Garage Doors Fixed (GDF) Arvostelua

Fast almost over efficient

First class support. Came out within 24 hours.

Really happy with the work done by GDF! They did a great job replacing the cones and cables on my garage door, and everything was sorted professionally. The people were lovely, friendly and easy to deal with from start to finish. Would definitely recommend them to anyone needing garage door repairs. Great service all round!

From making an initial enquiry for a quote on getting a replacement garage door on their website in the morning, my wife and I were so impressed by this company's fast response and turnaround time. Within just an hour a very good engineer arrived and fixed our worn springs and rollers by tea time the same day, and confirmed that a replacement door wasn't needed! Such a pleasure dealing with a local friendly company that's not just out to grab your money. Highly recommended 👌

He came diagnosed the fault suggested a solution was contacted by his office on price agreed price solution implemented all in les than an hour great service.

Needed a wire on grandmothers garage door replaced along with a lock in cardiff. They came out the next day which was useful but upon the office calling with a quote they said £500 with a pensioners discount, should have been £550! Was clearly not happy with this price but still had to pay the £20 call out, and then got an alternative reputable company to do it in Cardiff, who did it, the exact same job for £110. They wanted to charge 5x that. Avoid…

The new lock was fixed, a few other things got done( I was indoors), the fitter was really friendly, polite and done a.Boss job I would definitely recommend the company to my friends and.family.Ps the 20 per cent discount for over 60,s was a nice and welcome touch.

Door was fixed quickly and efficiently which was was the reason for 5 stars.
However a couple of small quibbles. I felt the cost was slightly expensive given the time it took to fix, altho it could be argued that was due to efficiency!
Otherwise, my bigger complaint was that I thought I had booked a morning appointment by phone (between 0800 and 13.00), yet heard nothing at all until phoned at 15.30 when I was informed that an engineer was now available. I fully appreciate that things don't run to plan, but I would have expected a call regarding the estimated progress of when I would be reached.

I asked for a quote for repairing the existing left hand garage door. Are you saying that is not possible to repair the mechanism? Why not?
What is the cost of a single garage door replacement? The door on the right-hand side does not need to be replaced.
Please send a brochure or photograph of the proposed replacement. I want to see whether it is compatible with right hand door, if we leave that right hand door as it is.
You have sent me two quotes with different amounts for the same job. £8782 QUO-13822 and £7,872 Quo-13820.Please explain

Really nice man who turned up to fix my garage door
Professional service would recommend to anybody

Very prompt service and problem rectified within a short time. Thanks

I was given a quote over the phone agreed to the price, although i thought very expensive, but was desperate On reading the quote that was then sent via email it was evident that i was not told that VAT would be added in addition to the oral quote. So in total to replace two spring on my door, approx. a one hour job, the cost was in excess of five hundred pounds. Needles to say i quickly canceled the order but was still obliged to pay a £20 call out fee. Incidentally sourced the springs myself for less than £80. Draw whatever conclusion you want from this review.

They were very expensive for the work. They done. The actual engineers were excellent and couldn't do more for their customer, but the actual owners of this company just ripped you off

Reliability was fine. The price was outrageous!! The engineer was with me for a maximum of half an hour. It cost £172.00. Agreed call out was £19.99 which was fine. No parts were required. He just gained access into the garage which I couldn’t manage for whatever reason, done something briefly with the mechanism and sprayed it with oil.

Required a repair to my up and over garage door. Prompt service and knowledgeable enginner reviewed what needed to be done. The quote however was £783 which included a 10% pensioners discount. I decided to go elsewhere and got the job carried out successfully by a local comapny for £264

Anthony was great, super service TQ

A great experience from the very clear and informative website to the repair which was prompt . The company communications were excellent and we are delighted getting it all done so quickly.
I would recommend to anyone
