Golden Tours UK Sightseeing Arvostelua 

I had an absolutely fantastic experience with Golden Tours! My group recently booked the Oxford, Stratford-upon-Avon, Cotswolds, and Warwick Castle tour, and it was brilliantly organised from start to finish.
A special mention must go to our wonderful tour guide and driver, who were both absolute professionals. Our driver was highly skilled, courteous, and navigated the roads safely, making us feel completely at ease throughout the entire journey. Furthermore, the driver went above and beyond by diligently cleaning the coach every single time we stepped off for an excursion. It meant we always returned to an absolutely spotless and refreshing environment! Meanwhile, our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and friendly. They offered brilliant insights and history at every stop, ensuring the whole group was well looked after and entertained.
Finding the departure point at Bulleid Way in Victoria was very straightforward. The coach itself was modern and supremely comfortable, and the onboard Wi-Fi was absolutely brilliant—the internet worked flawlessly the entire time without any drops in connection. The booking process was also highly efficient and offered great value. I highly recommend this tour and this exceptional team for anyone looking for a seamless, perfectly clean, and memorable day out from London!

Wasn’t much of a tour more like just sitting in a bus eating some food. We hardly saw the staff and when we did, some weren’t particularly friendly nor helpful. I booked the lower deck sitting for 2 children and 2 adults hoping we could sit together but we were separated as told there wasn’t enough sitting for us to be sat together and were expecting my elderly mother to go up to the upper deck. Definitely not worth the money l paid and l will not be recommending to anyone!

Our tour guide Kelvin and driver Lucian were wonderful, they really brought the energie and made out experience memorable. The stones were beautiful!

Wir haben uns leider für die falsche Busflotte entschieden. Hier fahren wesentlich weniger Busse als bei den anderen Anbietern. Die letzten Busse sind trotz Fahrplan nicht mehr gekommen. Wir haben 3x zu Fuß die Haltestelle gewechselt, doch es ist kein Bus gekommen. Nach Fahrplan hätten Busse kommen müssen. Wir sind dann mit der UBahn zurück zum Hotel. 2 freundliche Mitarbeiter dieser Linie hatten uns morgens in der Nähe der Towerhaltestelle zum Kauf der Karten überredet und einen dicken Preisnachlass gemacht. Das hätte uns warnen müssen. Schade, diese Buslinie hat uns den Tag verdorben.

Great evening tour with live speaking host. Traffic was quiet, so the host had to speak quickly. I enjoyed the beautiful views from the top deck (everyone had a top deck seating) the sun was setting, but we had day light until the end. It was a great way to see all the city high lights within an hour and a half.
The booking was confirmed twice over WhatsApp.

Wir haben die Harry Potter Studios Tour gebucht. Versprochen war die Hin und Rückfahrt mit Film und eine 4-stündige Studio-Tour.
Dass der Film nur auf Englisch zu sehen ist, ist bei einer international tätigen Transfer-Firma schon schwach, aber das es auch keinerlei Hinweise darauf gibt, ist eine Frechheit. Auf dem Rückweg war dann gleich gar kein Film zu sehen.
Außerdem ist die Zeit für die Tour viel zu knapp bemessen und reicht nicht einmal, um die Multimedia- Guides ansatzweise voll auszuschöpfen.
Das Butterbier kostet in den Studios £7,95 und wird von Golden Tours für 9£ verkauft.
Alles in allem leider mehr einen Touristenfalle als ein gelungener Ausflug!
Meine Empfehlung: Die Tickets deutlich vor dem Urlaub direkt in den Studios buchen ( 1-2 Monate vorher) und selbst oder mit der Bahn anreisen. Dort kosten sie nur ein Drittel des Preises und man hat genügend Zeit, alles anzusehen und muss nicht noch £ 15 pro Person zahlen, um länger zu bleiben. Und die Bahnfahrt ist deutlich günstiger.

Be very careful before you book. If you need to contact customer services, they don’t respond to your emails and there’s no direct line to them.
we booked a tour of Newcastle and unbeknown to us, the roads in Newcastle city centre were closed and no buses were running. Yet they allowed us to book it!!!
I have been trying to get in touch with customer services for 3 weeks and have had no response back. I have emailed and rang the general helpline 4 times and keep getting told”we will expedite your email”!!! So it looks like I’ve lost my money. Very disappointed. Good luck to those who book. I only hope the bus turns up.

First contact was a really friendly and helpful driver. The commentary during the tour was interesting and not over bearing - just the right amount of detail. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole hour's tour.

When I was advised to purchase tickets for hop on hop off at no time were we advised that ws would still have to walk a mile from mable arch to madam tussards and a mile back to get the bus ,then when on the bus informed that it was a one way system only,and that we would have to go round the whole system to get off at Buckingham Palace road ,think salesmen have tunnel vision and clearly on commission, what ever happened to honesty

It was a spectacular experience for the one day deluxe tour with Golden Tours UK Sightseeing! David was a very friendly and knowledgable tour guide! Joanna was a fantastic bus driver. Each of us got a lunch pack with meat balls salad, soft drinks, pack of chips, bottle of water, wet wipes, cutlery and condiments. In addition, free supplies of beer, champagne and water on the deluxe bus. We didn’t have to queue long for each of our attractions. Haha one thing we forgot to do was to take our group photo; I knew it’s hard for a big group, but we only had eleven people. 😂😂 We definitely would recommend this luxurious tour to all of you! Less hassle and more fun!!

The best company in London.. Mr. Bakir helped to me and my family for all attractions tickets, told everything very clearly, kindly.. He makes our trip and time more enjoyable and relax in London.. Thanks to him and other staff at Baker street a lot..

Everything was very smooth, from the point of my initial contact with George when I asked for a cost estimate and itinerary for a private tour, until the end of the tour itself when we returned to London at the agreed time with our designated guide and driver, the excellent David. George’s responses were very prompt and clear, and most of all, David’s deep knowledge of Salisbury Cathedral and especially Stonehenge was most impressive.
It was my second time to Stonehenge but I learned much more this time, as did my two companions who came for the first time. We all felt David’s love for the place. Thank you, David! And a shout-out to George, too!

I faced an unacceptable experience, my family and I had during our tour to Stonehenge, Windsor Castle, and Bath on July 2, 2026.

My wife, our three-year-old son, and I joined your tour from London with the expectation of having an enjoyable and comfortable experience. Unfortunately, the behavior of the female bus manager completely overshadowed our day and left us deeply disappointed.

Since both my wife and I experience motion sickness, I politely requested window seats. We were also traveling with our three-year-old son, who naturally alternates between sitting with his mother and father during long journeys. As this was a 12-hour tour, I explained that having window seats would not only help us manage our motion sickness but would also keep our son occupied by allowing him to enjoy the scenery outside.

Instead of listening to our request with understanding, the bus manager responded in an extremely rude and disrespectful manner. She raised her voice in front of all the other passengers and said, "If you are not sitting in your assigned seat, this bus is going nowhere."

What made the situation even more upsetting was that I noticed another family had been assigned two window seats. When I politely asked why the same accommodation could not be made for us, she responded by telling me that if I was unhappy, I should get off the bus and take another one.

Respecting her decision, I stepped off the bus to speak with her. However, instead of calmly discussing the matter, she continued shouting at me outside the bus. She even told the tour guide to remove me and my family from the tour bus so that our money could be refunded. At no point was I rude or disrespectful. I was simply requesting reasonable accommodation and trying to explain our situation.

My family and I travel frequently around the world and have always chosen guided tours because we expect professionalism, courtesy, and customer care. We have never experienced such humiliating and disrespectful treatment from any tour operator.

This complaint is not about receiving window seats or obtaining a refund. It is about the way my family was treated. We traveled all the way from Canada to visit London and had been looking forward to this tour. Instead, early in the morning, in front of our young child and other passengers, we were spoken to in an arrogant, aggressive, and disrespectful manner. The bus manager's behavior caused significant stress and completely spoiled what should have been a memorable family experience.

I respectfully request that you treat this as a formal complaint and investigate the conduct of the bus manager. Customers should never be subjected to such disrespect, regardless of the circumstances. I hope Golden Tours values its reputation and takes appropriate action to ensure that no other family has to endure a similar experience.

As a result of this incident, I cannot recommend Golden Tours to friends or family based on the service we received.

Good experience although a few points would have made it excellent. The overall experience was good but the music could have been a bit louder as it was a Taylor themed tour and the Taylor aspects were a bit lacking. The friendship bracelets and fan were great and the cupcake toppers but it could have been a bit more of a party vibe. We had two 9 year olds who we choose this for their birthday surprise as they are obsessed with Taylor and they struggled to hear some of the songs. The sandwiches were very stale by the time we started eating as very hot day so they were a bit disappointing but overall the food was nice enough. The bus is decorated really pretty and the afternoon tea while driving round London is a lovely experience. It could have been amazing but just wasn’t what I would class a themed event. The staff were very friendly and approachable.

My family of 4 adults and 6 children under the age of ten booked a hop on hop off bus tour at 4pm. We were told the tour ended at 8pm. We waited for 20 minutes for a bus and rode for 20 minutes before hopping off. We hopped back on at 5:45 and were taken back and left at a location. They told us to get off the bus and the tour was over. We asked the driver why are you leaving us here and he said the bus ends at 6. We were stranded with no way to return because we were lied to, scammed and refused to be helped. We literally stopped at one stop, road the bus a total of 30 minutes to be left on the side of the road. The driver said to contact customer service and they would give us a full refund because we were sold tickets under false information. When I contacted customer service they would not help, only offered a 25% discount back. Do not use this company. I think it is a scam based on our experiences

Bought 2 tickets for our one of two days in London starting on the yellow line. Waited outside Gloucester station for nearly an hour before giving up and heading to the tube. Caught the train to Buckingham Palace where all 3 lines were supposed to go through. Met with their representative there and told him about the no show. Waited with him for nearly another 20 minutes before we saw the bus finally coming….annnnnd driving straight past us in front of their Rep!! We were livid!! It was so hot and we had wasted hours! Over this time we saw numerous competitors buses come and go regularly. We just picked the wrong company! I said to the Rep that I’d had enough and wanted a refund (no prizes for guessing the response). He said we had to call “head office” and gave us the number…in India! When I said I’m not calling India, he tried to say it just looked that way in his phone. So I called the number in front of him and went through to an Indian-speaking queue which promptly hung up on me. What a joke! Avoid at all costs!! Go with any of their competitors and you’ll be fine!

Excellent experience with Golden Tours. Everything was very well organized, from the check-in to the coach journey. The tour ran smoothly and exactly as planned.
Our driver, Armando, was excellent. He was a very safe and professional driver, and throughout the journey he shared interesting information with a great sense of humor, making the trip enjoyable and entertaining.
Stonehenge is an incredible place to visit, and the whole experience was comfortable, punctual and stress-free. We would definitely recommend Golden Tours.

**1-Star Review – Extremely Disappointing Experience with Golden Tours**

I joined the Stonehenge tour with Golden Tours on **19 September last year**, and it was one of the most stressful travel experiences my family has ever had.

Despite travelling with my **7-year-old child**, the tour coach departed **without ensuring that all passengers had returned**. My family was left behind at Stonehenge, causing tremendous panic and distress. Being stranded in a foreign country with a young child is something no family should ever experience.

What disappointed me even more was the lack of empathy and responsibility shown afterwards. Instead of acknowledging the seriousness of the incident or offering a reasonable solution, I felt that my concerns were not handled professionally. A reputable tour company should have proper headcount procedures and clear communication before leaving any stop, especially when families with young children are on board.

Safety should always be the highest priority. Leaving passengers behind, particularly a family with a young child, is an unacceptable failure of basic tour management.

I hope Golden Tours will review its operating procedures, including mandatory passenger headcounts and better communication between the guide and driver, so that no other family has to go through the same frightening experience.

Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend Golden Tours.

The tour doesn't move very fast through the streets of London but our tour guide Graham kept us entertained the whole time. Excellent knowledge and brilliant banter! Thanks Graham
