had my annual gas service which found 2 leaks in boiler and unable to fill boiler up as valves to fill boiler also leaked this was reported back to fortem by the engineer Fortem did call and arrange an appointment to have these faults fix but true to form this appointment was missed have tried phoning them but no-one answers the phone reported it to council who raise an appointment only for fortem to cancel it no phone call to myself now got a faulty boiler which I can't get fixed how every they got the contract for the council is beyond belief more cowboys than Indians customer service appalling

In my years of living in Lambeth council flat. I have never come across such incompetence and lack of professionalism from some of the contractors. Out of three contractors only one was nice and professional who treated me and my house with respect.

I felt very disappointed with some of the staff attitude to their work, they acted like they were forced to come to work. Taking personal calls and talking about their business with no regards to other in the house, sitting in their cars and clocking hours of doing nothing.

Complaining about home improvement and how they cannot touch or repair what was not fitted by the council. As if people who live in council flats are not entitled to improve their living environment.

They have a stereo type or idea of what council tenants house should look like, nothing should be aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Talking down at tenants, i cannot imagine how they treat people who do not know their rights or English not being their first language.

I have always done my repairs privately less like in this situation where I have no access to the main water tank hence why I have Fortum and Lambeth doing the repair. Otherwise I would never call them to my house again.

The work was not done because of bird mess and nesting that has covered the water tank to residences. That in itself is a health and safety issues. We pay service charge and the maintenance should be looking after that area.

My repair was postponed due to these issues two days out of hour no outcome, but if I do not pay Lambeth rent they write to me about possession of their property.

I work and I have taken time out of work three time and still no outcome achieved. No regards for people who work, I work just like they do, they wouldn't like it if someone did that to them.

As a NHS worker I could be saving lives, instead i am sitting around all day waiting on Lambeth repair and Fortum their contractor.
I pay my rent and Lambeth as a lord lord should be ashamed of themselves. This is what happens when you get cheap contractors, you get what you pay for.

I have gone without with a bathroom that is out of function for six day. I am having to shower in the gym absolutely disgusting.

My feedback to Fortum is train your staff some basic manners in how they deal with people, customer care is very important or get feedback from customers to monitor your contractors quality of work. This way you will get those bad apples out because they are ruining your reputation and those who actually do their work with excellence and significance.

I am not interested in staff's personal life or feelings towards the organisation. I just want the job done to the best of their abilities and with respect.

very very disappointed with fortem it’s near to impossible to get through to them on the phone just as you do someone will cut you off, they booked an appointment for me and gave me the window time between 1pm and 6pm and guess what as usual no one showed up! I did not go to work as this was important, the council are shooting themselves in the foot hiring a cheap cowboy company which doesn’t do any work. What can you expect anyway the council only think about lining their own pockets selfish pigs

The past three days of i have been at fortem i learned a lot of thing i wouldn't of have at college. And the people who work there are very friendly to me and tenants, the only bad i would really say is that not everyone is uncoordinated and is told different things that make the employees and the tenants a bit confused obout the dates of when they should be expected and are not given a heads up on if something scheduled has changed date.

Terrible , have had a repair now cancelled 3 times , when i spoke to one of the agents (Justin) over the phone he yawned loudly over the phone and kept putting me on hold. Terrible company. So far been well over a month for work to be done.

I gave 4 stars last time for effect after waiting for a small bathroom window to replace winder. After been messed around it was finally repaired though it took the worker a full day job from morning to dusk! Now my bedroom window the sash is broken cannot open. Two appointments and two let down twice on each occasion they phoned and casually say we not coming. The last operator I spoken to on 15 June I inform her that I going to report this to Lambeth council as this is the second appointment that has been cancelled and her answer were Yeah go and do that!!! I said to this operator from Fortem as it is summer my bedroom get very hot and need the window open as I suffer from Asthma and it is making it worst.The rude arrogant woman from Fortem said this is nothing to do with us go to your doctor words to that affect. Well my dear it is a lot to do with your company and guess what that’s to repair the window to get air into the room! She should choose her words carefully because she was no spring chicken herself health issues could happen to anyone. Her voice was so aggressive I would walk the opposite side of the road if I heard that voice! The administration staff and their contractors are suited to each other as this company employs low class people this company do not recognise the meaning of obligation!! Was told the next appointment which will be the 3rd appointment will be on 30 June 2023. My dear lady from Fortem I work for NHS full time I wasted two days of annual leave so cautious with your words!
UPDATE
Within weeks the winder unit has been detaching from the wall. He was not capable to ensured that it was secured to the wall properly!! I also noted straight away the winder to the unit was wonky!! Now I cannot open window and unit loose from wall. Unprofessional why can’t Fortem send qualified contractors. I will need to phone Lambeth council again!!! I knew he was not qualified took him one whole day from dawn to dusk!

Can’t thank Tyler from NCHA enough my grandmother was locked in her flat and due to previous failed visits from previous repairs I had my doubt and attended my grandmothers flat

He climbed in through the window removed the front door and took apart the strip where all the locks are and replaced certain parts of it it’s like a brand new door and he was so polite and kind and explained to me and my grandmother what he was doing and had a laugh and a giggle with my grandmother which really made her day.

After reading through some of these reviews Fortem do actually have the odd golden egg.

I am really disappointed by the lack of service that I have received. I have been waiting for my boiler to be fixed in Birmingham. I have not had hot water since the 24th May 2023 (my boiler floods when it is switched on). Fortem has said they have come out on 2 separate occasions (and also cancelled one visit), which is a lie as I have been inside and also on the phone to Birmingham city council when they have said to come out. I have also taken time of work for the these visits which has impacted my working life.
They have now given me a new date of the 13th June 2023.
I do not know what I am meant to do for hot water and have a daughter that comes to my house and she has no access to hot water.

The service is terrible. I do not recommend fortem. I really wish Birmingham City council did not use this contractor.

I am really in disbelief on how long it's taking fortem to come out and fix my intercom system, I have reported the repair to birmingham city council and have waited a total of 21days no phones calls to book the repair, delivery people that come to my address cannot get in to deliver my parcels, I am disabled and should not have through this

Did work experience with them was very good

It was good going around the property and seeing how my mentor does his job. Also learning good life lessons from my mentor

Constant cancelled appointments job raised in January we are heading towards June and the job has still not been done certainly not best practice more like bad practices 😞

Almost every year my gas servicing by this company and as their former name 'Wilmcote dixon' does not go without issue. So far starting with the 03/05/2023, I've had a appt for 13:00-18:00 only for engineer to show up @16:00 ask if we have a gas fire? Then to say he doesn't have time to complete service as he finishes at 4:30pm. He said call Fortem to make a new appt. He sat out in his van for a while after. We walked off to the lounge to call Fortem but no one answered the phone! On walking back by the front door we find a sorry we missed you card with a new time. We received a letter in the post dated 03/05/2023 (computer generated) admittedly but still a unfair system, warning us for missing our appt and that now the 23/05/2023 will be the 2nd attempt to service...blah blah blah, if we miss it ...threats of fines etc. I called Fortem on the 15/05/2023 as I needed to have a a.m. not a problem.m. appt, I make a complaint whilst I'm at it, explaining to J#*k (the operator) that I wish to complain and I appreciate he is just there to take my details but who do I complaint to? What happens next. The nice man changes ghe appt to a morning, same day. NO DATE ON LETTER...HOUSING ACT 1985 SECTION 54, THREATS OF FINES AND FORCED ENTRY ON 06/06/2023!! Called 01216754247 as provided on the letter to talk to Mr J@×f B*?l. Number nolonger in use. Called 01213031111, Birmingham city council number, got put through rep for Fortem complaints. 2 options for annual gas service or boiler repair...press either..it repeats continuously as set on a loop. No-one to talk to. Disgusting.

They don’t even deserve any stars but it was the only way I could leave my feedback.
So glad that they have lost their contact with Pa housing, hopefully other organisations that they have contracts with will follow suit.

Their drivers don't know the difference between a slip road and regular lane. Driver of van BK 22 in Salford nearly hit me then thought he was a big man swearing. Share he declined my offer to pull over the coward

Absolute clowns, doing renovations on our bungalows, took roof off and have left it off, came home late last friday night to a drenched carpet and sofa, water p*****g through the ceiling light fitting in the living room, rang the emergency line, the bloke that answered was completely gormlous and didnt know what to do and didnt say much so i rang our council who then spoke to the same bloke and threatened to bill them If they didnt send an emergency electrician, the bloke on the phone agreed to send one out so i waited by this time it was gone midnight, got a phonecall From the electrician who was rude and i think he was in bed and sounded put out, he said well If you dont use the light it will be ok, after umming and arring he said he would come out and put the phone down on me, he came and didnt even switch the light off at the fusebox he said oh its bypassed it dont use it it'll be dry by tomorrow, went to bed and got upto it leaking again, ive had no apology or anything, they just dont seem bothered that my carpet stinks and is ruined theyre doing everything in their power not to pay me for a new carpet the liason officer even said it doesnt look a cheap carpet and keeps telling me to move my sofa for 1 to 2 weeks for the sofa to dry out, too late for that the carpet is still damp and it stinks because the underlay is wet, absolute clowns!!!

Utter inhumane scum, Boiler went on fire on Friday, was told "what is right to repair?", absolute morons. Told they couldn't come out to the following Friday, breaking the right to repair legislation, have had rude, lying uncooperative phone answers, last one wouldn't even give me his name. No show from plumber, no one cares, 3 under 5's in a mold riddled flat. Now told you will have to wait to Tuesday. Disgusting excuses for human beings.

I did a week's work experience at Fortems, you really get out of it what you put in, you gain an understanding of the company and its values.

I had a session for the repair person to come to my flat at 18:00 and they sent me text 17:45 that they are here and a minute later said that we missed you.
Now I spoke to a woman that I would only be able to get there at 18:00 and she agreed so why did they decide to come earlier.
So now I have to go through all this unprofessional business with this company again and I just want this problem sorted.

My son did some work experience for the company. It was very helpful to the course he is looking to get into in college.
He enjoyed his time with them and learnt both practical and interpersonal skills. Much appreciated time given to him
