I bought keen shoes from Amazon and the soles delaminated within 1 month. When I went for warranty I was denied full replacement because I purchased the shoes from amazon and not Keen directly. I asked for the proper warranty replacement like I had been offered in the past and was told that wouldn't be possible. DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM KEEN. THEIR WARRANTY IS NOT HONORED. BAD QUALITY AND WORSE SERVICE.

Junk boots! Stitching came apart which I repaired with great difficulty. After not using the boots for a year I noticed the rubber sole tread come away. I have been using Salomon for nearly 2 years now they are a thousand times better than the rubbish Keen’s. AVOID

Bought Keen Hiking Sandals, believing I would get some good quality shoes. After not even a year, only wearing them occasionally, the lining came off at the heel. But that apparently is my problem. Keen not at all keen to investigate, repair or replace.

I bought a pair of work boots and within the first week the had torn a section of the steel toe section. They had told me that is normal wear and tear. So from my understanding is they sell garbage and expect your products to have issues without any means of getting some sorta compensation or refund. I don't recommend this brand. Not worth the money or headache you will get from dealing with them.

Miserable Qualität,die Oberfläche löst sich ab,beim letzten kauf löste sich die Naht nach 2 Monaten an der Kappe vorn ,auf die Reklamation bekam ich die Antwort,das muss ich beim Verkäufer reklamieren.Nach ca 20 Jahren mit viele paaren Keen mid targee .Meine Meinung ist ,das der Hersteller für seine Qualität gerade stehen sollte und nicht der Verkäufer

I wrote Keen about some shoes that had not been worn much, but the leather (or whatever material is on the sides of the shoes) had cracked about 4 - 5 inches, which had not happened on my many previous pairs of Keen shoes. I took photos and attached them to an email explaining everything. I said I knew the 30 day warranty period was long gone, but wanted to let them know that perhaps the leather used in these shoes was inferior.

I got back a totally inadequate reply, which was just a lengthy boilerplate instructions about how to ask for a refund or exchange. No acknowledgement that I believed I had a defective shoe and had sent pictures to illustrate this fact.

So, I must conclude that Keen doesn't have a fully functional customer service division that offers a personal reply to customer complaints.

Ever since Keen have been manufacturing in India the quality of production has dropped severely, I was a kean Keen Fan for many years, I believe the first pair i bought around 16 years ago( Keen Wanderer) fantastisch durable hiking shoe, the second pair Targhee i was also very good, The first pair of Targhee II, super.
Targhee III, okay but no comparison with the first pair of Targhee II. A pair of uneek sandals, great for the summer.
And then a second pair of Targhee II.
After 3 months the rubber toe cover ,loose, the soles sqeaking,the two layer sole separating, the rubber soles loose,falling apart.
I was in a hiking shop today and asked if they have Keen shoes, the answer? We do not stock them anymore as we have to many claims with them.
Sooo, i will definately not be purchasing any more Keens,
Such a pity that they have gone do far down hill that they have fallen off the cliff.

Sadly for such an expensive boot, the quality is shockingly bad. I would have expected them to last more than two years. I’m old, only walk a dog and only used the boots in winter on easy terrain. I have had much much cheaper boots that I had worn in my younger years that had outlasted my expensive Keen boots by ten years. Comfortable they are but not worth the price

I really like all the keen shoes and boots I have purchased. I did have a pair of the hiking shoes fail but they gave me a 120 dollar credit towards another pair of shoes. Not sure if some of the negative reviews stem from buyers purchasing the shoes from non authorized shops or not.

Shoes really comfy but six months old and some falls off not fit for purpose. Pity you can't add pictures to warn people of poor quality.

I've been a loyal customer of Keen for many years. I have stuck with one particular shoe(Targhee 3 in grey/blue) that I really liked and have ordered probably a dozen pairs. They discontinued that color of shoe this year and i decided to go with what comparisons said was a similar shoe (Voyagur in grey/blue). It isn't the heel on these is much higher and positions my foot in a way that hurts my knees and toe because me feet slide forward. I contacted Keen to see if i could make an exchange for a current color combination in the Targhee 3's but they were unwilling to work with me. Now I'm apparently just out the $150. Kind of puts me off of a brand I have really liked for a long time.

Probably the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever worn! My first pair were pretty good, 2 more pairs sucked and I have an insulated pair I figured I would give a try, they’re worse than the others. they will be going in the garbage. I’m never buying another pair again

I’ve owned multiple pairs of Keens over the past 15 years and loved them, until now.

I ordered my usual size 7.5, but they arrived a FULL size too small with visible suede defects. I contacted customer service with photos, hoping for a reasonable resolution.

Their response? “Sizes vary between manufacturers” (despite being the exact same model) and outright denial of any defects, even with photo evidence. I had to repeat myself multiple times as they ignored key issues.

The shoes are sold out, so I requested a partial refund for the sizing error and defects. I was flatly refused.

After years of loyalty, I expected basic accountability when quality control failed. Instead, I got corporate deflection and zero willingness to make things right beyond a basic return.

I cannot recommend Keen to anyone based on this experience.

I felt lucky to order the last pair of leather sneakers in my size. The shoes were received by me in an acceptable time. Unfortunately, the shoes appear to be a return item to Keen, who inturn,sold to me. The shoes did not come with cardboard supports, they were laced incorrectly, the tread were slightly worn, and when I tried them in I could immediately tell that the cushioning had already been pressed down. I reviewed on the Keen website. Keen failed to post my 2 star review. No more Keens for me.

I asked for a pair of hiking boots for flat feet. I've had several pair, but couldn't see what type they were. I thought they were MT Carmel or something like that, but the Keene rep said they were Pyrenees. All of my boots were a darker brown color and the picture showed the same. I got a light brown color. So I guess thats fine. Im still determine if they are for flat feet. They seem more narrow than before which causes some discomfort, but im waiting for it to workitaelf out this week. ow here is where I'm throwing the curve ball for you readers. What is up with the shoe laces? They used to give you pleanty of length, but now you can barely tie a bow at the top. Lord help you if you are hiking and have to use only a portion of shoe lace which is what they gave you in the first place. So Keene, stop skimping on the small things. I would rather ypu give give one set of long shoe laces instead of the two.sets of shot ones. Thank you for reading.

The Keen Versacore Speed tennis shoes came with too short of shoestrings and the tongue will not stay in place. Keeps moving far to the side where you can see your socks. I have tried lacing them all different ways and can't seem to correct the issue. Drives me crazy! Appears the tongue is too narrow?? Save a few pennies on materials??? My first and last pair of Keens. Bought them a few months back but are hardly worn but I'm still upset enough to share this review. Buyer beware!!

The boots suffered a catastrophic material failure on nothe shoes specifically within minutes of stepping of a train. The soles did not simply delaminate; the polyurethane structure completely disintegrated. I have confirmed this was not caused by chemical exposure, as the crumbling material caused no skin irritation upon contact.

I've had 7 pair of Keen shoes, sandals and boots. The work boots were underwhelming as they simply couldn't hold up to hard railroad labor. My guess is that it was just that the women's work boots were produced to less hearty standards than the men's. Today I saw an ad for their USA made boots. But when i went to shop for a pair I discovered that the only made men's styles in the USA. Nothing USA made for women. I won't be back. This is a terrible business practice.
