Almost 45 minutes on hold trying to get through to this company. Turn up unannounced. No other way of contacting them. Awful company

Damp and mould team have been absolutely fantastic.
Dan the supervisor and simi called to check it wss OK to come out was their within the hour booked the repair for 5 days later.
Martin and Sophie attended and removed all the old plaster and replaced adding damp proofing Sophie plastering is absolutely perfection for me with OCD it's absolutely perfect. Was completed within the time scale aswell. They cleaned up all mess which was made. Dan came out each day to check on progress and if I was happy
Booked the skirting board to be done the following day where Paul and Pete came out on time measured got stuck in was complete within the hour. Absolutely brillaint work all round extremely happy with the work seeing as I've been struggling with the fortem repairs team to have this sorted since my leak in march. So the quick turn around from the damp and mould team was amazing and really reassuring ! Highly recommend this team.

Stonewater obviously took a low bid from this shower.

There one lovely guy the rest seem like dumb 3x they been to my property to fix radiator yes frist time was to see the damage and see what can do to fix the damage, but they come look and say nope we can't we rebook so no work done and wasted my tim, it seem never ending story with fortem bunch idoit who don't seem to do anything.

What a waste of time this company is.. Not got the time or energy to go into it.. But trust me.. Don't use them if you have a choice...

Awful property management, left me with no working hot water for almost 2 months over winter, and a leak in my bathroom for 3 weeks until it got fixed. No care for their tenants whatsoever

The company does not have the capacity to upkeep a reliable service to meet the needs and requirements of Birmingham City.

Something is seriously wrong with the company... Management maybe... quality is substandard...lacking sub contractors... care my a'rse.. bitten off more than you can chew more like

Birmingham city council need new contractors!
They don’t turn up don’t call and if they do turn up they avoid doing the work .
They couldn’t organise a P up in a brewery!
Problems seem to be the carpenters!
Who are rude anyway.

I just completed a 2 week work experience with Fortem, Birmingham. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I’m really grateful for the time and help given to me. I saw an extremely positive side to Fortem in what is a challenging industry. I’d highly recommend any Tradespeople consider Fortem, Birmingham as a prospective employer.

Absolutely shocking company, most of there staff don't even know how do the job, I reported a leak over two months ago, what a surprise they sent someone out with a toilet seat to fix it, the workmen was actually really nice which makes a change, he sorted it all for the actual plumber ( he's shocking anyway) and then they constantly cancel appointments. They shouldn't have such big contracts if they cant fulfill them. Or actually get some good tradesmen on board. Once again Bob the builder company failed

Absolutely disgusting customer service. They were supposed to come and replace a garden gate. Appointment moved forward to next day. No notice given . And as I work full time could not change my shift or day off. Had to cancel and change appointments. The next time they were due to come the same thing happened again, brought the Appointment forward to the next day, again not convenient due to work but managed to change my shift. Lo and behold they came out only to say he was only given an hour to fo the job and it wasn't long enough. Called his office to say it was booked in for the 4th anyway and it would be done this day. Guaranteeing me that the appointment would not be changed. So the 4th came. No one from Fortem came. Rang them up. Well what would you know the appointment has been changed to September now! Apparently they tried calling but "customer could not hear me". Didn't bother ringing back.You try complaining via email. You get " I can see its been booked for September ". !!!!!

No explanation. No apology. Zilch.
Whenever Fortem come (or supposedly come) to do a job they never have the parts they need on their van or it needs to be re booked or they are a no show.

Birmingham City Council need new contractors. These clowns are paid alot of money for very easy job!

Only giving one star because there is no option to give one!! Supposed to come out and fix a leak in our bathroom today between 12 and 5pm. Got a voicemail, as I was at work this morning,as people have to! From Steve who said his plumber had rang in sick today and they would now come on Tuesday. I've spoke to Steve and had quite afew emails from him and I think I can say without a shadow of doubt he is a liar. I was told by a bloke that came out to another problem we had (because we have lots) that when the time hits 3pm on any given day they will ring and say the workman isn't coming because he's been called out to an emergency. Absolute shambles!! Meanwhile we sit around waiting for people who never turn up. Nottingham community housing association use these people. We are very unfortunate to rent a house from them and who use this company (FORTEM) for their repairs.
As a result the repairs very rarely happen. And NCHA couldn't give a damn as long as they get their rent every month.

the 1 job been ongoing for 6 months again we're supposed to come today phoned to say operative who was supposed to come out had the hinges on his van but he's off today UMM why send me a text yesterday to say they would attend today if he's off,now yet another appointment given for tomorrow I won't hold my breath they think tenants have no life at all and can just sit in and wait when they know they have no intention of coming out.
Unfortunately if fortem lose the contract the new company will normally keep the same staff so nothing changes
Other neighbors having exactly the same problems fortem cannot keep up with the amount of repairs Birmingham city council tenants are reporting.

yet again I was promised faithfully by Benson from fortem that operative Steven would be out today 3.8.23 to finally repair the front door Benson has just phoned to say that Steven is on leave and won't be coming out till Monday 7.8.23 between 8 to 1pm I won't hold my breath

I have never felt so stressed out fortem was ment to lay a new kitchen floor and sort the crumbering wall and the mould in my kitchen they are the worst repair company I have ever had to deal with they cancelled the repair 4 times with the worst excuses ever why they couldn't do the wall and the floor they then come out to do the floor I have never seen a floor bodged up so bad its already coming up and it looks like a cowboy builder has layed it I'm not impressed and all the man was doing was sitting in his van I have now had to get someone to come and look at the repair jobs they do and they where in shock it's been putting alot my stress on me and my family I have never felt so let down

Had some fun and learnt alot more than i thought i would, i enjoyed working there.

It was wonderful to see the enthusiasm shown by the three apprentices even though it was pouring with rain on the day, once Bill had shown them what he wanted doing they really got stuck into the work along with Yvette ,there wasn't any moaning from anyone during the whole time they were there , working or having something to eat and drink. we have asked if its possible to have more help again at a later date and it was wonderful that all of the apprentices stated that the were more than willing to come and help again i feel that they enjoyed the banter that was going on. the food on offer might have had something to do with it LoL.
The next time that we have these apprentices one an apprentice electrician, the other two apprentice bricklayers, we have said they will be treated to a full cooked English breakfast. Both Bill and Myself look forward to meeting them all again. They are a credit to FORTEM and their parents. Ron Lees.

The people I would complete jobs with were considerate and helpful to my experience.

Learned a lot and got good information about the job but was some difficulties with my switching employers and waiting long in the office

Patrick was such a kind, genuine, happy guy who came to fix our fridge late on a Friday evening. He called us to let us know how long he would be and when to expect him. He was within the time parameter set by Longhurst. Got the job done quickly, safely and respected the environment. Genuinely great service, which you don't often receive these days!

Just completed my work experience with fortem great company very friendly staff and would love to see a future career with this company
