Fox Moving and ICA insurers
I have been holding off reviewing Fox Moving because when we were moving I noticed some rough handling of our belongings. As you can imagine we haven't opened all boxes I would upload images of broken or damaged objects if I could.
One of the glass ceiling lamp is completely broken as in images of the marked box and the opening of the package and one lampshade is bent out of shape.
The boxes were clearly marked 'Fragile' I was handed to Fox Moving insurers whom are 'International Claims Agency' who intermediately responded saying they weren't paying because of an addendum in the contract. However I researched this and the Consumer rights act of 2015 supersedes this so the pay out which is only up to £75 (I paid £914 pound for the move), this has now became a matter of principle as the insurer has who's director a Mr Revell has not responded to my reply which include the quotes from the consumer rights act to accept any liability.
Do not use Fox moving Nor ICA insurance claims services.

We would, however, like to clarify that International Claims Agency (ICA) is an independent claims handling organisation. Any concerns regarding the handling, assessment or outcome of a claim should therefore be raised directly with ICA, and any review specifically relating to their service should also be directed to them rather than Fox Moving & Storage.
We are not able to comment publicly on the detail of an individual claim or the contractual interpretation referred to in your review. However, in our experience of working with ICA, we have always known them to handle claims professionally, independently and fairly, in accordance with the applicable terms and circumstances of each case.
We are sorry that your experience has resulted in disappointment, but we feel it is important to distinguish between the removal service provided by Fox and a subsequent decision made independently through the claims process.

I couldn’t recommend this removal company highly enough! From start to finish, they were absolutely brilliant.
A special thank you to Alison in reception, who was so accommodating, helpful and supportive throughout what was quite a stressful move. Our move dates had to be changed a few times, and Alison was always understanding, helpful and reassuring, which made such a difference.
All of the removal men were incredibly kind, respectful and careful with our belongings. They did a fantastic job dismantling beds and wardrobes at the old property and then reassembling everything at the new house. Nothing was too much trouble, and they worked so hard to make the whole process as smooth as possible.
A special shout-out to Dave, who came out of retirement to help pack the vans — what a pro! He organised everything so well and clearly knew exactly what he was doing. We were so grateful for his help.

more than disappointed I feel violated.…
Having spent £8000 with this company and been loyal it was rewarded by zero. My intellectual property as a creative was damaged missing and I felt violated and if my work is plagurised legal action will happen. In terms of my items furniture and personal effects were damaged and the staff one man and the son Mr Fox was not nice , rude and demeaning Was going to make a claim but waiting to see whether this firm have been involved in a media theft of IP. Mrs Fox was a delight as was her daughter great attitude so polite sadly her son was not. This experience will stay with me forever because my personal effects meant so much to me in terms of my creative works. Her son comes to the area I now live in and I am soon to move to England where I hope to never come across this level of front.

This was a simple job - collection of 20 m3 of wrapped furniture & boxes from a storage container, transport 17 miles to house with ample parking and good access. Other companies prevaricated and overpriced. 10T truck, 2 men - job completed in 3 hours. Easy money.

I’m extremely disappointed with the…
I’m extremely disappointed with the service provided by Fox Moving. What was sold as a full-service move turned into a series of issues that caused significant stress, inconvenience and additional expense for my family.
The move dates were disrupted, resulting in an unexpected one-week gap that required temporary accommodation. On arrival, I was then informed that unpacking, which I understood to be part of the agreed service, would not be carried out. This left our home full of boxes, creating both disruption and a genuine safety concern for our young toddler.
There was also damage to several items, including wardrobe components, shelving and ornaments, along with missing parts that rendered some furniture unusable. To make matters worse, a desk and wardrobe were left unassembled, with missing screws and components not provided.
The standard of packing and labelling was poor. Dirty shoes were packed on top of clothing, a toilet brush was packed alongside hats, and fragile computer monitors were boxed with minimal protection. Labelling was inconsistent, making unpacking far more difficult than it needed to be. In contrast, another removal company involved in the move (Spires) provided an excellent service and even commented on the poor packing standards they observed from Fox.
Despite specifically requesting floor protection due to recently cleaned carpets, very little protection was used. Furniture protection was also inadequate, with blankets simply thrown over items rather than proper wrapping being used.
Overall, the combination of scheduling issues, incomplete service, damaged items, poor packing standards and lack of communication has left us extremely disappointed. I am still awaiting a satisfactory resolution to these issues. I would not recommend based on my experience.

Arrived on time and really got on with the job, completing the removal efficiently effectively and with consideration. Really pleasant team who were professional, respectful and hard working. Dismantelling of large items (paid for) well handled with no difficulty.
Storage for three weeks as expected.
The move into new build, again prompt and efficient. Team leader same as outward move brought good continuity and was very helpful with a cheery and positive disposition. Good to see a familiar face and makes a difference on a stressful day. This team let down by some negativity from one member of staff who moaned about the reconstruction.
Some minor damage to one or two items, nothing major.
Overall a good experience and a company I would use again.
