Wow, what a amazing company I experienced last week when choosing a car. My salesman was Nick Hartley, who was excellent helping me select/test drive my new car I purchased. Not only was their choice of cars first class, especially mine, their finance was amazing too, to suit my needs. I needed a extra year to help with the finance, so Nick took control of this and sorted out the best deal and time frame on my finance Thank you. Also added a free AA for a year which was a extra bonus. A pleasure to deal with for start to finish.

Very efficient service from Leeds Motor company. The car is exactly what I wanted, friendly salesman with no issues and it even came with over a quarter tank of fuel. Result! Thanks !

I have purchased two cars from this company in 4 years and had no problems, cars never broke down and are very reliable, the whole process is quick and easy compared to the bigger car companies in leeds, we had one minor fault with the second car (this didn't effect the cars driving) and it was fixed no problem,very happy customer.

Avoid this company. Read the reviews carefully before buying a car from them. If you lucky enough and got no problem they are good and nice. If any problems they call you a lier thieves and make you feel like s**t. Avoid this company at all cost. 👁

I have just recently bought a car from Leeds Motor Company. Tony was amazing and so helpful. I found buying a car really stressful and he was really understanding and patient with me. No other car sales man would’ve gone to the lengths like Tony did for me.

One is always hesitant to give reviews, especially positive ones for fear that the used car one bought may turn out to be problematic.

I can report that as of today 8/10/21 all seems well with the car. That's around a week since buying the car in Leeds (we live in Shropshire).

I found the salesman, Tony, very polite, hospitable, helpful and down-to-earth.

I liked his honesty that he knew little about the car (SsangYong Rexton).

Buying from Leeds Motors Company Ltd was or is (so far) a pleasant experience and one wonders why there are so many negative reviews?

I bought a BMW 1 series from here at the beginning of august.

The customer service was okay, but not the best. I called up before viewing this car to ask about the condition of the car in general, specifically the alloys as I was making a 2 and a half hour trip to view the car and didn't want to waste my time if it was in bad condition. I was assured that the car was in perfect condition and that there was not a chance I'd turn up and not want to buy the car.

I was asked to leave a holding deposit to ensure that nobody could buy the vehicle before I had the chance to go and look at it. I was assured that this would either be taken off the price of the car or refunded back to me. However when I questioned this at the car garage, they said this was in fact and admin fee and I wouldn't be getting it back. Very cheeky and very rude as this was not explained to me when I paid the deposit, quite the opposite. If you're going to ask people to leave a holding fee, please don't lie to them and explain that they won't be getting it back. Don't just throw it on them when they're no longer in a position to dispute it, it's very manipulative and poor customer service.

On arrival the condition was good, but not as perfect as described. The alloys were in a very poor condition and a couple of the tyres looked worse for wear/bold. I disputed this with the sales man and he knocked £90 (fair enough) of the price for the alloys but assured me the tyres were all fine. I did proceed to buying the car and have since had the alloys refurbed so this is no longer and issue.

Another issue I had is that when I was driving home, the car started shaking at any speed over 70mph. This was not apparent on the test drive as I had to test drive with no fuel (literally 4 miles till empty) so there was no opportunity to really test the car out properly. So please bear this in mind if you do go to test drive a car from this dealership. I traded my car in with over quarter of a tank and bought mine with a completely empty tank.

Anyway, I got my car checked out locally for the shaking issue as my thoughts were it was a wheel balancing and alignment issue.... which is was. Upon inspection it was also pointed out that 2 of the tyres were over 13 years old (which would explain the reason they looked a bit worse for wear when I viewed the car), this is bad considering the car itself is only 2016 reg (5 years old). I called Leeds Motor Company to explain my issue and the first response I got was 'Well you shouldn't be driving 80mph anyway) fair enough, no I shouldn't but the issue is still relevant. I also explain that the tyres were 6/7 years older than the car and he replied 'it's irrelevant how older they are, they passed an MOT' which I guess it down to personal preference but I certainly wasn't comfortable with that so I have since changed them. They did however offer to send me £30 towards the wheel balancing bill, which cost me £90 in total which is better than nothing. Just frustrating as if I could have test drove properly I probably would have noticed this before purchasing the car.

I've since noticed that the car didn't come with a parcel shelf, so please check these little things also.

Finally, I part exchanged my old car and it took two weeks for Leeds Motor Company to settle my finance agreement as promised. Which is a bit cheeky as they had it up for sale, yet I wasn't allowed to leave the dealership with my new vehicle until all funds had been cleared.

So all in all, not the best experience. I wouldn't use again but would suggest if you do use this company be aware that you won't receive that 'refundable holding deposit back' and to check everything over properly and give the cars a proper test drive and not just a quick drive down a 20mph road on an empty tank

I was on the phone to one of the dealers at Leeds Motor Company talking about seeing a car. I explained after he rambled on that I wouldn’t be committing to any car as my dad would need to see it and I was looking at other cars like any person would. but I would happily come and have a look. As soon as he heard that he said only come when you are committed to buying and very quickly said goodbye and ended the call. Not a very inviting company. Clearly heard I was young knowing that I don’t know to much about cars and saw this as an opportunity to try and make me buy something without knowing what I’ve just bought.

I live in Derby, so had to travel to Leeds to view the car a VW Polo. A distance of about 74 miles. The car was exactly as described, and the Sales staff were great, not pushy at all, and very friendly. To cut a long story short when I got home and the car broke down, so as you can imagine I was furious. It would not start.
I also notice that the electric mirrors switch was not working, and broken.
I phoned Leeds motor company up, and they assured me that it was ok and they will sort everything out for me, and not to worry. (not Easy)
Well, within a couple of hours my local garage came out to have a look and take the car away to find the fault. All arranged by Leeds Motor Company. I Had the car returned to me within the hour all fixed. It turned out only to be a fuse, but this prevented the car from starting. The local garage is also fixing the mirror switch, also arranged by Leeds motor company
The Customer service I received from Chris was fantastic, and I cannot thank him enough. Nothing was too much trouble. I imagine that I wasn't the easiest of customers to deal with as I was angry that the car had broken down within 24 hours.
I also spoke to the garage that repaired my car and they commented that its condition was excellent for its year and there were no other faults that showed up on the diagnostics. It was just one of those things (Fuse) it could happen to any car.
In my opinion, I don't think I could have asked for a better service from a garage which is 74 miles away.

I have used Leeds motor company commercial Rd, for the first time to part exchange and purchase my new car , it was a amazing experience dealing with this company and particularly the sales man James he was excellent at delivering on his promise . I will be recommending more clients to this company. Thank you

Having bought a number of cars from Leeds motor company, Kevin specifically dealt with the purchase of my new car recently.
Having to arrange finance agreements, Kevin took the lead with this as I was unsure and made this experience completely hassle free and an easy change over.
Having issues with documents due to postage and weather conditions, Kevin had nothing but patience and politeness through what is a trying time for this kind of business currently.
Kevin helped to ensure my private Reg was transferred completely and kept me in the loop throughout the entirety of the changing of the cars.
Highly recommended and a pleasure to work with.

I was interested to purchase a E-Class Mercedes for £12,000 and spoke to James. He was constantly calling to say that others are interested in buying that car so I had to make a decision quick. I said to him that if it is not meant to be mine then it is not. I explained that I had to apply for a loan for the remaining balance after the part-exchange and until I hear from the Bank I could not make another step. He then rang on the following day saying that I should book an appointment and pay a booking fee which according to him is now a legal requirement. Well booking an appointment is in fact under Covid 19 regulations but paying for it got nothing to do with legal requirements. In other words he was trying to do a hard sale which is totally illegal and by providing my card details he could have kept my deposit with justification that I have entered an agreement. As soon as I said to him that I wasn't going to pay any deposit he changed his tone completely and said thanks for wasting my time and hanged up instantly. Clearly not something you would expect from a serious sales agent. He texted me back stating that it is a legal requirement to pay for booking an appointment otherwise the company risks a £10'000 fine. That is a total lie. I do have his message correspondence saved in my phone if anyone needs prove.

The £99 deposit became an admin fee and was not knocked off the price. Not all documents supplied. Had to take 3 trips to the post office to tax it and send off for documents as the garage hadn't been signed over the car to sell by the previous owner.

Nick made the whole experience of buying a Ford Focus easy and stress-free from the initial test drive through to sale. The price was competitive and he also went the extra mile, with a great deal on servicing, and also dealing with a small scratch on the car that I should have spotted before purchase but didn't. Will be back next time we're looking to buy a car!
