I am an Associate Professor from Ukraine, working in a war zone. I paid for the Plus Tier to prepare educational materials, but InVideo failed me completely. The system glitched, wasted all my credits on errors, and now refuses to let me download even the fragments it generated. I have zero video and zero money. This is an absolute disgrace and a scam. I demand an immediate refund!

I am extremely disappointed with Invideo’s predatory billing and refund policy.

My subscription was auto-renewed without any prior notification. As soon as I realized the charge, I immediately cancelled it. However, I discovered their UI is designed to be deceptive—it processes the cancellation for the next year while keeping the current payment, with no option for an immediate refund request.

The support team (Patrick) acknowledged that I have NOT used the service at all (Zero usage) since the renewal. Despite this, they are refusing a refund based on their "7-day policy" and a ridiculous claim about "AI compute resources" being allocated—even though no videos were ever generated.

Charging a customer for a service they haven't used and didn't intend to renew is an unfair trade practice. I have already initiated a chargeback dispute with my credit card company and will not recommend this service to anyone.

Beware of their dark patterns and hidden renewal traps!

The Egyptian Arabic support is completely non-functional — the output sounds robotic, unnatural, and unusable for real Arabic content. When I requested a refund, they hid behind their usage policy even though the core feature I paid for simply does not work. Using a broken feature to test it is not the same as using a working product. Their support team has no escalation path and no real solutions. Save your money if you need genuine Arabic content creation — this is not the tool for you

I subscribed to InVideo for a school project expecting an easy-to-use AI video generator. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing.

The platform is much harder to use than advertised. The editing process is confusing, and the generated videos were low quality and often didn’t match what I asked for. It took very little time to realize that this tool was not usable for my project.

Here’s the main issue:

I only tested the platform briefly and:

Did not download or use any final videos
Cancelled my subscription immediately after realizing it wasn’t suitable
Only generated content as part of testing the tool

Despite this, my refund request was denied because a video was “generated.” This means you cannot realistically evaluate the product without losing your right to a refund.

That’s a major red flag for anyone considering subscribing.

If you’re a student or need something reliable, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. I had a much better experience with Google Vids — it’s more intuitive, the output quality is significantly better, and it’s more reasonably priced.

Overall, I would not recommend this platform unless you’re willing to take the risk of paying for something you may not be able to use — with no refund.

To characterize 22 credits—a tiny fraction of an annual plan—as "substantial" is a deliberate misrepresentation of data to circumvent consumer protection laws. Furthermore, citing "GPU costs" as an excuse for a defective product is irrelevant; backend infrastructure costs are a business risk, not a liability for a customer sold a non-functional service.

This is a clear case of "Service Not as Described" and "Unjust Enrichment." I have already initiated a formal chargeback with my bank and will provide this exchange to regulatory authorities as evidence of predatory business practices.

Potential users: Do not be misled by their marketing. Their platform is broken, and their refund policy is a trap.

SCAM. Do NOT buy. Their AI completely ignores your instructions — I asked for exterior footage, got interior rooms. Asked for video, got static images. Asked for wildfire scenes, got car washing. Wasted all credits on garbage output. Then they REFUSED my refund even though I was within their "7-day refund policy." Their cancellation button is BROKEN — gives an error. Three different support agents gave me the runaround for hours. They keep offering useless credits instead of a refund. Had to file a bank chargeback to get my money back. Save your $25 and use HeyGen instead — it actually works.

Invideo.io is not worth the money. Once you pay, they do not care if you are happy with the service or not.

The video quality is very low compared to the high price.

The most glaring problem is making changes to your video. I have started using AFFliks.com
recently and I have experienced no glitches so far. The prompts are followed exactly as needed. InVideo does not follow your prompts right away, so many adjustments are needed. You try to edit the video and that's when the problems start and that's when it gets extremely expensive. Sometimes the edit completed is the complete opposite of what was prompted. Not too often but it happened a few times to me. Edits require a usage of credits and these credits get chewed up unbelievably quickly.

I recently subscribed to the InVideo AI Plus plan ($25) expecting the professional-grade results they advertise. Instead, the output was incredibly poor and completely unusable for my niche (Historical Human Biology).

When I requested a refund within 24 hours (well within their 7-day window), their support agents (Tushar/Rex) repeatedly refused, using a lame excuse about "upfront compute costs." This is a total trap: you have to use a few credits to see if the quality is actually good, but as soon as you do, they claim you aren't eligible for a refund.

Their marketing is misleading, and their customer service is robotic, hiding behind templated "no-refund" policies rather than standing by their product quality. It’s a classic bait-and-switch.

I have already stopped using the service and will be initiating a formal bank chargeback for "Services Not as Described." If you value your money and need actual quality AI video, stay far away from InVideo. They care more about stealing $25 than they do about customer satisfaction.

I paid for an entry level subscription of $45 per month to make AI video. The credits used suddenly went from about 15 to 300 for a video about three minutes. I tried to upgrade my package to a higher level and pay for ONE MONTH, but was charged for ONE YEAR at $720. Three hours later I contacted the company to ask for a refund and was told I WOULD NOT RECEIVE A REFUND. This company is a FRAUDULENT SCAM.

Ich habe einen ganzen Tag versucht meinen Prompt zu einem Video zu generieren. Das dumme Programm hat ca. 10 Mal jeweils eine halbe Stunde gerendert um dann abzubrechen. Ich hatte es wirklich mit allen verschiedenen Prompts und neuen Anfängen versucht. Jedes Mal das selbe. Der ganze Tag war mit Versuchen verschwendet. Und am Abend musste ich dann auf ein anderes Tool umsteigen, um endlich an meinem Video voran zu kommen. Ich habe das dem Support geschrieben dass ich mein Geld zurück haben möchte. Ich habe schließlich eine Mitgliedschaft und ZusatzCredits gekauft für insgesamt ca. 100 € um das Video generieren zu können. Die haben mir zwar zig Mal zurück geschrieben, sind aber auf meine Antworten überhaupt nicht eingegange. Die haben mir nur geschrieben, dass ich es so oder so oder so noch einmal versuchen soll. Obwohl das Video mittlerweile längst fix und fertig ist und auf Youtube läuft. Ich bin wirklich sauer. Dass hab ich ihnen 5 Mal geschrieben, dass ich kein Video jetzt mehr benötige. Die haben nun mein Ticket geschlossen. Also FAZIT: Funktioniert nicht und es gibt kein Geld zurück!
