Extremely interesting day

Myself, my Daughter and Granddaughters all liked the tour headphones we could listen to at our own pace. This was extremely helpful especially to the 8 year old, certainly held her interest. Brilliant day had by us all.

Jim the Ripper
We had a fabulous time on the Jack the Ripper walking tour with Jim the Ripper. He gave us a true to life insight of the main 5 victims of the Ripper with his knowledge of their lives and life in general during this era. He impressed us with the detailed recounts as he told us about the 3 letters sent to police. Definitely a must do.

Esperienza Vergognosa, abbiamo pagato 300 euro per un tour che partiva da Londra con tappa a stonehenge, il castello di windsor e Oxford, all'arrivo a stonehenge il nostro autobus ci ha abbandonati perchè siamo arrivati con 5 minuti di ritardo, un ritardo causato dall'autobus che dove trasportarci all'entrata del sito, fortunatamente un secondo autobus della compagnia ci ha accolti e abbiamo proseguito il viaggio ma la guida era in spagnolo!
Abbiamo passato più tempo in viaggio che all'interno delle località che avremmo dovuto visitare,
Al castello di windsor abbiamo passato appena un'ora e anche in velocità senza nemmeno poterci godere con calma tutta la zona , abbiamo dovuto correre con l'ansia di rimanere a piedi, e ad oxford abbiamo passato la bellezza di 30 minuti!Per 300 euro questa è una truffa bella e buona! Questi Tour sono fatti per fregare i turisti!

Our Stonehenge, Windsor Castle and Oxford tour is a group tour operating to a fixed itinerary and timetable. Each stop has a designated return time, which is necessary to ensure that the coach can continue to the next destination and that the full group can complete the scheduled itinerary. Passengers are therefore required to return to the agreed meeting point by the stated time.
We understand your frustration regarding the delay at Stonehenge. However, where a passenger does not return to the designated meeting point by the agreed departure time, the coach cannot be held indefinitely as this would significantly affect the rest of the group and the scheduled itinerary. We are pleased that an alternative Golden Tours coach was able to assist you and that you were able to continue the tour.
Regarding the amount of time spent at each attraction, the tour is designed to provide visitors with an opportunity to see three major UK destinations in a single day. Given the distance between London, Stonehenge, Windsor and Oxford, travelling time is an unavoidable part of this particular itinerary. The available time at each location is therefore structured around the overall schedule rather than being equivalent to a full-day visit at each attraction.
We also appreciate that some guests may prefer a slower-paced experience, while others value the opportunity to visit several destinations in one day. For customers wishing to spend considerably longer at any individual location, separate or dedicated tours may be more suitable.
We are sorry if you felt rushed during the tour. However, the purpose of the itinerary is to provide access to Stonehenge, Windsor and Oxford within one organised day, and the schedule must be maintained to ensure all three destinations can be included.
We take all customer feedback seriously and will continue to review how meeting-point information and timings are communicated to ensure expectations are clear before and during the tour.
Almost stranded
My friend and I joined the Stonehenge and Bath tour, for which we paid £243.00. The service and treatment we received fell far below any reasonable standard.
At Stonehenge, our tour guide, Kelvin, was preparing to leave without us because we arrived approximately seven minutes after the stated meeting time. Although he told the group to meet at 12:15 p.m., he did not make the meeting point sufficiently clear. As a result, we mistakenly waited at the Stonehenge shuttle-bus stop, where we met two other members of our group, a French couple who had made the same mistake.
We boarded the shuttle at 12:12 p.m. and reached the coach parking area at approximately 12:22 p.m., only to see the coach already reversing out. Kelvin had apparently decided to abandon paying customers without first making any meaningful attempt to locate or contact us. I received no phone call, despite having provided a UK telephone number when booking the tour.
This was completely unacceptable. Had Kelvin made even a basic effort to call us, the situation could have been resolved immediately. Instead, we faced the possibility of being stranded at Stonehenge and having to arrange expensive transport back to London through no fault of our own.
To make matters worse, Kelvin then publicly humiliated us as we returned to our seats. In front of the other passengers, he made comments including:
"We never leave anyone behind."
"This is what happens when somebody decides to stay longer than they should."
"It is an expensive journey from here to London."
These remarks were sarcastic, unprofessional and entirely inappropriate. Kelvin showed no interest in hearing our explanation and instead chose to belittle and ridicule us in front of the group. We had not deliberately stayed longer at the site; we had misunderstood an inadequately explained meeting point, as had two other passengers. His behaviour made us feel publicly shamed and treated like a child rather than a paying customer.
Furthermore, we arrived only moments after the French couple boarded the coach. Why the tour guide believed he had the authority to leave us behind without first attempting to contact us, particularly when our telephone details should have been available to the company. A professional tour guide should prioritise passenger safety and make reasonable efforts to account for missing customers, not threaten to abandon them and then use the incident to humiliate them publicly.
We paid £243 for this tour and expected competent organisation, clear communication and respectful treatment. Instead, we were nearly stranded, publicly embarrassed and denied any reasonable opportunity to explain what had happened.

Meeting Time at Stonehenge
Our Operations Team has confirmed that the guide instructed all passengers to return to the coach by 12:15 PM.
According to the information provided in your complaint, you reached the coach parking area at approximately 12:22 PM. This means that you arrived approximately seven minutes after the agreed meeting time.
We appreciate that you experienced some confusion regarding the precise meeting point. However, the tour operates according to a pre-arranged itinerary and timetable, and all passengers are given a specific time by which they must return to the coach.
Our tours operate as group excursions with a fixed schedule, and the coach must continue according to the planned itinerary to ensure that the remaining passengers can reach the subsequent destinations and complete the tour within the scheduled timeframe. Consequently, the coach cannot routinely wait beyond the agreed meeting time for passengers who have not returned.
We fully appreciate that being unable to immediately locate the coach can be stressful, particularly when travelling in an unfamiliar location. Nevertheless, the operational records available to us confirm that the guide provided a 12:15 PM return time, and the coach subsequently operated in accordance with the scheduled itinerary.
Regarding Your Concerns About the Guide
We have also noted your comments regarding the interaction with the guide and the remarks you state were made following your return to the coach.
We are sorry if you felt uncomfortable or embarrassed by the way the situation was handled. We expect our guides to communicate with passengers in a professional and respectful manner at all times, and your feedback has been noted accordingly.
However, based on the operational information available to us, we cannot conclude that the tour itself was delayed, cancelled or operated incorrectly. The coach departed in accordance with the agreed schedule, while your return to the coach took place approximately seven minutes after the instructed meeting time.
We therefore have to respectfully maintain that the tour service was provided as scheduled, and unfortunately we are unable to accept responsibility for the missed meeting time or offer a refund on this basis.
We nevertheless appreciate your feedback regarding the clarity of the meeting instructions and the interaction with the guide. We will ensure these comments are shared with the relevant operational team for consideration and staff guidance.

We understand your concern regarding waiting times. However, our sightseeing service operates across 60+ bus stops and three different routes, covering a large part of central London and many of the city's major attractions.
As with any sightseeing service operating on London's busy roads, journey times can occasionally be affected by traffic congestion, road closures, temporary diversions, events, or other operational circumstances beyond the driver's control. In such situations, our drivers may need to follow an alternative route to maintain safe and compliant operations.
We appreciate that this can sometimes result in longer intervals between buses at particular stops. However, this should not be interpreted as our drivers getting lost or the service operating without a planned route.
We continuously monitor our services and aim to provide reliable connections across all our routes. We regret if your experience involved a longer-than-expected wait and appreciate you bringing your concerns to our attention.
Mooie dag in studio, maar boek geen vervoer!
De studios waren mooi om te bezoeken! Erg commercieel opgebouwd, dat wel. Et waren veel sets te zien en te ervaren. Er werd veel informatie prijs gegeven over het gebruik van special effects, het maken van kostuums en maskers en de opbouw van een decor. Het werken met mallen, de ontwikkeling van 0-100. Erg mooi.
De ervaring van het transfer daarentegen viel tegen. De busrit duurde 2 uur (met openbaar vervoer slechts 1 uur). Je kon de Harry Potter film kijken, maar van enorm slechte kwaliteit (je zag zelfs de pixels en bleef geregeld hangen). Vervolgens had je 4 uur de tijd om rond te kijken en je daarna weer bij de bus te melden. Dit was veeeeel te kort! We hebben dan ook al snel besloten eieren voor ons geld te kiezen en zelf de terugweg te organiseren. Erg jammer wanneer je wel de hoofdprijs betaalt.

Very bad experience
Very bad experience. We wait until late at Greenwich. We waited about two hours. People got angry and aggressive. Around 22h00 a boat arrived and people got desperate to get on the boat. Some of them attacked others and one woman was aggressive with me and my family. We got the ticket for 24 hours, unfortunately we were not able to enjoy the day. The worst experience ever.

Rushed experience
The site itself is incredible and absolutely worth seeing at least once in your life.
Unfortunately, the overall tour organization fell far short.
The main issue was the time constraint. While the itinerary listed 1.5 hours at the site, the logistics make that timeline nearly impossible to enjoy:
- Walk from the bus to the stones: 30 minutes
- Time actually at the stones: 30 minutes
- Walk back to the bus: 30 minutes.
Spent mostly on the move, that leaves barely half an hour to enjoy the atmosphere, or explore the surrounding landscape. There was zero time left to visit the visitor center exhibition at the entrance.
On top of the rush, there was practically no communication or guidance from the staff. No instructions were provided on where to go, what to do, or what time the bus was departing. You are essentially left to figure everything out on your own under a very tight clock.
Summary: Stonehenge is a 5-star location, but I would recommend booking a tour or transport option that gives you at least 2.5 to 3 hours on-site with better-organized communication.

Buses sometimes stop at stops wrong stops.
Buses sometimes stop at stops other than those indicated in their own app. In the app you can pin your location exactly at a stop + there is a photo of where to wait, so we were officially correct but the drivers stopped at other stops. Not a lot of busses drive on a traject, during our stay during summer holiday there were only 2 busses driving on the orange tour.

Great staff
Great staff. Attentive, friendly and after a very long day (I did evening cruise) a very very hot day, plus they had the cruise for the eclipse before my cruise, they was still happy. I wish I knew the names. They had an issue with coffee machine, but still they was happy. (A girl with a hat and upturned front).
It was a bonus seeing a would be Viking on his houseboat with his bbq going lol.
We are planning to do it every visit to York. A great way to wind down in an evening.

Wouldn’t recommend again
I wouldn’t recommend this as I barely saw any Golden Tour buses and no representatives of the company. Everything on the tour buses I explored on foot. Additionally, with the three routes; red, orange, and blue. I didn’t see a single bus for the orange route which was unsatisfactory. For a price of £69.60 it didn’t feel like it was worth it. As there was other tour buses around more frequently like Original Tours and Big Bus Tours. But, the location was accessible and the staff were friendly. On the whole experience I wouldn’t recommend this again.

We operate one of the most extensive sightseeing routes in London, giving customers the opportunity to explore a wide range of the city's major landmarks. Our buses generally operate every 20–30 minutes, depending on the route and time of day. We are sorry if you experienced longer than expected waiting times, particularly on the Orange Route.

Flop HOHO Service
This was our first time using this company and it was very disappointing we purchased the 48 hrs ticket for the Red Blue and Orange route but unfortunately we only used the Red and Blue route and the orange was no where to be found.
The routes we used we had already ventured on foot ourselves so this was disappointing and we didn’t realise that the services for the buses stop at a certain time.
So paying £69.90 for this service was definitely not worth it. Looking at a goodwill gesture would be helpful.
It was pretty easy to navigate your stops but we only ever saw one rep and the bus stop whereas the other companies we saw such as Big Bus, Toot and the Original all had reps on every bus stop we went to or past so this was very disappointing.
In hind sight I which we booked elsewhere this has definitely put me off using you again the price you are charging is not worth it the operating times are not suitable as London is a massive City with a massive footfall so definitely missing a trick there.
Other companies were operating longer hours.
The bus was pretty grubby the windows were dirty the head jacks were not working properly while trying to listen to the guide but instead the one earphone you can hear music which was very boring.
Unfortunately we won’t be using the company again and won’t recommend your services sadly.

We operate one of the most extensive sightseeing routes in London, with our buses generally running every 20–30 minutes depending on the route and time of day. We are sorry that you were unable to make use of the Orange Route during your visit and understand how frustrating this would have been, particularly after purchasing a 48-hour ticket.
We also appreciate your comments regarding the operating hours, the availability of representatives, the cleanliness of the bus, and the audio equipment. We will pass this feedback on to the relevant teams for review.
We are pleased to hear that you found the stops relatively easy to navigate, but we regret that the overall service did not provide the value or experience you were expecting.
