Homebase - Horsham Arvostelua 

I was picking up a Click and Collect order but had a further purchase. The assistant sorted the Click and Collect and then took me to a till to deal with the additional purchase so I didn't have a further wait.

Went above and beyond when the mower I ordered wasn’t in stock and upgraded me to a bigger one free of charge and staff were very helpful and nice

Branded products, substantially cheaper than major retailers locally, easy to order, collected same day and friendly, helpful staff

Click and collect worked really well. Unfortunately I didn't notice that Homebase sells a 250ml can of WD-40 Specialist PTFE for about the same price as I can pay locally for 400ml, I didn't spot that until I picked it up, so it's very expensive. On the other hand the other stores would have meant not getting the item in until next day and I needed it immediately so I was just glad to be able to get my hands on it within an hour or so!

I bought too much paint and asked customer service how to return it. I was told to take it to store which I did. This is a two mile walk for me. When I presented the paint I was told they would not take it back as they don’t stock the colour. This is a waste of my time and energy. I should not have been told to take it to store. The staff member was quite off with me. I contacted you again and was told it would be collected . I haven’t had an email to confirm this yet.

Always like a bargain. Very fast service.. only criticism had to wait a while at desk as was unmanned. However the lady serving was pleasant and courteous. Bought the same item twice.

Cheaper than the other sites. All the paints were almost immediately ready for collection. Easy to collect. Only drawback was that I couldn't click and collect the colour I needed mixed

I placed an order for click and collect for a couple of tester paint pots. I thought this would save a bit of time trying to find them for myself in store. Within the hour I received a text to say they were ready to collect.

My wife went in store to collect the order and noticed that one of the paints was different to the one ordered. When she explained to staff that they had provided the wrong paint a supervisor said that she would have to get a refund and then reorder!? Unfortunately my wife had no credit cards so I then had to go back to the store.

This made absolutely no sense as they hadn't selected the right product so it seemed a simple case of just swapping the paint pots - evidently that is not the process and the customer needs to be inconvenienced for a mistake that they have made.

I returned to the store and thankfully was able to get a swap and it seemed someone had finally seen sense albeit a little late!

What should have been a simple process ended up costing me two trips to the store and about three times as long as it would have taken for me to find the items in store myself. I may have been a little less irritated if the mistake had been mine but surely the customer shouldn't be inconvenienced if a member of staff selects the wrong colour?

Easy to use, communication was excellent and the lady that served us at Homebase, Horsham was lovely. Very personable and cheerful. Thank you

Easy to use on line, good communication and reasonable price.

I purchased sellotape as I saw it on offer. Yet when I got home I saw on my receipt the offer hadn’t been applied. I wouldn’t have purchased if this was the case.

Updated my review following resolution from Homebase customer service team who issued goodwill gift card to compensate.

After confirming my collection I was called to say there had been a mistake & it wasn’t in stock. Too late to order from the East Grinstead store by then too, now having to drive to Chatham in Kent to pick up

6 x chrome plated hinges,5 of 6 were defective. Used click and collect. Waste of time. Store should have inspected goods before completing order. No doubt items went back in stock and will stay there until the next click and collect order.
