The engineer was excellent, but the call centre tried to rip me off asking for a lot more money for a simple basic job. Not happy with that approach.

Avoid at all costs - poor communication, overcharging and an incredibly expensive quote.

We had booked a 10-2pm slot for the 13th August, however someone turned up at around 8am and said they didn't know anything about the booking timings. He proceeded to take a payment of £39.99 which was the call out fee at the time. (Now reduced to £19.99).Having inspected the door I was informed that a replacement door would be over £2100 and sent a quote later that day. This seemed very expensive and not something I wanted to take up.
However, shortly afterwards I realised they had taken the £39.99 from my account twice. I have been trying to communicate with them ever since to get one of these refunded but am having no luck. I have spoken to them several times and always been told it would be sorted out but it hasn't. I have given them 2 months to get this sorted but with no luck.
So I am posting on here in the hope no one gets taken in by their methods of doing business. It appears their business model relies on making money from the call out fee rather than trying to give a reasonable quote and do a good job providing garage doors.

Cain was very helpful regarding my old garage door, he explained why it couldnt be repaired, has some parts were rusty. i then asked him to order a new door.
The booking process was easy, with Cain arriving same day.

Very expensive. I was charged £420 for replacement cables, cones and spindles on an ordinary up and over door. I. got a tiny £20 discount for being a pensioner and wasn’t on site as it is a let property and my tenant dealt with it. For these two reasons I feel I was ripped off. £300 would have been nearer the mark.

Punctual and friendly engineer. Quoted to carry out repairs and I agreed minus the £19.99 consultation. Engineer was here for 3hrs scratching his head and making phone calls, couldn’t repair fault. Still had to pay for diognostics although no repair and fault cured?

Phil the garage door man explained what was wrong and how it would be fixed. The process was quick and efficient. Following the quote the door was fixed the same day, serviced, reprogrammed and he gave me tips on how to clean the door to make it look like new.

Where can you start with these guys. Chap turns up in an unmarked van. Says hes a subcontractor on an hourly rate. Takes a look for 12 seconds, then says. I'll get the office to phone you with a quote. 2 tension cables need replacing.....That will be £300 quid plus call out fee. 2x tension cables are £16 retail. So let's say £9 wholesale. So £9 + hourly rate. Takes roughly 20 min to replace. I say, you must be kidding me. So the chap says, it's OK. If you don't what to pay I'll cut the cables and you won't be able to close the door at all. Nice. So I phone the office and I'm assured that its in line with Trust-a -Trader. I take a look out of interest. Trust-a-Trader says it should be £70-£150 for similar work. Don't belive the stack on fake reviews, just classic pressure sales nonesense and exploitation. Avoid these people at all costs. Please save yourself £150 and get a responsible company to conduct the work.

Very pleased with the service and outcome and the efforts of the engineer. The problem he faced was difficult and was tackled with energy and enthusiasm.

Prompt call out within a couple of hours. Fixed the problem with new parts. Efficient and friendly. Great communication within the workforce from reception to fitter.

£357 for a quick 20 minute fix when you feel under pressure to get fixed as garage full of tools.
Then told by engineer that they would have used some wd40 to coat but never had any

£20 for a service that really should be free, shouldn’t be paying for a measure and a price that was clearly way over what was advertised.

Positive reviews must be from fake sources!

An engineer quoted over £1000 to replace the control panel (as he had one in the van!!) when all that was / is required was the replacement rubber strip (approx £60) and new optical sensor (approx £90).  This has been confirmed by 2 independent engineers with reports (both could not believe what works I had been quoted for and the price).  They priced me for works that did not need doing, all parts are available for next day delivery.

My wife nearly paid for this to be done as I was away as the engineer was VERY convincing, all conversations are captured on video at my property and will be used with Trading Standards

Very quick response, super quick fixing of the problem of a garage door, having been shunted out of its runners, leaving it, unopenable. Great service and reasonable price, would certainly recommend to all.
