Garage Doors Fixed (GDF) Arvostelua 

A very disappointing experience. No alternatives given I felt I had no other options but an extremely expensive one. Which I regret.

We had a great knowledgeable friendly fitter (Gary) who was very polite and professional and it was a pleasure having him working at our home.
He completed the job from start to finish was expertise and professionalism. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend GDF to friends, Family and neighbours.

The man from garage do o rs was polite and helpful

The technician diagnosed the problem and ordered the parts and the door was repaired within three days.The technician was helpful and gave advise regarding future care of the door.

The amount charged of £249 was outrageous fir the amount if work carried out. Work was completed in less than 20 mins!

Garage Doors Fixed Ltd / Wudhus Ltd. (The company).

It's 07/10/26 and I am still waiting for a justifiable explanation from the company as to my original RIP OFF bill of £510 in early May 2026. Later on I received a refund of £75 (still a RIP OFF) with the company "not admitting any wrongdoing".

The company line to customers on Trustpilot is as follows:

1. "Customers pay for not only parts / labour but also the complete service".
Question:
How do parts costing less than £20, labour totaling an absolute maximum of 40 minutes & your "complete service"? equate to my RIP OFF bill of £510?

2. "Our pricing is fully transparent".
Question:
My RIP OFF bill simply states, "cones & cables, 1 yr guarantee, total £510". Where is the transparency you speak of?

3. "No obligation to have the work done".
Question:
Correct! The quote was given, but prior to commencement of work, how could I possibly know the miniscule cost of parts and the quickness of the repair? It was mid / late afternoon and my up and over garage door was jammed fully open, your office completely exploited my predicament, hence my RIP OFF bill of £510.

COMPANIES ACT 2006 / TRADING DISCLOSURE REQUIREMENTS.
You have traded in breach of this legislation by failing to display your registered office address on your company website. It took Companies House 2 attempts to get you to comply, (fully documented).

Failure to display company VAT number on your company website, (fully documented).

Trustpilot have in their words "taken action" against your company due to you not complying to THEIR rules, this related to you being economical with the truth / having a selective memory with another disgruntled customer, (fully documented).

In my opinion, it comes as no coincidence that a company which constantly failed to display its registered office address on its website up until 17/09/26 after Companies House involvement, a company which displays VOIP copycat local area dialing codes for phone bookings on its website, all of which are not local and are automatically routed to your registered office in Mansfield and a company which fails to display its VAT number on its website are deliberate choices made to mislead potential customers into the true size, scale, location and the overall modus operandi of the company.

I would like to make it clear that the company neither invited me, cherry picked me or incentivised me to write this review!

Seeing as the company still appears unable to justify my RIP OFF bill of £510 and is economical with the truth / has a selective memory on certain issues, then my next review will include the company history, it's previous incarnations and all of their goings on! (Fully documented).

Nice and quick service all round, not least the office phoning me within 2 minutes with vital parts information.

Arrived promptly engineer was polite and explained what had caused the failure and what needed doing to repair. When he had completed the work all area was neat and tidy, and he demonstrated the operation of the door

Quick response for garage repair. Expensive for two cones and cable replacement.

Steer clear of this company,charged £287 plus VAT, for a 15 minute job, to gain access to a garage door and replace barrel lock.
On research, access charges are anywhere between £60 - £80, Barrel lock parts £15-£20, call out fee £20, which is supposedly included in the price if job undertaken. In addition, Website advertises Senior citizens discount, none received.
When technician questioned by my wife how he would gain access, was told" that's my little secret". He then contacted his head office with his appraisal of the job and came back with a figure of £287!!
Reminiscent of car dealerships who go into the back office to speak to their manager for a price, nudge, nudge.
If the technician cannot give a price for the job as seen, there us something wrong. Probably decided that the quote given could be inflated on this case, and it was.
I calculate that I was approximately charged over £100 for this job. When I contacted the company to express my displeasure and asked for an itemised breakdown of works and parts on the invoice, which ,BTW, I have not yet received , I was informed, that " they don't do that". Basically, they make it up as they go. My advice is to steer clear of this exploitative, extortionate Company and deal with a more transparent and professional outfit.

The door technician was polite, friendly and explained each step involved in the repair from the initial review/assessment to the actual repair.
Price of repair was on the expensive side (£325 plus vat) for new wires and cups but the company called me with the price upfront and asked for agreement prior to doing the work.

Courteous, efficient engineer/repair man, who was incredibly supportive. Delivered great service. Would totally recommend this company. Thank you!

Whilst being late for agreed appointment the job of fixing the garage door and fitting a new lock was undertaken with speed & professionalism Much appreciated the availability of the mobile service. Was a little more expensive than expected to pay but was given information about cost just before job started and complete. Would recommend to others .

Real people answered the phone and the repair was well done - very professionally

Good that a landline phone answered on a Sunday morning , man and van came 9.30 am next day - Whatever the cost of a new Hormann spring , £695 for the 90 minutes it took to fix it seems excessive !
