS! Buyer seriously beware.
Worst earphone purchase Mifo Canada should be ashamed
Am not sure how these reviews are gathered. I placed an order for the Mifo 05 Plus Gen 3 earphones on 2025-06-10 after reviewing their positive reviews online. I received it in about a week and when I unpacked it the left earphones wire mesh was torn. Looked like it was one of those refurbished pairs. Also whenever I was using these downtown, the right side would keep dropping. It’s been a month and a half of dealing with their customer service cut and paste responses to no avail. I wanted to return these right when I received them but that’s not an option. Do Not believe their return policy - all lies. Absolutely the worst earphone purchase ever. It’s going in the garbage.

Horrible product and even worse customer service, received faulty earbuds, never recharged after batteries died the first time. Tried to get me to trouble shoot, that took me outside the 30 day return window, tried to get a replacement pair and now I have been ghosted

Honestly, dealing with these cowboys has been the worst online buying experience I've ever had! Product is substandard, support is contrived and unhelpful. The refund process is not as straightforward as it should be. Even if a refund is requested within 14 days of receipt of a product (a refund is your legal right when buying online) MifiAudio have their own policy and stalling tactics to slow the process down, such as constant troubleshooting emails, request for photos of the product and references to they policy which states they will levy a restock fee on any refunds. This is of course complete fantasy and should not be accepted! MifiAudio operate online and are there for subject to the same legal obligations of any other online retailer. Keep pushing them, don't let them get away with your money. I'm currently being ignored after sending back a product which I requested a refund for within 14 days.

They sent me a defective earbud replacement, sent me months of useless troubleshooting emails, then after reading my review offered to give me a refund which the company never fulfilled. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. I wish I would have done a general search to see how many people thing that this company is a big scam.
Defective Product & Extremely Poor Customer Support
I ordered my Gen 3s on May 13 and received them on May 16. As a previous purchaser of the 05 Gen 2s, I was very excited to receive my new pair… until I tried them.
I had several issues with them including them cutting out on a constant basis, then cutting back in, frequently unsynced, leading to a strange and annoying echoing effect.
Understanding that sometimes, these things happen, I contacted customer support, who suggested I factory reset the earbuds, which I had already done three previous times in an attempt to correct the problem, to no avail. I decided to humour the support rep and go ahead and do it a fourth time, and as expected, nothing changed. In fact, the problems only got worse.
Having done that, I told the support person I wanted to exchange the defective product for a new (hopefully functioning) pair.
Before we could do that, I was delayed by support once again, as I was told they needed me to take pictures of the case and buds from numerous angles etc. to make sure I hadn't damaged them physically. Why they couldn't have made that request during one of our previous exchanges, I don't know.
Once again, I did as asked and sent them photos, clearly illustrating there was indeed no physical damage to any of the components, and once again made clear I was simply looking for an exchange, and that I was still very eager to give the product another chance.
Finally, support agreed the earbuds were defective, and agreed to do the exchange. I was told I would be sent a return label with instructions “shortly” in order to begin the exchange process.
THAT WAS SIX DAYS AGO!
I’ve still yet to receive a shipping label and instructions, and to say my patience is beginning to wear thin would be an understatement.
It took me three days to get my earbuds, from order to delivery, and I’VE NOW BEEN STUCK IN THIS EXCHANGE PROCESS FOR NEARLY TWO WEEKS, WITH NO END IN SIGHT AND ALL THEY HAVE TO DO IS SEND ME A FREAKING EMAIL!
I am beyond upset at this point and have now demanded a full refund rather than an exchange.
I'm over this poor customer service experience and am demanding a remedy.
