Purchased 2 tyres Kumho tyres for my wife's car through mot garage 2.5 years ago ,at last mot 2 years was advised the tread was starting to crack ,noticed this week this is much worse to the point there is rust showing on tyre between tread pattern ,where metal cords are rusting with potential of a blow out, disgusted with the length of time they have lasted 2.5 years and under 10000 miles and can not get on a website to complain. Garage /mot station said have had other complaints .Not a good option .

I am extremely disappointed with Kumho tires after a dangerous and unacceptable experience.

The sidewall of a Kumho tire exploded while I was driving at highway speed (~130 km/h) on a brand-new Audi vehicle with less than 5,000 km on the odometer. Thankfully, I avoided an accident, but I was forced to drive for over six hours at 80 km/h on a temporary spare — putting my safety and others' at risk.

Both the CAA technician and the Audi dealership mechanic confirmed there was no puncture or road damage. The failure was clearly a manufacturing defect in the tire's sidewall. To make matters worse, the tire has still not been replaced over a week later while Kumho “investigates.”

This is unacceptable. A tire should not catastrophically fail on a brand-new car after such limited use — and no customer should have to wait for weeks while the manufacturer decides how to respond.

I will never trust Kumho tires again. If you value your safety and peace of mind, I strongly recommend choosing a different tire brand.

I bought a set of tires in June 2024 from Walmart, from day one I had vibration issues with the tires. Took them back, Walmart will balance them and it would be ok for a week. The vibration will come back and repeated the process. Took it to a different shop that showed me how one of the tires had a bulge. Got it replaced under the road hazard insurance. Then Walmart re-balance and the vibration got worse. Sent emails and called Kumho support but no answer. Close to two months later and no response from Kuhmo. Not a word! I replaced the tires with another brand and no more vibration. I will not buy or recommend this brand ever again.

In my opinion Kumho tires are not a good option, they are not cheap and not very good either. Mines started coming apart at 24.000 miles in a brand new Audi Q5. Submitted a claim with the dealer and Kumho and both of them bailed out. I laugh when calling Kumho and hear that they have excellent customer service.

In my opinion, you better go for a cheap set and save some money or spend a little more and get good quality ones.

Kumho tire/tyre failure. We have a 2022 Kia EV6 38000km LR rear wheel drive fitted with factory 235/55 R19 Kumho Ecsta PS71 EV OE 105V tires/tyres.

Recent experience with left front heavy vibration (read “I think a wheel is loose!”) meant the vehicle was trucked back to the Kia dealer after the AA deemed it unsafe.

Dealer could find nothing wrong claiming it was because “wheel balance weights had moved” ignoring the fact there was no observation of issues the morning after the event. So the weights moved perfectly back? YEAH RIGHT!

Kia dealer rebalanced wheels and advised to provide further experience issues if they arise.

Another trip 3 weeks later and again major issues with vibration but not as bad as before.

Tires checked at a tire outlet and the technician discovered the foam sound deadening material had detached from the left front tire wall and was largely clumped into one part of the tire, hence unbalanced.

We had already realised the issue occurred both times after traveling at a legal higher speed area (110km/hr) and resolved by leaving overnight where the tires had cooled.

The foam had detached from the tire wall on the left front, was partially detached on the right front tire and both rear wheels were loose where the foam fabric could be lifted in areas from the tire bed.
Replaced all tires with Continental e-contact tires. Quieter, better road handling, smoother ride. BEWARE!

The web experience is horrible. The website's layout and performance are awful.
