It needs some improvements
It needs some improvements. I need to be able to move things below the TAB, so its not cluttered. Really hate the lack of flexibility.
Update Response: GP Team had been contacted before this review explaining the need to not stuff things like Palm Muting between the clef and TAB, as it’s cluttered. They seemed very uninterested. The stylesheet doesn’t address such issues. Maybe it’s not a popular request. IDK

Overall great product with a few usability quirks
Guitar Pro has a ton of incredibly useful features. Unfortunately, like with any program that feature rich, it requires a learning curve. Once you learn the keyboard shortcuts, it is fantastic.
A couple of small quirks - the lyrics editor is not very useful as is. I understand why they do it the way they do but it makes for a sub-optimal experience.
The songbook subscription is not useful to me because I can't edit any of the files. It supposedly has to do with copyright laws but save your money on that one.

Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. We're glad to hear that you're enjoying the software, especially once the learning curve is tackled.
We’ll keep your feedback in mind for future updates. As for mySongBook, indeed, it’s protected by copyright and licensing agreements, which is why file editing is limited for these scores. We hope to offer more flexibility down the road.
Don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team at: https://support.guitar-pro.com/hc/en-us/requests/new. We’re always here to help!

Thanks for your feedback.
It seems there is a misunderstanding. The Guitar Pro 8 license gives access to a wide range of powerful composition and practice features. Such as score editing, multi-track tablature, realistic audio playback, chord and scale tools, advanced notation settings, and much more. You can find a complete overview here:
https://www.guitar-pro.com/c/14-guitar-pro-features
However, it does not include free access to mySongBook, which is a separate legal and paid service offering high-quality official scores under license. Subscriptions are optional.
That said, Guitar Pro can open and edit thousands of free tabs available online.
