Good experience today, left to browse until we wanted assistance, John who served us was very professional but made us feel comfortable

The lady that was telling me all about it was very helpful made sure I new everything before brought helped with paper work and was very polite very clear in speaking and explained it clearly so I new clearly all the information very happy exapearance shopping there I will use the company in the future

Furniture Village ignore the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Delivery dates are knowingly fabricated. Refunds aren't provided. There are numerous Facebook groups that are solely for Furniture Village customer issues. What sort of business thinks their service is acceptable when there are dedicated Facebook groups for poor service?

I'm having to go through Citizen's Advice/Trading Standards to get a refund for undelivered goods.

Very helpful, answered all questions, gave plenty of time to look around, even had free coffee and cookie whilst we looked around. In fact all the staff were very pleasant. It was Paul who served us today and was very good. 🙂

I have just read a review which mirrors our feelings totally, I have pasted this at the end of mine.
We went into the Furniture Village the next day after delivery of two sofas, we wanted to show pictures of the sofas which had big folds on the leather, when you recline the sofas it is uncomfortable behind your legs, The salesman agreed it looked excessive. The worry being if it’s this bad now, what will it be like in the future. we were told to contact head office, we did so to be informed they will send someone out, The upholsterer came and said it wasn’t a manufacture fault. We went back into the store again a week after receiving the suite to report nothing could be done after confirmation of this. we were told to write to one of the managers of head office, which we did, they said they would send another upholsterer out, This happened within a few days, he said the same, no manufacturers fault. We received confirmation again there was nothing that could be done. We have used Furniture Village for years, we had only had a new suite 8 years previous. this is probably our forth suite, we have had beds, dining table etc etc, we explained all of this as loyal customers but still no sympathy towards us. When we went into store both times the manager who was on when we bought the suite wouldn’t even look at us when we went back yet was enthusiastic when we were buying our suite. Here is the recent review of someone else:

No retail return or exchange policy.
Furniture Village retail stores offer no return policy whatsoever — not even an exchange. Their website advertises a 14-day return window, but this only applies to online orders and is not mentioned anywhere in-store. This distinction is not made clear at point of sale, which I consider misleading. I purchased over £2,500 of furniture in-store and have since found I have no way to return or exchange any of it. Extremely disappointing for a company of this size, and I won't be buying from them again.

UPDATE 24/7/26
The response from Furniture Village is irrelevant. They (Shanice ) are already aware of our issue , have already said there is nothing they will do to rectify and have merely referred us to the Ombudsman which we have done. This was after the shop suggested raising with escalation team. So unfortunately we remain dissatisfied customers sitting in sofas which we feel are not of an expected standard.

My sofa was delivered and assembled on Wednesday 22nd July by Simon and Ash.
I found their customer service to be of a very high standard.They were both very friendly and helpful.
I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

The staff were very pleasant and the gentleman who served me was extremely helpful and made my visit very pleasant.

Good initial welcome , Ammir on hand when assistance or information required and when he didn’t know the answer sorted assistance from elsewhere .
Very patient and transaction completed with all details explained clearly .

Awesome experience

On entry to the store, my wife and I were greeted after a few minutes by a friendly member of staff. He told us to give him a shout if we needed any help which was nice as some stores can be too pushy . We then had a browse and spotted the Gemini glider sofa. We then met Khushi who again told us if we needed any more information to just ask . He again was helpful without being pushy. We were unsure about whether the single glider chair would be too big for our space so had to go home and check. On our return Khushi completed our purchase promptly and professionally.
