Lucky Rentals Arvostelua 

Unsere Erfahrung mit Euro-Campers, jetzt Lucky Campers, war so, dass wir die Company niemals weiter empfehlen würden. Der Service und die telefonische Erreichbarkeit waren stets gut und sehr freundlich. Aber die Autos, die da vermietet werden, sind "schrottreif". Wir mussten ein Auto mit Getriebeschaden tauschen, das zweite war ebenfalls an vielen Stellen defekt (Tisch kaputt, klemmende Tür, Aircondition funktionierte nicht, es regnete rein). Das hat unseren Urlaub durch verschiedene Werkstattbesuche sehr getrübt und behindert. Und leider haben wir auch andere Reisende mit Fahrzeugen dieser Firma in Werkstätten getroffen - ebenfalls mit defekten Autos. Diese Fahrzeuge sind offensichtlich sehr alt (was erstmal kein Problem ist) aber eben überhaupt nicht gewartet. Und auch nicht so autark, wie behauptet wird - die Heizung funktioniert beispielsweise nur gut, wenn man an Strom angeschlossen ist - also auf dem Campingplatz. Die angebliche deutsche Betreuung durch einen Vertreter der Firma hier in Deutschland hat uns vor Ort bei den Problemen in keiner Weise geholfen.
Wer entspannt Urlaub machen will, sollte eine andere Firma nehmen.

The campervan they gave us had holes through the roof that leaked when it rained and when we took it in to the garage during our holiday all they could do was put duck tape on it because it was a fiber glass issue. Our holiday was amazing our campervan was not would recommend videoing and taking photos of your campervan before you drive away in it. They only gave us a small refund but we had to deal with it constantly for the rest of the trip.

We had a very old car 2006. Shock absorber absolutely none fonctionnel anymore, we were not feeling in security on the road.
No commodity at all, no coffee machine,
Door luck broken.
The shower drain was falling below the perforated.
We can not fill gas bottle is out of date. Expired December 2023.
We needed to buy a new one!!

Pleased to say that using Lucky Rentals was a completely positive experience - from the cleanliness, functionality, and reliability of the vehicle to the helpfulness of the very excellent Grace in the office to refunding the extra gas bottles we didn’t use, it was all much better than expectations.

On a tight budget we basically paid $2.300 for 22 days which was awesome it works out to be like $100 a day, we could never have afforded to pay minimum $300 a day for accommodation anywhere then the service was great and the vehicle we hired never missed a beat with our travels . Thank you all lucky rentals

Had the Lucky Rambler for nearly three weeks but had some initial issues with the shower not draining and the gas cylinder being out of date...
The team were great to deal with and did everything they could to get us sorted out as fast as they could. Great response times and fast repairs by the associated repair centres.
Overall, a great experience.

Everything was very easy from catching the shuttle to picking up and returning the van. What you get for the price is unbeatable and very well worth it. We had 2 adults and 3 kids we all thoroughly enjoyed our time in the camper. I couldn't recommend it enough. Staff was excellent and very pleasant to deal with. No issues at all with the whole process. We will definitely be back

Friendly staff easy to book and pick-up and return. Quick and easy to collect.

The car was old and not in a good condition. Chair broken, bed collapsed, tires no profile etc. We complained but this was best car ??? At delivery we shared complained ansd asked for resction. Office should reply??!! Heard nothing, sofar!

From our very first email enquiry to returning our Lucky Rover campervan in Auckland, everything went incredibly smoothly. The shuttle pickup from Auckland Airport and the briefing session at the office were efficient and easy to follow.

The van itself had basic facilities, but everything we needed was provided — pillows, blankets, chairs, table, cooker, water sink and even a portable toilet. Everything was in good, clean condition, making our trip comfortable and convenient.

Overall, it was great value for money and perfectly suited our budget. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an easy, affordable campervan experience in NZ!

Liked: helpful staff, price and self contained van. Van in good mechanical condition, no problems or leaks despite age. Clean and compact with comfortable bed!
Disliked: We were given one of the older vans (apparently) so it did lack horsepower and fuel economy, both probably due to vehicle age (over 450+km on odometer). Av 6-7.5 kms per litre driving around 80kms per hr on flatish roads (14-17 litres per 100km), but no great need to go fast either!

Not friendly Service

Lucky Rentals are a company that have the most helpful wonderful staff. I only have good things to say about all the crew at this company. The origional van we hired had a battery issue and on day three we were still having a wee problem. The company sent a staff member from Christchurch to Dunedin with an upgraded vehicle a bottle of wine and a days refund for me. That is real service. Totally recommend Lucky Rentals as a company to use

The staff were lovely and made the picking up and dropping off really easy!
Even though we had a leak in our van after reporting this they were quick to get us a replacement van either no hassles.

Substandard vehicle. The power chord connection to the camp connection didn’t work properly. Needed a lot of adjustments to make it work. Super high petroleum consumption. Used almost double the budget to reach the destination then required.

The lady on the phone - super rude to be answering any form of questions. Not very nice to be in a customer service support.

We had a 4 berth camper van and it’s super comfortable, the process to booking the van, arranging the ferry, picking up and dropping off the van was effortless. We had no problems travelling with it and will definitely recommend it.

2006 model on 484000km mileage,check engine from pick.up guaranteed that will be ok. Van was not worthy for long travel and uphill road,its like crawling to the top. Gas consumption is terrible. Lucky and thankful for me it was relocation and arived alive in my destination but will not do it again in the future with there van.

Staff were very helpful at pickup, and by email throughout the hire. The Camper was cozy, watertight (very important on the West Coast!) and started first time, every time, no matter how cold it was. Dropoff process was just as easy, and at only 7 minutes from the airport, could not have been more convenient.

Organised and booked from Australia for a trip in NZ, I would not hesitate to hire from them again, the rates were reasonable and the service was fantastic!
