Kampa Arvostelua 

I have a Kampa Air awning with mould over roof after 1 month use unable to get it cleaned unable to get Glossop Caravans to help and Kampa not interested this is £1400 wasted. Please is there anyone else experiencing this service and poor product. This need resolving I note there are a number of people experiencing the same level of poor service and product. Help!!!
This is the new 2018 model supposed to be breathable fabric?
I have already been asked some questions 1 in particular do I use the Kampa roof liner?
I do yes the whole time the awning was up, I'm now learning this could be the problem a design fault between the roof lining and awing?
This is beyond me all I know is I've got mould on the awning roof.
Glossop Caravans/awnings no help or customer service.

We purchased a Kampa Ace All Season Air Awning 400 total cost in excess of £1700 erected it on the 1st May 2018 to September 2018, 5 months. We had the Kampa roof lining as well upon taking this down we noted considerable Mould all over the Awning roof however NONE on the annex roof where no roof lining was!
We complained to Kampa who referred us to the seller S K Camping who informed us it was our responsibility to clean the awning as it hadn't been ventilated I spent the majority of the 5 months at the caravan and had ventilated the awning on a daily basis.
I have been informed this has been caused by a design fault caused by the void between the roof lining and the roof which is not allowing the ventilation and creating a perfect breading ground for mould!
No other awning on our seasonal site has mould only ours and only in the main awning where the lining is the annex is perfect.
I am desperate to learn if anyone else has had similar problems or if they have any advice I have taken this up with the trading standards and CAB who want to pursue this case.
I would be very interested to know your thoughts and any advice.

Bought a Kampa rally air pro in May 2018 from Winfield's Outdoors Chester branch.
Erected on and off over the summer period from June to the beginning of September in the UK. The material has not only faded but deteriated considerably tearing like paper.
Apparently according to Kampa it had been In strong sunlight for too long a time, bear in mind Kampa's Weathershield Pro fabric an iconic fabric with Improvements to the UV protection.
All be it we had a hot summer, at a cost of £669.99 is this product really fit for purpose.
No mention was made to ourselves on purchase of the awning
from the retailer that periods in the sunlight would create these problems, according to Kampa apparently one should use a site as shaded as possible in strong sunlight.
Whatever you do, do not go caravanning when the sunshines with a Kampa awning.( from other reviews I'd stay out of the rain as well).
Response from the retailer and manufacture has been abysmal.

The plastic feet on the Kampa steps had failed. Contacted Kampa who without reservation offered to send replacement feet.

Kampa awnings are good, however the after sales is really terrible. One of the things with an air awning is that you need to have a reliable after sales service when the inevitable happens (albeit rarely). Having set up the awning on the first day of my holiday I found one of the air struts to have developed a leak. Contacted Kampa and spoke with after-sales. They do not appear to have any facility (even on payment) to send a new strut next day delivery. 5 days later still waiting. Kampa not in the least interested, blaming the delivery company. Really bad experience. Still not received at the end of the holiday (1 week). Finally gave up as Kampa told me that I would have to be at home all day for the delivery and having been off for a week that was never going to happen. Steer clear of Kampa, not because the quality of the awning is bad, quite the reverse. When the inevitable happens and you have an air leak Kampa are totally disinterested leaving you with a useless awning.

We bought a Kampa awning. We loved it BUT in the heat of the 2018 summer one of the bladders exploded, ripping through the tube. We contacted Kampa to complain about the quality of the awning and were referred to their after sales department who would deal with the problem. The after sales sent a new bladder which we fitted. On inflation this also burst because of the damage caused by initial explosion. This all occurred whilst under guarantee. Kampa after sales are now refusing to deal with us.

Having purchased three sets of kampa pro windbreakers over three years ago I am very pleased with the product. I had a small problem though and contacted kampa to report the problem to them and they had no hesitation in replacing them for new ones. Going on there response to the issue and how swiftly they resolved the problem, I would definitely recommend to anyone to buy their products. Well done kampa for your excellent customer service.

My parents bought the Kampa Ace Air awning and it’s awful! Spent so much money on it and it leaks! Had it sent away for testing and they said there’s nothing wrong with it! Ridiculous! They said the huge amount of water inside the awning after a night of rain was condensation!
Customer service has not been helpful at all! Would not recommend! It’s a lot of money to spend to then be ripped off and left with an awning that is useless. They’ve had a caravan all their lives and have never had this problem. Very disappointed.

Had a problem with my Air awning, contacted customer service, they couldn’t have been more helpful, problem resolved. First class service. This is our 4th Kampa awning and would have no hesitation purchasing another.

Purchased a kampa pro air ace awning in Dec 2017. after the second time of putting it up notice a couple of cuts in the roof sent it off to kampa as it came with a supposedly 12month warranty when receiving it back was told it was caused by me the user because the cuts are on the outside and it had mud on it. After inspecting it myself found a cut on one of the bladder tube holders found this was caused by a sharpe plastic Collier which sits around the inflation tubes this same cut fall's inline with the first cuts that was originally reported to kampa. I have been in contact with there customer service again sent loads of photos that clearly show what I think has caused the problem was told we have had it for six months I explained but it had a 12month warranty on it they then told me to send it back again because this is a different matter three weeks later received it back again with an inspection note saying they could not find a problem with it. If I knew when i purchased this awning I would have this problem I would have brought a Isabella awning.

We purchased a Kampa Revo Zip and the poles snapped on the first use, Kampa are now stating that we ecrected this in the wrong weather, which we didn't and refuse to refund or replace!!

Disgraceful service!! I would never buy another Kampa product again!

Bought my awning at the trade show and I'm so glad I did. It's really well made and worth the money. I had to call them to ask some advice and they couldn't have been more helpful. I'd definitely recommend them over some of the cheaper brands.

I experienced Neil from their After sales team today.

Simple questions regarding one of their lights products..was met with his ego when i was just looking for a technical response.

As a customer I have found today his technical experience that he claims to have is an even match for his customer service experience…Perhaps not his fault but I get the feeling some training & development would benefit both Neil & Kampa none the less.

Kampa customer aftercare service is amazing 1 month over there warranty expired and still helped to get a new replacement awning.

After damage to our awning caused by storm Aileen we needed a couple of replacement poles, we spoke with Kampa at 12.20pm.,who told us they use a 24 hour delivery service if ordered by mid-day. The guy on the phone said he'd do his best.
Items arrived at our campsite the following morning at 8.20am.
Less than 24 hours!
Amazing first class service. Thank you Kampa.

purchased a 25 litre cool box and after getting home found out there is no mains lead only 12volt , called the shop to ask about it and they said it didn't come with it but you can buy one ... only we cannot get them !!!! looked online but couldn't find the type I need , called kampa uk ! they guy said hand on a mo ... , hello he said after a couple of mins , sorry we cannot supply you with that you must buy retail - I said I cannot get hold of it from retail - sorry he said but you must buy retail then put the phone down on me ! please don't buy from this company don't waste you hard earned cash on crap / half a job goods !

Firstly so far 3 of the inner tubes, ( Rubber HOSE part ) have failed at where the valves go on at the bottom Costing £150.00. Next the Electric Kampa Pump failed at a cost of £70.00 to replace. I rang Kampa they know there is a problem with this pump. The best part it was only used 3 times. My opinion KAMPA products are not fit for purpose. The COST BIG MONEY. Anyone reading this Your Pump WILL FAIL, again Kampa know of this problem. Also the inner tubes are failing in the same place, another problem that must affect others who have these awnings.

Reading the two negatives below,,, I totally agree KAMPA do not care at all, if out of warranty, Seems the life span of their products is about 4 trips .. Oh and yes my Motor Rally Air Pro 260L also leaks.

16th May new replaced inner tube lasted 2 days and burst. YES another £55.00 to replace for 2 days before it burst again.. I am really tired of these faulty products. Ordered today via Dorvic Caravans Northern Ireland. I really cannot vouch for KAMPA products. Lasting TWO DAYS then punctured again.

As with all sites one has to pay extra for awnings and once again I have lost out as the kampa awning is faulty and have had to take it down,,, nothing but disappointments and costs re this awning re replacement parts and booking costs re awning when booking sites.

My parents purchased a Kampa rally air pro 390 end of July 2015. Unfortunately my dad had an emergency heart surgery in Aug and they didn't get to use the awning until spring/summer 2016. They used it 3 times in wet weather 1st time it leaked but instructions say it needs to be weathered so we waited 2nd time it rained it leaked again then the 3rd time it leaked we went back to the shop who said you need to contact Kampa. Kampa won't even look at it as its out of warranty...the awning still has some of the foam packaging on its so new but they won't even look at it! This awning is not fit for purpose and must be faulty my parents are devastated they have lost £800 and this manufacturer won't even offer the courtesy of an inspection.

We purchased our first lightweight Kampa awning and found it to be incredible value for money and practical. For reasons not product related we needed to replace this and we purchased another one in August 2015.

This product had a one year warranty. It started leaking just inside the warranty and we reported to both the supplier and to Kampa. Supplier reckoned the problem was due to weathering - i.e. it needed to get rained on more to seal holes created by sewing process. We caravan often in UK weather and the awning had been used for nearly a year!! Kampa when we first phoned them said that the problem was not due to weathering and we should get it returned under warranty via supplier.

We arranged this and had received no contact and so we got back in touch with Kampa who then disagreed with their first comment and in fact at this stage were rude and unhelpful.

To date weeks on I have still received no contact for collection of the awning under warranty. This is even after a letter to their managing director. I am told by Citizens Advice that the warranty is not relevant under law and that I must stick with the supplier for a solution.

Unfortunately the supplier has just offered me some sealant to complete my own repair. He is required to offer under law a repair, a replacement or a refund.

I am now left with a choice of replacing the awning or taking the matter to court - unpalatable. Just posting this review to let people know how Kampa view their warranty and products.
