John Clark Motor Group - Pentland Jaguar Stirling Arvostelua 

I have been waiting for almost 2 months for the V5 for a car I bought in November.
It is clear I have been lied to on numerous occasions by staff.
My patience has run out I will never buy another car from this company and would advise others to avoid also.

Top Class especially from Scott Martin in the showroom to the Lovely young lady on the Service reception who was very polite and helpful and also the vehicle technician John teasdale who was very good at explaining my service .All in all very good service .

Good staff…. It makes such a difference. Good handover, good attention to detail.

I recently bought a new Range Rover From John Clark group Land Rover Stirling. My Salesman was very knowledgeable and helpful. The whole process was made easier by his attention to detail. I have bought several cars from this salesman over the years.
He is exceptional. and a credit to the company. A rarity in my experience.

I bought a new defender from this garage and was very happy with the service I received they went the extra mile to ensure my personal touch was did correct to my satisfaction

Felt completely conned by John Clark Group, who at the very final stages when you take delivery of forcing you to sign a document which removes your rights to sell the car within a year. Land Rover themselves have confirmed that they do not do this and this is simply a practice of John Clark. They recommended other dealers who do not have these rules. Would never use again to purchase a new car. Buyer Beware!

We bought a Discovery Sport from Pentland Stirling, which apparently they knew the whole history of, as they had sold it new to its only previous owner, and had serviced it. In the first six months we had it back in on three separate occasions; first two times as the plastic door trims were coming away due to rubbing against the side steps (they finally admitted that the door steps were not Land Rover fitted, and therefore not right, hence the issue... cue steps being removed and car looking totally different from when we bought it). Third time was because electric boot struts had failed and the tailgate had a mind of its own. After attempting to charge me over £800 for new struts, they eventually agreed to change these under warranty.

Three months later the boot struts failed again. In addition, the auto-stop function wasn't working (and never had since day one). I was advised that I could take the car to Taggarts in Glasgow as we live closer to that dealership, and it was after all a Land Rover dealer, so the warranty repairs would be allowed. Taggarts refused to change the boot struts under warranty, so as we speak we are still stuck with a tailgate that goes up but not down. They charged the car battery overnight and the auto-stop function then worked. Approximately three times. Then stopped again.

Since then I have contacted Pentland Stirling twice (copying in the service and sales contacts we previously dealt with) asking for a resolution to the many issues we've had. As I type, we have still had zero response, even to acknowledge the emails.

Two things have come out of this - I'll never deal with this mob again, and it's highly doubtful I'll ever buy another Land Rover, given the research I've done (and wish I'd done earlier) which has clearly demonstrated that our issues are far from being an isolated case.

Avoid.

I strongly suggest you steer clear of Pentland Land Rover in Stirling. Agreed a price for a Mercedes A Class with them and paid a deposit. When I decided not to take their finance deal but to take a cheaper finance option via my own broker they decided they would increase the price by £500 from that they had agreed. Obviously this company is supposed to be a car retailer but seems more interested in receiving commission on the exorbitant finance rates they offer. My own broker was 3.3% lower on interest rate. Using my own broker was saving me £65 per month. I just wonder had I been other than a pregnant female if the treatment and service received would have been different? Businesses like this need to be called out so that others may avoid a similar shocking experience!! The manager Scott Martin is so rude and no interest in even trying to gain business!
