I called back Let Alliance this afternoon after a missed call this morning. Iona Barron was amazing and very friendly and informative while walking me through the steps of the insurance avaliable to me as a tenant. She was very efficient and definitely very good at her job!

Lost our deposit on a property because of a last minute change in our circumstances which meant we could no longer go ahead. We asked if we could proceed with a different property that was able to suit our needs that was still with let alliance, and were told we would not be able to as our agent, Rachel, had informed the prospective landlord that we were "high risk" - something that would be done for all future enquiries.

Took me 2 weeks to get my check completed, which has ended up costing me a lot of money.

I spoke to someone on the phone and asked two questions about my bank statements, then uploaded them based on their answers. Days later I had heard nothing so I called again and was informed that my check hadn't gone ahead because my bank statements were invalid - as a result of following the previous person's advice.

I tried calling them one morning and the phone just cut off, the same number I had previously called simply didn't work. I had to dig around for ages to find out that they were switching their phones off until 11am to try and clear their backlog - but didn't bother leaving an automated message to explain that, they literally just switched the phones off and left people guessing.

After 10 days of this I asked the guy I spoke to if he could flag my check as important, as it was less than 2 weeks until my move in date and I didn't even know if I had the place yet. He told me that my case wasn't urgent enough, and that they were dealing with people whose move in date was 1-2 days away.

All in all it seemed that they had taken on FAR more work than they had the capacity to handle and that consumers were suffering as a result. Huge delays, poor communication externally, poor communication internally, staff giving completely opposite instructions - this was a really poor experience from start to finish.

Unprofessional, shady practices, and unlawful withholding of holding deposits.

One of the worst referencing experiences possible. Let Alliance stalled my process for 15 days with zero clear communication or justification. To top it all off, the exact day I contacted them to remind them that the legal deadline for my holding deposit had expired, they suddenly and maliciously claimed my documentation was "false and misleading." What a convenient "coincidence." They couldn't detect any issues for two weeks, but the moment the legal timer runs out, they pull out false accusations to help justify unlawfully keeping money that doesn't belong to them. Completely unethical, unprofessional, and operating right on the edge of legal compliance. Stay far away from them.

I had a great experience with Sophia Hale this week who helped me set up my home insurance for a new rental property. Sophia contacted me after an online enquiry and kept in touch (without being pushy!) until I was ready to go ahead with the insurance. She made sure everything I needed was covered and made the whole process very easy. Let Alliance provided a reasonable price for the cover I needed including tenants’ liability & pet damage cover. Very good customer service.

Absolutely shit of a company
They finally answer a call and don’t say anything hear everyone else shouting in the background then they just hang up the phone.
Filled out the forms in the portal they message on WhatsApp we’ve received documents if we need anything else will be in touch don’t hear nothing so call them again for an update then they want something else.

Adrian provided excellent service yesterday. He was genuine, kind and patient with me whilst I made my decision on insurance cover, and it was no bother to him to explain which plan covers what for another time. There was zero pressure to make an important decision and for that I am grateful. Thank you

Unable to login into my account and the support is worse than useless, it just keeps redirecting me to different AI bots and support managers. All this is for a very simple thing, I just need to upload two pdfs, I don’t understand why I need to get involved with this thing at all, why can’t I just send the documents to the property agent. A total waste of my time.
