I really love LSOA they have been a part of my family for the last 4 years . I have two kids that go the school. They have such an amazing staff.

besides random glitches it is the best school my child is probably ever going to go to.

Wouldn’t recommend this school at all ! My kids have been doing online school for 2 yrs now and not once have I been able to get ahold of the school . Not an email or a call with the school just with k12 agents and they can’t help with anything that the school district can . They teach in ways that confuse children instead of just teaching them the right way then when you question the teachers they just say they can’t help. I would rather homeschool them and teach them myself rather than use this school . Never again wouldn’t recommend it !

I like the way that they help with everything your child needs. They provide everything for the child to learn.

I love the flexibility of the classes and the cirriculum. However, The communication and system changes are not good at all. Since the beginning of the school year the sudden and unannounced changes to the system caused so much confusion and lowered the morale of a lot of the learning coaches and students. We feel unheard. As a result of taking all the time to get accustomed to the systems, we lost valuable learning opportunity, which I am sure will show up in the Texas Staar test results. Then, attempting to cram the students with Staar tutoring WHILE falling behind on core curriculum was a recipe for disaster. Honestly my heart goes out to the teachers too who tries to balance it all.

What made my experience grade is that I have a child with a lot of health conditions. K12 has helped us in a way that now I can take school with us and not have to take her out of school automatically comes with us. Very convenient.

Cause I love the way teachers take time to help the kids and give the learning coach more motivation to help our kids even more to push them to work really hard with they learning and with my two kids i working with them real hard with they learning i see something in them more each day when I work with them so thats why I give 5 stars cause yall really do deserve it and yall have a wonderful day i appreciate every teachers that putting they hard work in 100 stars for Ms Anderson 100 stars to Ms ford and 100 stars to Ms joiner they are some wonderful teachers to me I want everyone to know that at that school I appreciate so much

I honestly love the luxury of my children being home and learning in their own environment with feelings safe the teachers are amazing and very patient.I enjoy watching with my kids learn

I love k12 sometimes the site can be hard to navigate or like some lessons are confusing but other than that k12 is great thanks alot .

The teachers are wonderful and they are so helpful for whatever you need they have been so good with my son this year and myself when I needed help with a lesson or something or to troubleshoot they they are superstars

My daughter has been a student since Kindergarten and is now on her way to reaching 3rd grade. We have had the best experience with the staff and teachers she has had. We love being a a part of LSOA and continue to stay as long as she is accepted. She loves the learning, the help available and the friends she has made. She has loved every teacher she has had these past years. My daughter doesn't even want to experience a brick and mortar school at this point. I as her mother AND Learning Coach am so happy I came across K12 LSOA at Roscoe. I have recommended K12 to other parents and rave about the experience and the existence of the learning program when asked. I go on about the similarities and differences of the public schooling at hand. I'm not sure if they give it a try or not, but I spread the word as much as I can. I see so much comfort and ability it opens up for my little. To be able to actuall see what my child is learning and what she struggles on or excels in gives me the opportunity to interact with her in helping or cheering her on.

I'm very happy with this school. The teachers truly care about the students and create a positive learning environment. They also provide great opportunities for both academic and personal growth.

Over the course of this school year, there have been multiple disruptions that significantly impacted our ability to maintain a consistent and effective learning environment. At the start of the year, one of my student’s classes was not loading properly, and it took several weeks to receive even partial support, without a full resolution.

After finally gaining access to the classes as instructed, the platform layout was changed again, which created additional confusion and setbacks. These repeated changes made it difficult to establish any stable routine.

Additionally, the removal of the Flex program during an active semester further disrupted our structure. Altogether, the frequent changes negatively affected both my students’ academic progress and my ability to effectively support them as their learning coach.

This was our first year in the Lone Star Academy and it has been the worse school year that my children and I have ever experienced.

Due to these ongoing challenges, I will most likely decide to discontinue enrollment moving forward.

My kids are doing better the teachers are nice and helpful and they are actually happy with Alabama Virtual Academy. I would recommend this school to anyone.
