New door after 6 months

Had an issue with my toilet flush. Steve A. was assigned the job. Had run out of parts. Went to the local store. Great communication - kept me updated and came and fixed the issue. Friendly, professional and efficient. Well done Steve A. Keep it up!

Absolute joke of a company. Years of ordering repairs and having them lie saying they have attended when they haven't.. You order a repair, wait in between 8-12 only to be told at 12 that they might come between 12-5 and then they don't.

I have chased today and been told a note on the system states they have started the job.... I explained no body is here.

Heck we've had plumbers in the past turn up and not fix the leak and more damage was done.

You end up giving up on repairs, maybe it's there intentions

Cowboys, they never do any work
just show up so it shows their vans been here on GPS then mark jobs as complete

We had severe damp in 3 rooms due to a bad leak in our bathroom. The above team sorted it out for us in 2 weeks while we were rehoused in a hotel from 4/11/24 to 15/11/24.
The team were brilliant and went above and beyond to make sure everything was sorted out. Very happy with the work and Sofia the operative who carried out most of the work was really good. She worked really hard. Thank you.

A Fortem agent cam to my property to fix damp in 3 of my rooms. I.had not removed bags from one of the rooms. He refused to carry out a repair even though the other rooms were ready. He was so unreasonable and rude. Told me he got other jobs to do. I asked him to do the other rooms while I removed the bags and he kept going back and forth with me refusing to do his job. He refused to give me his name or his ID even though he was in my property. Please hire people who love their jobs not rude people who are lazy. I'm reporting to Birmingham City Council again.

i was told they would repair my boiler but no they say the repairman sick or they turn off my gas so no heat or hot water plus im 61 and so cold please someone help

Had to write this after reading all the bad feedback.I moved into this property in 1996 & immediately discovered a leak under the bath. Fast forward to 23/10/24. Hundreds,yes hundreds of visits, no shows, taking photos,phone calls & nothing! 28 years!!!! The downstairs tenants have had enough, their bathroom ceiling has collapsed-badly. I am disabled, my property is full of mould-rain leaking in, roof tiles should have been lifted & new felt put on many years ago. I give up. My home used to be a palace, not any more, i give up. If they don't care then either do i now, it can fall down around my ears, sod 'em.

Boiler broke on Saturday 23rd August. It has taken 28 days so far and J still have no hot water, a no show appointment to fix it yesterday and no call from the complaints department who were "definitely" calling me today. Totally and utterly sick of this company whose tagline is "people who care". I say, as a company, you could not care less.

As the title suggests, the only decent thing about this company is when they leave.
A site manager who loves to argue and would no doubt create some nonsense to disagree that the sky is blue.
Absolutely shoddy work to the extent I'd have more faith in Bob the Builder completing any work on my house as opposed to these bunch of cowboys.
And as for the slogan being 'Fortem - People who care'. Hilarious. The only people they care about is themselves and covering up the bodged jobs they do whilst ruining people's homes and causing unnecessary stress!

My Electric shower has packed up completely, keeps tripping the rcd in the consumer board! I phoned my housing association, Longhurst, immediately who got onto Fortem who phoned me with the earliest date they could come out to repair,28/08/24,thats 2 weeks with no shower, I dont have a bath.I complained this was unacceptable so after fixing that date they put me down for any cancellation that may happen. I received phone call on Monday telling me they will be out on the Tuesday afternoon with a new shower to replace it between 12 noon and 5 pm. I received phonecall at 3:50 telling me they wouldn’t be coming today as their man has got held up on a job. The earliest they can come out now is 13/09/24 Thats a month with no shower! Totally unacceptable!

Absolutely horrendous company, I am being brutally honest, they are the absolute scum of the earth.
Fortem working for stonewater in Bournemouth, you're a useless bunch, always parked up chatting on phones doing not a lot. Turn up to properties, sit in van, chat on phone for half an hour
Speak to anyone living in a social housing home like a 3rd class citizen when in reality apart from the very few skilled tradespeople you employ such as the 2 plumbers and 1 carpenter ( only a few mind to save on the £££) , the rest are unqualified and young enough to be paid on the cheap!
Rude and obnoxious call staff and the level of workmanship is sewer grade level of incompetent.
Another company that literally could care one iota about anyone or anything except the £££ rolling in.
Cheap, cheap cheap and boy oh boy does it show.
Despite being a tenant and therfore not responsible for doing or paying for repairs that may arise in the property I dont report repairs anymore, I pay indipendant, qualified and competent tradespeople so I can avoid any interaction with this shambolic and quite frankly dangerous company.
Can only hope somone does something so severely wrong ( from experience it seems certain to happen at sone point) they're shut down and we can all sleep easier at night.
Anyone or organisation considering employing fortem to undertake maintenance in thier properties - if you want cheap and don't value a decent job being done - you've got it

I was unfortunate to work for Fortem solutions for around 6 months prior to my retirement in 2019, This came about after my previous employer ( Mears ) lost its contract.
After spending close to 35 years working in the social housing sector mainly in a supervisory role and dealing with a multitude of sub contractors and feel the need to inform those considering a career with this Fortem to think long and hard about employment with this dreadful company,
I will not elaborate any further as why you should stay clear but for your sanity and wellbeing please do so.

god awful takes them actual months to even start a repair, the workers arent even for their specialization, i.e they wont send out a plumber but a painter or plaster to fix a plumbers jobs and will fail at it meaning you will have to give them another call 20 times over until they send a plumber. and they will literally rebook jobs at the last second on the day they're supposed to come and then rebook for a month later 3 times over for something that is a pretty easy fix for them. come on get it together absolutely useless

I’m from Swindon and I have had lots of work done today by Jack and Adrian. Both have worked so hard! I would like to say how amazing Adrian is.. I can’t thank him enough for today. Absolutes Top bloke. Thank you, you are amazing. Such a hard working guy! Some staff should take a leaf out of his book!

Clowns run the company, slandering peoples names only care about their wage packet not the customers or staff that are treated badly maybe they need different management and not to bully people, very childish company and management

Do not communicate with tenants regarding their issues or problems.

I was employed for 2 years as a carpenter multi I booked annual leave over Christmas well in advance. during my leave period the out of hours spreadsheet was modified and included me in despite being on annual leave. My manager and his chimp then left me a disgusting voice mail calling me C#$t pr|ck and worse personal insults and if I don’t do the call outs I will have to go. I raised a grievance with M.D who did not take my grievance seriously and no action was taken against the toxic managers. Upon leaving hr called and apparently they were completely unaware I had a grievance because M.D swept it all under carpet treating me like a lower class citizen Absolutely terrible company to work for AVOID

Also rang me Thursday to ask if the plumber could come to do the taps said he's 13 mins away i said yes fine didn't show disgusting service always has been they do a job then have 2 come bk to do same job again me myself would never employ these company 😡😡
