We got lots of great help from a store assistant when looking at camping gear. Which the purchase we made the cashier was polite, friendly and professional.

I was returning an item without the receipt. The staff were exceedingly helpful in looking at the transaction at their end. There was some confusion as to whether I was a member or not, but they were quite happy to give me voucher of the same amount of money. You don’t always find customer service so good so hot off to them.

Don’t go to the Derby Store
Don’t go to the Derby Store. I was legitimately shopping for a hiking and camping trip I have in the next few weeks and for kit for a youth group I run and received a parking ticket for spending too long in-store.
As it is a big store it would be hard to get through the whole shop unless you knew exactly what you needed and where it is (which I didn’t).
Save yourself the stress of a £60 ticket for spending 13 minutes over 2hrs and purchase what you need somewhere else.
I will never be revisiting here myself.

We are sorry to hear that you received a parking charge notice after visiting our store and appreciate how frustrating and upsetting this experience must have been.
There is signage within the store advising that customers staying longer than two hours are required to provide their vehicle registration details in-store to prevent a parking charge from being issued. However, I apologise if this information was not clear or brought to your attention during your visit.

Craig was amazingly efficient, he did all the checks and had me on my way with my bike within 15 minutes, gave me great advice on other bits to purchase to make biking more enjoyable. Highly recommend

Great customer service
We had some troubles with our online order parcels, was helped by Paige who spent over 15 minutes tracking them down for us since had come in lots of different parts, even went out her way to check if an item we couldn’t get online was in store which thankfully it had just arrived that day and helped as gather our last few bits as we were off camping that day, thanks for saving our camping trip!

Security Tags Damaging Clothing
I bought a t-shirt from the Derby store today. I asked the girl on the till to check the fabric for damage where the security tag went through. It was fine, but when I tried to make the point that the security tags are sometimes damaging the clothes, despite attempts to put them through seams, she could not have been less interested.
I wanted to make the point about the security tags as it does put me off purchasing items from GoOutdoors store. I have had, in the past, t-shirts with damaged threads due to the security tags.

Horrific service.
Asked a lady on the shoe area for some sandals who said that she’d get her colleague to get me it since she was already dealing with a few customers on the scanner. No one came over for an extremely long time. I had seen the lady use her walkie talkie several times and she had gotten no response. Shocking that no managers had acknowledged this as they were all stood at the front talking (assuming they are managers). Two males and one female. Seen a few other staff members walking around not concerned at all. Embarrassing service and treatment towards customers. Many other customers were waiting too. Quite concerning that a large store only has one employee on the shoe department on the first Saturday of school holidays… Also wondering why customers waiting for the machine get priority? Utterly disgusted by the lack of care and attitude from managers. Managers should be retrained since they clearly don’t know how to run a store. Would give zero stars if i could. Gp Outdoors you need to look at your employees and rethink what type of management you’re hiring. Wouldn’t recommend this store to anyone at all.

Waiting an extended period for assistance, particularly after being advised that someone would come to help, is not the level of service we aim to provide.
It's especially disappointing to hear that repeated requests for assistance over the radio appeared to go unanswered while you and other customers were left waiting. We appreciate how this would have left you feeling ignored and undervalued, particularly during what we recognise is a busy trading period.
Customer service should never make our customers feel overlooked, and we're sorry that on this occasion we fell short of expectations. Your comments regarding staffing levels, communication and the support available on the department have been noted and will be shared with the store management team for review.
