Kapwing Arvostelua 

Not worth the effort. Kapwing tries to lure you in and once you have put some effort in your project, overcharge for it to get your own stuff (at least USD 18 per month for one year). The idea bewind the Kapwing was not bad (online editing), but it is certainly not worth the price.

90% of the tools need a pretty expensive paid subscription... so it's totally useless unless you want to pay.
Just a waste of time!

I was an original user that beta tested for them when they were playing with the pay formula. They even contacted me once asking how much I felt they should charged, and then slowly started stripping away all of the free features from beta/free users that helped with the site. Loyalty doesn't exist in this world...

Anyway, simple UX that can be learned in minutes to an otherwise extremely limited video editor that serves quick editing purposes on the go... or used to be! Regardless, Kapwing is not something I would ever consider replacing my Adobe program suite with or anything. I actually used to recommend it on my channel, but now that there is all these limitations, I will never recommended again. Unlike Kapwing, you can still stuff for free on Adobe's starter plans that are free.

The straw that broke the camel's back was logging into the site this morning because I needed a quick edit for a meeting. Anyway, while pressed for time, I find out that now I cannot even paste links to my YouTube videos, or use any of the enhancement features so no point. Deleted my account and PASS!

sketchy schemes .. they would force you first to sign up, then they wont allow you to use the service unless you subscribe for monthly/yearly payments, They do not explain that before hand.
Also they use weird URLs to redirect you when you sign up using Google account for example, meaning they are collecting a lot of your information.

This was terrible. You can't even paste a link without paying almost $20 a month, also, one time I was working on a project that took me days to make, and it literally deleted everything. If you want to spend a million dollars on this website to make one video, go ahead!

predatorial subscription company that doesn't email any invoices or subscription renewals reminders. It will try to charge your credit card until your death. To anyone who reads this, I guarantee you that you will find yourself having to cancel your credit card because of these thieves. Kapwing is a horrible company, stay away from it, there's so many better alternatives to this predatorial subscription company. 0 stars if possible

The Auto subtitles option is not good, it makes a lot of mistakes, it's a disaster

They are just too greedy. Last year or so you could make videos up to 7 minutes. Then they reduced to 4. And to get more, you needed premium. 24$ per month. The audio upload option from youtube was free, now they made it premium. Why do i need to pay to upload a audio from youtube and not pay to upload a audio directly from my computer? Also, the big watermark that always stays in the video is annoying. They also have a limit of how much time a video can be in your workspace before it gets deleted, and it is 3 days, and to not make that happen, you need premium. The editor is great for making videos, but the company just wants money.

Considero que esta aplicación es muy cara, yo pague hace tiempo el de 24 dolares y la verdad que nefasto, estas muy limitado en esta plataforma si quieres hacer algo y no hablemos del precio, ABSURDO

I signed up for Kapwing expecting a straightforward experience, but instead, I was wrongly charged £191 for the Pro suite across two accounts between October 2024 and March 2025. Both accounts remained on the Free Plan throughout this period, which I proved with clear evidence. Yet, despite numerous emails and back-and-forth, I was only refunded $23.

Their final response was the last straw:
'The payments for ######@gmail.com fall outside this window. Additionally, since the charges were correctly applied to an active Pro plan under that workspace, they are not eligible for reimbursement.
Also, ######@gmail.com remained on a Free plan despite payments…'

The platform is plagued with glitches, fails to work properly with VPNs, and offers little value. To make matters worse, customer support, under Amalia's leadership, consistently ignored valid concerns and refused to take responsibility for the billing errors.

Avoid at all costs!

If i could give this company less than one star I would. No phone number, no email address, just a on-line email form. When I did find a 'customer service' phone number it turned out to be a crappy Google AI assistant that didn't take any info just said 'I've shared our conversation with the party.' and hung up. Fun fact-- we didn't have a conversation. I got in contact when I got informed that my account had been charged (without even using the app) but they are totally unresponsive. STAY AWAY from their crappy customer service.

I used Kapwing for a couple of years and found it very glitchy on browsers other than Chrome. Even on Chrome, it takes forever to export.

One day, I waited 24 hours, tried exporting a 55-minute video. I contacted their customer lack-of-support, which responds usually 24 hours later, asking for the link to the video. 24 hours later, still nothing. I wrote again and they said they had a bug and didn't have a fix for it, nor an ETA.

One WEEK later I asked again, and they responded with a question: "Are you still having trouble exporting?" I'm thinking, are you kidding me right now? The following day they told me they expected a fix the next week.

The following week when the bug wasn't fixed, I asked to cancel my subscription, which I'd recently purchased, and asked for a refund. They said they do not offer refunds.

So, that's what you can expect from Kapwing.

I like the interface and found it user friendly. However the fact that it is browser based has given me a lot of headaches. Uploads not working or taking forever. As your videos get more complex, the program can't download them and you need to break them up into chunks. Many times my videos dont download unless I chunk them down into 2 minute increments. For 10-15 minute videos this gets very annoying and time consuming. I'm sad to say I just can't continue using this program, yet I still have many months left in my subscription. But like so many other companies out there, once they get your money, you'll never see it again, even if the product stops working for you. And sure enough, Kapwing will not refund me my remaining subscription months. I'm tired of this. I'm tired of giving away my hard earned money. Because that's essentially what I'm doing. I paid for a video editing program to make my YT videos. But when it takes me 5 times longer to make a video with that program than it does on something like ClipChamp, the product is not what I paid for. Too bad for me though, the money has vanished and can never return.

Utter rubbish - complex, fails to upload images, adds watermark - avoid, plenty of others on the internet that much better

Complete garbage. It just deletes your work if you don't log in for 3 days. Who designs something like that?

The task done is amazing.

Bad service, video exporting cannot read even by vlc. They delete my own video after end of period of payment. We should have right to keep it. Please keep away from these thugs
