I have had some great products from this company, but I ordered some items fpr Christmas at the beginning of December, 1 item was delayed as it was out of stock, it kept getting pushed back, eventually it looked like it wasn't coming in time for xmas and then they sent me an email saying her is a discount code for money off, I went to use it and it wouldn't work, I then reread it and it said it was for clothes and shoes only, the thing is Home essentials do not sell those products, when I complained i was told I can use their sister brands using my login from home essentials, I said that was a rubbish apology, but like complaining to nestle about smarties and getting a voucher for some SMA baby milk.

Then "Jane" a customer advisor said

Hi Michael,

I'm sorry for the disappointment caused, we do have offers and promotions feature on our website it won't be long before the next one.

She obviously never read my complaint in the slightest

Just wanted to let people know that if you buy beko 5 door freezer do not bother as I have had mine 6 months and it’s broken down 4 times had different parts and they won’t replace it till it has new parts, home essentials won’t do anything about it after 30 days so you are stuck with a freezer that doesn’t work even though it’s under warranty for 12 months they won’t replace it so be aware that if it breaks down your going to go through hell trying to sort it out

Ordered goods. Paid for fast delivery. One week later, still no goods and showing still in their warehouse. Cancelled order and said they would do me a credit. Over a week later, still no credit. Chased again to be told it had not been done. Have now requested again. First and last time ever using.

Awful company! Record your calls because they don’t do it! No accountability, customer services is appalling

I had no issue and I could of, should of closed the account. I will closing the account- don’t be tempted to join or stay. Studio is a much better company.

terrible quality of the product and there is no refundable option in that particular site no replace policy very much dissapointed and it is totally a fraud site

My Home Essentials account was compromised and it was brought to the attention of Home Essentials. Shockingly ,they swept it under the carpet . My telephone number was successfully changed and my email address was also compromised. Home Essentials customer service staff told me that it was nothing to worry about .Also , Home Essentials refused to process a refund for a faulty item. I am done with Home Essentials , never again! I have made a firm resolution not to order from companies that have no regard for their customers.

One of the best love shopping with jd Williams and they're other sites so decided I would try home essentials as I have used all they're other sites always a great experience highly recommend

So I received a broken items in October 2022. Sent it back, never received a refund. I've chased them 5 times each being told they were "Escalating" it. I never heard from this mystery department. I opened a complaint around 4 weeks ago, still not heard anything. I'm waiting until the 8 weeks are up so I can take it to the ombudsman.

Also had another item just stay at the stage "we are expecting your parcel". Once again told they were "escalating" it. Never heard anything more. Avoid this company at all costs!

I returned an item worth £450 which arrived back there November 14th and still haven’t received my refund. They’ve confirmed they received it but every time I log in and query the refund on online chat they start from scratch and then claim to be looking into it. I’m nearly £500 down heading into Christmas after purchasing an item for my dad which I quite frankly don’t have the money to buy again without the refund. A month is a ridiculous amount of time for this and to be honest I don’t feel any closer to rectifying the issue so who knows how long I’ll be waiting.

I've just opened and account with these got 150 credit but after reading the reviews I don't think be using this company as a bit weary now sounds like a scam I'm glad I never put my debit details in thanks people for the reviews to help me with decision

Ordered an air fryer, which cost £150 back in April 2022
First statement came in may requesting minimum payment which i paid more than the minimum amount
But it wasn’t until august when the statement came that i noticed that my balance wasn’t coming down even though i was paying every month more than the minimum payment so i looked into it more and found they were charging me interest which was sometimes more than the minimum payment
i contacted them via email but had no response so i emailed head office to complain and they just palmed me off and couldn’t give a truthful explanation as to why i’d payed £70 off but yet still owed £110 plus would not explain why they were charging way more in interest than the actual payment even though i was never told about any interest charge
i’ve now paid this off fully as i did not want these non justifiable extra amounts added but it still cost me almost £40 more than the actual cost of the item as if i kept paying every month it would have cost me well over £200
once i paid this off i requested the account closed but a week later its still not closed
The ignorance of this company is unbelievable
So anyone buying from these just be careful off not over paying for goods that are purchased as they won’t tell you

Bought a 58 inch hisense TV. Was originally £375 but had an offer and got £45 off had the best offer going. (I was skeptical at first because I've never heard of this site before and there are many scammers around.)

The delivery company allowed me to choose a date for delivery so that allowed me to plan what day I could be in. Then they gave me a time slot and even called 20 mins before delivery. They even came 2 hours early. This kind of service is unheard of these days most delivery companies don't give any notice drop the parcel on your door step and drive off. Extremely satisfied 10/10

Placed an order, courier received it, said it was out for delivery then there's an issue with my delivery, courier said it would be sent out the next day, that was over a week ago n still not received the item, sent several emails all of which have been ignored, still been charged for the item even though not had it.

Ordered 3 items. one was out of stock and they sent out the package regardless without confirming with me. For me I wouldnt have paid the shipment fee for just two items as it's a higher delivery fee on average. But when confronted they just said it'd have been the same shipment fee anyway.
Also delivery service was terrible. I was home when they attempted to deliver it but didnt hear door knock and driver would not call recipient because they are not provided with a company phone. They left me a note asking me to pick it up as they do not offer second attempt delivery. I missed the note and when trying to contact customer support for delivery on website it's always busy. Eventually the shipment was sent back to Home essentials and I had to pay the delivery fee for nothing. Terrible experience.

Yet another review about NOT receiving my refund. Lost count how many times I’ve been in touch and told that my case has been “escalated”! They just tell lies all the time. I have proof they have received my return yet still disputing my refund. Raging…. Please don’t order from them, terrible company

I ordered a fridge/freezer , the order was cancelled unknown to me , no communication, I noticed it when I was trying to track the order, on the chat I was told it was because I didn’t have a proper address, I assured them my address was correct, I told them to refund my money, I was assured this was put through but would take 3-5days to go back to my card , I still haven’t received it , I am now told it wasn’t put through that day , now I have to wait another 3-5days from Friday
This is unacceptable, I certainly wouldn’t deal with this company
I’ll be reporting them to my card provider

Ordered a washing machine a week ago and it still says "processing" even though it should of been delivered today at the latest. I've now been told I have to wait another 3-5 days to find out what is going on. I have two kids and am without a washing machine. Wish I never used this company. Terrible customer service, never email back. Really not happy.

Ok if you order normal everyday things.if you order Apple airpods,don’t expect to receive them.I ordered some for my son in September for his birthday,they didn’t arrive when stated,i spoke to them and they said it was the courier’s fault.cancelled order and ordered more.never arrived.i ordered elsewhere and recieved the very next day.in the meantime I ordered a few bits for Christmas all fine and received within a couple of days.ordered airpods for daughter’s birthday on 16/November no sign rang again yesterday.with courier but no tracking as usual, on Evri website.they only ever have tracking for non expensive items.i would not recommend at all.UPDATE as of Today December 1st still no sign of them!

I have credit with these yet a staff member lied in email saying I'm in arrears when my account says i'm in credit and refuse to let me order unless i pay the arrears when i not in any arrears.

I usually only write reviews when I've had a bad service but I had to comment on how impressed I was with my order from Home Essentials. I placed an order for a set of draws at 6.30pm Friday night. Within 20 minutes I got a dispatch email, and my goods arrived at 10am on the Saturday morning! Very happy indeed and pleasantly surprised.
