My appointment was not booked when I arrive for service at 8.15am. Not very pleased about that but Bea was great and took care of it all. Contacting motability to authorise service. So thanks to Bea I didn’t have to return another dayz

Service did not take long and included an oil change.

I had a very disappointing and concerning experience with this company.

My vehicle service was not completed properly. I never received a vehicle health check, and more importantly, they allowed me to drive away with a dangerously bald tyre that had a visible bulge in the sidewall. This is a serious safety issue that should never have been missed. They also failed to identify significant undercarriage damage to my car.

When I raised these concerns, I was assured the matter would be investigated, but nothing meaningful came from it. The following day, I returned due to a faulty sensor that I had already asked them to check during the service. I was told they “could not replicate the issue,” which was very hard to believe, as the problem was obvious and would have been identified with even a basic check.

After bringing the car back yet again, they finally discovered the underlying issue and then informed me that the vehicle was unsafe to drive — this was after I had already completed a 400-mile journey. This situation could have ended very differently and put my safety at risk.

I made multiple complaints. I received one call from someone claiming to be a manager (although from a different department), who said they would keep me updated — but I never heard from them again. I also left a Google review and submitted another complaint through their website, both of which were ignored.

On the day of the service, staff appeared more concerned with finishing early than ensuring my vehicle was safe and properly checked. Communication was also poor — my email to the staff member handling my case was ignored, and I was later told it was because she was new and her email wasn’t working, despite the fact I had successfully sent her an email in front of her.

To make matters worse, I had to wait two hours for RAC to assess the tyre issue and confirm whether it was safe to drive.

Overall, this experience caused me financial loss due to taxis and unnecessary inconvenience, as well as significant stress. The level of negligence and lack of accountability I experienced means I would not consider using this company again.

The customer service was efficient, polite and friendly - Naeem. Great walkthrough of the features on the car and happy for me to contact him in future to discuss any issues.

we wanted to try a few different cars, and right from the start , Lookers did not put us under any pressure at all, they opened up 6 different cars, that we were looking at, and left us alone to look round them/sit in them/etc and to get 'the feel' of the cars.. when we were happy with the one which we eventually purchased we went inside and Greg helped us with everything.. He was so helpful from start to finish and on hand over day he helped us sort out the paperwork,(DVLA etc ) he was very patient with me and we came from there so happy with our purchase, Greg answered all my little questions, no matter how small they were and kept in touch by email with any more information that I required.. He then helped me through every stage of the purchase of my new car and the trade-in of my old car.

The staff at south Shields are a credit to your business. I highly recommend them.
