This was a first-time experience in this area of things. I got a very positive impression of how this is all managed and run. Communication was prompt and helpful, observing clear guidelines.

Goldmoney decided to shut down their personal accounts, forcing all personal account holders to sell their gold. You are stuck with them and have to sell through their platform. Goldmoney displays your vault value based on the average of the best bid and offer, which matches market rates; but when you go to sell, they apply a small fee, then take an additional 10% off of your vault value.

They cite their terms of service, arguing they can sell your gold for whatever price they want, and claim that “market volatility” is forcing them to do this. They refuse to explain the massive gap between the vault value and the settled transaction value.

EDIT: After a formal complaint, Goldmoney adjusted the settled amount to match the Best Bid that had been displayed on the redemption page (a roughly 5% increase). They attributed the remaining gap to a risk premium for weekend volatility. Even after that adjustment, the effective discount to the average BBO was still about 5%, well above a normal spread. On Thursday, 28 October 2026 (a weekday with markets open), the estimated redemption value on their site was still 4.8% below the displayed average BBO, so the weekend explanation does not appear to account for the pricing they apply in general.

RM Bal did a good job confirming information to protect the security of my precious metal holdings, transactions and wire transfers. Happy customer for over 15 years. Keep up the good work.

We wired money from our joint checking account with an online bank, and had an extremely difficult experience trying to get the transfer accepted by Goldmoney. The transfer was not accepted for two full weeks, giving us much anxiety and costing us additional money. However, our relationship manager Ankush Bal was very kind and patient in shepherding us through this agonizing process, and we really appreciate everything she did to resolve our difficulties.

I've had an account since 2016. The website is easy to navigate and transactions are easy to process. Customer service is very responsive, with Nikita helping me most recently.

I have been a client for 15 years and have transacted infrequently. Consequently, I sometimes ask questions to which I find out later I could have found the answer under FAQs or similar. Goldmoney customer support has always been helpful and clear in answering my questions without suggesting that I should have looked harder! I used to be concerned that Goldmoney does not use two-factor authorisation for signing in. However, following a recent sale and withdrawal of funds, I realise that they use 2FA for critical actions like funds withdrawal and also the ability to lock the linked account to prevent unauthorised account changes or withdrawals. Overall, satisfied with my Goldmoney account.

The website, however, could use an update. Statements/Transactions from the old BitGold accounts are not linked to the current Holdings accounts. Transactions are displayed in grams only, not the currency equivalents (which everyone besides the Gold world uses). Transactions are not downloadable in excel format. Just generally clunky.

Ankush was extremely helpful when sorting out a problem. Answered everything very quickly - couldn't have done it better. Relations with customers are very important so this is a big recommendation for this company.
