GONG Galaxy Arvostelua 

I ordered a longboard leash from the Netherlands. Unfortunately, the delivery with GLS didn’t go smoothly. First, the package got stuck at their distribution center and was eventually sent back. Gong Galaxy shipped it again, but GLS messed it up a second time.

At that point, Gong decided to send it via a different courier with express delivery, and today it finally arrived.

The Gong team was always friendly, helpful, and quick to respond throughout the whole process. I would definitely recommend ordering from them. Even if something goes wrong with your shipment, there’s no need to worry—they’ll make sure everything gets sorted out!

Lack of Transparency Regarding Taxes — They Refuse to Reimburse the Difference

I bought a wing from Gong on April 1, 2026. Their website didn't specify anything about customs duties for Argentina.

I researched it myself and was informed that it would be approximately 30%. Gong never warned me.

When it arrived, UPS billed me $891,988.92 in customs duties for a product worth $1,349,021.61. I paid almost double what I expected.

A week after my purchase, Gong implemented a new system: they now sell to Argentina with "all taxes included" at 30%.

I asked Gong to refund the difference. Their official response (email dated April 29): "The price you see now includes all import costs... At the time of your purchase, the conditions were different... we cannot assume or reimburse the customs amounts paid."

In other words: Gong admits they changed the system after my purchase, but refuses to compensate me for overpaying.

I paid almost twice as much as new customers for the same product. Gong knows this and chose to do nothing.

I received an email from Gong admitting their error and offering a refund for the difference in taxes I paid. They explained that under the new system they now absorb (pay themselves) part of the import taxes to Argentina. So the reimbursed me for the difference between what I have paid and what now is charged on the Gong website.

Here is the complete letter I received

Hello Adrian,

Following our call, we would first like to thank you for taking the time to speak with us and sincerely apologize for the delay in our response.

We fully understand your disappointment. Beyond the amount paid, we understand the feeling of unfairness you experienced when seeing that the same wing is now available at a lower final price than the one you paid.

We would like to be completely transparent with you.

When you placed your order on April 1st, it was shipped through our standard international shipping process at the time.
The amount paid to GONG was €918.67 including VAT, of which €836.67 corresponded to the products themselves. The order has been shipped with DAP incoterm, and product invoices have been sent to customs. The Argentine customs duties were then charged directly by the local authorities upon import.
These charges, which amounted to €566, are determined by the Argentine authorities.
→ Unfortunately, GONG has no control over how these duties are calculated or over their final amount. We asked UPS to verify the amount on April 22nd; they did so and confirmed the amount was correct. This is why we recommended you accept the parcel.

Your situation also highlighted how significant and difficult to anticipate import costs can be in certain countries, particularly Argentina where customs fees for products manufactured in China are really high.
→ This is precisely why we implemented this new solution that lets customers pay the customs and customs fees while ordering their products. GONG now ship under the DDP incoterm, no customs is asked at delivery.
To be more precise and totally transparent with you, in this new system Argentina is part of a list of countries where the customs price defined in our settings is lower than the Argentinian customs rate.
→ To say it more clearly, GONG pays a part of the customs of Argentinian orders with this new system.

We can understand your frustration; however, there was never any intention on our part to lack transparency. I did not know at the time it would be cheaper with the new system. Product price did not change. Now, GONG just takes some customs at its charge.

To find a positive solution, you paid approximately €1,462 in total for a product that is now offered at around €1,206 with import duties included. You would therefore like this difference to be taken into consideration.

Following our phone call, we would like to offer you two options:
A refund of €256 to your original payment method.
A €300 GONG voucher, valid on our entire website for one year.
We hope this proposal reflects our willingness to find a fair and positive resolution.

Ma planche n'était plus en stock, ils ont fait le nécessaire pour ma fournir.
Les délais étaient conformes.
L'emballage : RAS , mon colis avait pris un coup dans le transport. Heureusement que les protections ont été efficaces.
Ma planche : Lance Wood 5'6. Je décolle bien mieux. Et je peux sortir avec des vents inferieurs à 20nds.

J'ai obtenu une réponse rapide du sav Gong au sujet dune livraison pour laquelle je ne trouvais pas un produit manquant. Olivier m'a permis en fait de le retrouver, bien enveloppé et rangé dans une des poches intérieures du sac de wingfoil. Les expéditions sont vérifiées. Et je suis bien contente d'avoir tout récupéré.
