Halfords Autocentres Arvostelua 

I received excellent service yesterday, Tuesday, October 6th, 2026, 4.30 p.m., at the Poole Store near Tower Park from Luca and Reece. I needed a new inner tube replacement quickly, and they obliged without any fuss. It was a superb customer experience, and both are a credit to Halfords. Reece is an e-bike guru, too. Thanks, Guys. Gary, Black Pro Cube Bike and potential Boardman e-bike purchaser (288275!). Thank you, team!

Excellent service at the Stranraer branch I was away from the midlands on holiday and had a bolt in my rear tyre orders tyres and they were in the fitting centre next working day customer service was perfect phone call to say there were in and met at the car to say they were expecting me and they were ready to work on the car all done in an hour text to say it was ready for pick up can’t fault the service a credit to the Halfords brand

The staff were helpful, polite and friendly. They explained everything to us and the car was quickly returned to us after the work was compleated.

Easy to book, friendly and welcoming team, did not push a hard sell on advisory work, and I will definitely return when I am ready to do this work. Took time to chat the work over with me and explained options really well. Excellent price compared with other local garages, free breakdown cover with service and blue light voucher used for discount.

Smooth mot service. Also called prior and they said i could leave the car a bit earlier due to an appointment.

Failure after failure! My car was booked in for a service and MOT, but less than 24 hours before, Halfords cancelled the MOT, leaving me to find and pay for one elsewhere at short notice, despite having a Premium Membership that includes a free MOT.

The service reported no faults, yet my car failed its MOT because a headlight bulb was incorrectly fitted, something that should have been checked during the service. To make matters worse, Halfords recorded the wrong mileage, somehow adding 1,000 miles in the 30 minutes and 1 mile between their centre and the MOT station. Their tyre report also completely contradicted the MOT centre's findings.

Trying to make a complaint has been another level of incompetence. Shocking service from start to finish, and the issue still isn't resolved.

Five-star service at Halfords Poole (Ringwood Road)! Brought my Xiaomi M365 Pro in today (06/10, Tran: 586891) with a flat front tire.
Although I was initially told it would take a week, another technician arrived and stepped in to fix it on the spot in under 15 minutes — I think he even adjusted my brake because it works great now, and he carried the scooter down the stairs for me!
True dedication to his job and his customers. Massive thanks to him for saving my day!

Called in for a battery fitting, which was completed witiin 10 mins. Very helpful and friendly staff.

Reception staff attitude issues and lack of knowledge of company products and services.
True timing for work to be done not explained to customers when booking.

Having booked online for 4 tyres to be fitted I duly arrived at the garage to drop off my car. I was happy to wait until told that it could take up to 1 1/2 hours and that I would be contacted when it was finished. Although I thought the time quoted was excessive I chose to wait next door in McDonald’s where I could clearly see the garage frontage. It was very interesting to see that my car did not move for 45 minutes and once taken into the workshop reappeared 35 minutes later.
Why didn’t the staff member just be honest and explain that although I had a 9am appointment on a Monday morning that my car could not be taken into the workshop straight away as anyone making an appointment would expect.
How does being treated this way make you feel?? Clearly in this case the staff member thought it was easier to give an exaggerated time for the job rather than be honest and transparent. What other untruths are they prepared to say to customers??

The process of getting in touch with halfords was hell. My car’s battery died under warranty and my can wouldn’t start when I came out of Waitrose last Sunday. I was stranded. I had to call the RAC breakdown assistance who came and jumpstarted my car and recommended i take it straight to Halfords to get the battery looked at. I looked up halfords on Google maps. The closest one was Halfords Autocentre in Uxbridge. I try to find a number but fhere isn’t one listed on google maps. I drive from Rickmansworth all the way to Uxbridge only to find it’s closed. I checked google maps again and the next one was Ruislip. I went there and it was closed too. Again no telephone number was listed. I came home having to risk switching off my car and my car’s system told me it’s low battery again.

At home I logged into halfords website and started a chat. The person on chat told me she can’t book a warranty call for me, so I would call another number. On explaining my situation and the two closed stores she said the best she could do was book me a store visit for the next day. I explained i can’t visit a store anymore because my car wont start. She said she can’t help me. I called that number and explained that my battery was changed by a Halfords van that came to my home 2 years ago and it came with a 5 yr warranty and if they could send the van again. She told me for a home visit i will have to purchase a breakdown cover or pay for a visit. I explained it is under warranty, and should be free, she refused quite rudely and hung up. I called the number again and got another person who again hung up on me. I tried a third time and this time I met a helpful person called Nonu. She booked a van visit for me for the next morning with a free battery replacement on Monday morning between 8am to 10am. I explained i have to go to work and i dont want to have to miss it. She assured me the van will be there.

The next morning the van wasn’t there. I called Halfirds again at 9.45am after waiting since 8am and they told me the van would arrive in 10 mins. The van did not come.

The van finally came at 10.20am. The technician was great and changed the battery in 20 mins. But i had to miss work that day.

This entire ordeal has made me seriously consider my association with Halfords. My brake light has been on for at least a year. I’ve taken my car to halfords watfords at least sis times and gotten my rear break disks, pads, and osme other but replaced. The light always comes back in a week. I finally took the car to Halfords Ruislip who told me Watford had fixed a wrong part and they replaced it for free, and now the light won’t come back. The light came back in 2 days. I am disabled and I have the stamina to deal with this shit anymore.

Someone should seriously streamline this entire process and pull the plug on the automatic voice selection feature on your phone number because the unlimited options are not accessible for someone with disabilities and i had to call them 4 times after already being incredibly stressed and disappointed.
