i was informed about annual gas safety check tried to phone to cancel appointment I was on phone over a week trying to phone no one ever answered, then the engineer turned up I explained we had hospital appointments and we couldn't get through, so another appointment was made, next thing is a letter saying 2nd attempt a complete lie, but an appointment was made for 25th June so a full day wasted no one turned up no one answered the phone I'm a diabetic so meals important I can't cook a meal because I don't know if they are going to turn up at 1800, so all afternoon I've waited all to no avail so what next a card suddenly posted through the letter box or just another out and out lie,

Extremely poor management and customer skills.
Been waiting 2 years for a roof repair, had 7 roofers out, 1 even started the job 6 months ago never to return. Had to employ a solicitor to try and resolve the damage.

So we’ve had mould and damp all over our flat for years and with one ring a lovely worker named Sarah came out and sorted it all out for us with lovely customer satisfaction and easy to understand details as to the work she was carrying out.

An absolute useless company, full of false promises and lies, since 22/04/2024 to present 13/06/2024 I have been promised that a new shower screen which is unsafe and not working as it should would be fixed on no more than 6 occasions.
22/04/2024, 25/04/2024, 13/05/2024, 16/05/2024, 06/06/2024, 13/06/2024, this seems to be the norm with fortem, no wonder Birmingham City Council went broke paying this company 170 million over 2 years to carry out repairs, that they cannot do,as their employees are unfit for purpose and management telling them to and I quote ," bodge a job up as customer won't know"
Well fortunately I would know having spent nearly 40 Years in construction/building .around the world,
It is shocking that they can get away with promising to do a job and then not being able to carry it out, or are they paid by dates rather than job completion.

Absolutely disgusting company. Sending threatening letters to residents stating that if you don't stay in all day on a given date (the given date being wrong!!!) it will negatively effect your tenancy. Even though they have absolutely NO LEGAL RIGHT so to do.
If you call them you will be treated like you are scum of the earth. Call handlers are rude, aggressive and disingenuous. Making threats and telling you that you have "misunderstood" the letter, even though it could not possibly be construed in any other way.
If you work for this company, get a new job. If you are ever offered the services of this company, just say no.

I just had a vulgar man coming to my flat to repair a problem with my sockets. He had no customer service and was not paying attention when I talked and tried to explain what was wrong with the sockets. After he looked at the jobs, I could see he was reluctant, he went and switched the electricity off without my knowledge, when I noticed that I said to him that he should tell me if he was going to do that, that is just courtesy. Then he told me that he could not stay and rebook the job again. Then I got really upset because that was not the first time that men came to repair something and said that it had to be rebooked. He got angry but I said to him that when I called I asked what was wrong so why not bring what you needed for the appointment instead of rebooking again and again? when he left he was angry saying that his English was not good because I could not understand what he was saying so he got upset and just walked off. I told him not to come back to my flat as he was rude. He was just walking off, not looking back or answering. What has the world come into? I am really upset and disgusted by the service.

I would like to thank Dan from the Birmingham damp and mould team for facilitating a forced entry to my property. DESPITE me reporting a leak multiple times over several months, and fortem not turning up for appointments. DESPITE me giving access multiple times at unscheduled appointments for them to make botched repairs. Its only fair that they kicked my door in with no notice to fix a pipe that they had pretended to fix less than a month before. It warms my heart that Birmingham City Council staff fight so hard to cover up this abuse and incompetence, even if they can't string a sentence together, answer the phone or bother to carry out investigation. Yes Fortem are a repair company but who says they need to fix things, maybe they identify as incompetent, disrepectful and lazy trades people and we should support that. I work for the NHS and it is hard for me to get time off and they think it's okay for my to waste my annual leave waiting for them to not turn up!

So, fair’s fair - after previous absolutely dismal experiences with this company and extremely low expectations Paul Thomas (Birmingham Gas Engineer) attended today. He was only scheduled to recommission my boiler after a long overdue roof repair but when I mentioned I had a boiler repair booked for tomorrow he said he’d try & do it today. He did so despite it being late in the day & with a cheery yet professional manner.

Been out 6 times with 5 different men ,what a joke ,that never fix it ,saying this part ,that part ,total lies ,that just won't to keep coming out coz that gets paid ,that don't give a dam ,if I tried that just once I'd be sacked ,boiler still don't work ,what the hell is going on with this discusting company ,sauce um all ,get real engineers in to do the job proply ,that's one reason our poll tax is going up coz ov cowboy company like these, discusting,

just wanted to give you well deserved feedback for the contractor Omar who has undertaken a repair to my skirten boards in my bedroom today 10/05/24.

Omar is an excellent Tradesman, he is extreamly professional and his work is outstanding. Omar was also very clean & tidy during and after the work was compleated.

I continue to be happy with Fortem contractor's.

I'd like to praise and thank Daren, Leo and Paul from the damp and mold team Fortem Birmingham for their amazing service
They were very professional workers and did a fantastic job. They explained everything to us step by step and I really appreciated that. They were courteous and enthusiastic, I really loved how they worked. Daren, Leo and Paul are the perfect workers to represent the company
I hope they will all be promoted for their hard work

Sick to death of the people who work for tortem especially them that take the repair request ...they are so rude why on earth do we let them get away with it .....You're expecting a fortem worker to come and look at an outside job . Expecting a knock .. there's no knock but you recieve a disgusting call off a female worker telling you oh our operative attended but no one was in . When I replied well that's a lie I've been in all morning painting in the kitchen .. the reply .." look do you want this repair done or not "? I was merely pointing out the lie about knocking my door .....Are you calling me a liar ? Reply from the person on the phone ....no I said that whoever said they knocked my front door was a liar . As they do this all too often and then it gets recorded as no one in which is very disengenous . And from the way they ( this lady in particular ) talk to you like you're dirt I.e ...." look do you want this job done or not "? I've had it with them ...and I shall be putting in s complaint that's if you're even allowed to complain ....

Noticed water in hallway and quickly realised the boiler was leaking. Called Fortem Repairs with anxiety ramping up to next level..trauma from past experiences with Fortem.
After 10 minutes a Fortem van pulled up. I thought they were going to next door. Then he knocked my door. I nearly fell off my chair. Entered Lionel with his tools and hey presto all sorted.
Never have I experienced such efficiency.Thank you Lionel for fixing my boiler.

They are crap. They always lie to ppl saying know one in the property and yet you in doors from 7am and still have to bare face lie on the phone. My boiler was faulty and for 2 stinking years know one came to replace it.. another neighbour had no heat and water for over two years.. I now have a problem with my boiler and plug socket and watch them say someone be out.. Best thing to do is report them to central news and its the only way as they messing with ppl time...

I've had brilliant team come take good care of my property. I couldn't be more happier with the overall work. Dan the manager,
Darren, Scott ,Sarah, Sofia, and Oneil could have been a few others I didn't get their names. From me and my kids we want to say a massive thank you xx

Cowboy builders. Leave you house a mess and unsafe environment. Work men are rude and half of them are on day realise from prison and happy to shout it and tell everyone they work with from the roof of my house. Hull City Council really know how too pick the worst from the bunch of builders. CHEAPER THE BETTER!!

The work to fit my new shower yesterday was top notch. Very polite friendly helpful chaps that came and done it, cleaned up all mess and made me feel at ease. I am extremely grateful and would highly recommend this company. Again thank you so much.

Shocking service. The call centre doesn't seem to know what they are doing. Some of the workers are rude. They arrange dates but don't show up, then arrange another and still don't show up. The rent goes up but the repairs don't get done.

Internal and external leaks for over a year. internal leaks were stopped bath was taken out on the 10th of February. It’s now the 26th of February. Still no Bath is still no shower fitted for him booked in a roofer and he cancelled so they didn’t have the ladders but there is scaffolding up so no ladders are needed, the external leak is still going and due to the bad weather is going to continue to leak into my sons room who is severely ill and for him just keep rebooking it and the roofer keeps cancelling it rebooking for someone else now the 26th of February have been enough to bath or shower me or my son think that’s acceptable between them and Birmingham City Council. This is an absolute joke. I have water coming through my ceiling and my walls into my bathroom and my sons bedroom which has been going on for over a year

Disgraceful company to do any repairs bodge job. Rude obnoxious men work for them. One builder turned up half hour late then was persistently rude said multiple rude phrases because he wanted to go home I presume 'ive been out since 6:30 doing ten jobs i didn't have to come to this job im furious they have sprung this on to me' asked me 'Do you understand'
