My jacket Salt Original arrived late due to a train delay and a truck mechanical issue, but my disappointment is mainly about the new Salt Original Jacket. I own the 2009 version, and this updated model feels like a downgrade. The hand pockets are small and closed with short Velcro strips that don’t cover the full opening, making them less practical. The inner pocket is also too small, whereas the older model had a much more useful mesh pocket. The collar and hood are still good, but overall functionality has decreased. I am returning the product. As well I noticed that HH charges fees for each return, that is not a good point.

Being a Sailing Coach at the California Yacht Club we face all types of weather on the water! Based in California but attending events all over the country and world, it's great to have the support of Helly Hansen and being able to always have the top gear on the market. Thanks a lot!

I purchased an Alpha Lifaloft ski jacket and after three seasons the jacket broke. After providing some photos and a description HH provided me with a full store credit to purchase a new jacket. This was great service and would make me shop again.

Really awesome - excellent. I enjoy wearing HH shoes - they fit true to my size - 11.5 - and are comfortable and long lasting.

I had one small problem that was immediately resolved. I was amazed and really HH exceeded my expectations.

Clear prompt communication -

Product recall - told to send a photo to a given email address. Emails all bounce back. Told to contact customer service phone number - 'closed for training'.

Your mistake - but I'm doing all the chasing for you to be able to rectify it. Appalling.

100 percent satisfaction! I bought a jacket last year and had some issues with it. Contacted customer support and they helped me out big time with warranty. Not only were they quick to handle it but I didn’t feel like I had to beg for help! Now this is good customer service. I will buying more stuff soon.

Ich habe HH bestellt, meine Kreditkarte ist belastet. Die Zustellung ist so sicher das eine Unterschrift erwartet wird. Das ist nicht möglich da wir tagsüber kaum zu Hause anzutreffen sind. Eine Änderung auf DHL Station ist nur möglich wenn ich eine PostID oder so etwas habe. Bei DHL bin ich registriert. Als Empfangsort habe ich etwas hinterlegt. Alle anderen Versender schaffen das. Es ist extrem mühsam einen Kontakt zu HH zu bekommen um eine für uns geeignete Empfangsmethode zu vereinbaren.
Wer hat ähnliche Erfahrungen gesammelt?
Die Abwicklung bei HH ist so sicher das nichts ankommt ( persönliche Unterschrift erforderlich, Änderungen des DHL Ablageortes nur mit „Post ID“ ….

Recall handling is an imposition. The fact that HH has multiple recalls on live vests is bad enough. But they set one on top with a recall process, which involves waiting 14-28 days for a response (this is what they wrote, only one week has passed since, so I don't know if this response will ever be sent).

I purchased a pair of safety shoes on sale at 50% off. The order hadn’t been shipped 3 days later so I enquired about the delay of my order and was assured the order was being processed in their warehouse.
The next day my order was cancelled and the safety shoes are now full price again and in stock on their website.
The reason for cancellation was given as either I requested it (I didn’t), no stock of item or a pricing error. That leaves me to assume they didn’t want to fulfil the order of an item on sale as it is now full price and in stock?
Very poor service.

Helly Hansen has some of the best apparel out there and their Customer Service is top notch. I called them for a defect issue and it was resolved in 24 hours.

Great customer service from HH. Wrote about my problem, I received a quick reply and a satisfactory solution. will definately order from them again, they do support the warranty of their products.

Completely unsustainable company. Actively encourages refuse disposal of products. And does not recycle or upcycle at all. Very disappointed to still see a company as unsustainable as this in the 21st century.

Customer service response time is over 3 days. Each time I contact they delay it further.

Contacted Helly Hansen Customer Services when two Tech Pro jackets delaminated.

HH responded very quickly, asked for several additional bits of information and then agreed to replace both jackets.

Excellent customer service

I had scout men's duffle bag that ripped in the back. I sent photos to customer service.
Customer service returned my email on a timely time frame gave me a store credit and I was able to reorder another duffle bag at no charge. I am one happy camper. Customer service at Helly Hansen 5 stars. Thank you.

Sold me a faulty life jacket for my child and years later told me of the risk of drowning. Recall process done with photos of jacket destruction, still no refund weeks later. Now found out they a Norwegian company have sold/given my personal details to two USA AI companies without my permission which want a photo copy of my passport for a refund of a faulty life jacket that could have killed my child. Absolute vile company that is selling personal data to USA far right AI companies.

Selling buoyancy aids (for kids!! ) and starting a recall because of risk of drowning YEARS later!! As if that wasn’t bad enough, making the refund process really awkward on top of it! Bought from the brand thinking it was reliable and good quality, just disgraceful & disappointing.

Jeg har relativt nylig kjøpt sko hos HH. Etter å ha brukt dem i hverdagen, virket de komfortable nok til at jeg tok jeg dem til en byreise hvor jeg forventet å gå ganske mye. Jeg er veldig vant til å gå 10000 skritt om dagen med andre sko, men disse HH-skoene prøvde å være svært harde og førte til at jeg etter et par dager fikk smerter i ryggen, kne og ankler. Som lojal HH-kunde tok jeg kontakt med kundeservice med håp om noe en innstilling fra selskapet Svaret jeg fikk var såpass byråkratisk og uinteressert, at jeg nesten måtte melde dette på Trustpilot.
