Homebase - Ewell Arvostelua 

Short wait, but smooth service

I visit Ewell store 2/3 times a week. Always get excellent customer service from all staff. Especially Duty Manager Helen. Her boss looks after the staff.

Refund refusal. I spend a lot of money in our local Homebase store. For example, last week I made purchases for our home and garden on four separate visits. However, I tried to return just one potted plant the day after buying, as read up on it and it found it wasn't suitable to be left outdoors all year around. The assistant refused to take it back, despite obviously being still in its original pot/labelling, citing it as store policy. I didn't see any signage in the store about that and there was no mention of it on my sales receipt. By refusing to refund or provide a credit note (my suggestion to the staff member), for less than twenty quid, you have lost my future custom. Please note that it wasn't so much not being offered a monetary refund that irked me, but the miserable and condescending attitude of the staff member. I don't want to go back into that store.

I went to Homebase in Epsom this evening. The customer service I received from Terry was excellent. He was friendly, patient and helpful.

I ordered a 210 water Butt at a great price but unfortunately when I picked the product up I was damaged with two big dents on the side. I noticed this and subsequently the first water butt was exchanged for a new one which arrived soaking wet as it had been outside!! I carried and put it in my car and to my horror I found that when I unloaded it from my car that unfortunately I hadn’t noticed but here again there was a big dent and on the side of this replacement water butt!!! I live near Cobham and therefore Ewell which is the nearest Homebase took 40 minutes to dive down and a similar journey to drive home. I therefore do not wish to repeat this journey and will keep the replacement water butt in spite of it being damaged. My order number is 568991909 and I would appreciate some compensation. I really enjoy shopper Homebase and I am sure this unfortunate event is definitely not up to your height standards. Looking forward to hearing from you. Regards, Michael Weldon ########. One of the items was a different colour to the others and nobody had notified me. Travelled 40mins to collect from a store that had stock. The employee on the collection desk was miserable.

I was able to pick up my horticultural sand order within the hour and the staff were very pleasant.

Click and collect. Easy to order online. Product was waiting for us when we arrived in store.

Very efficient service. Professional & friendly staff. Good range of products. For me, the click and collect service is great as it saves wandering the isles to find the right paint amongst sooo many ootions.
