Sarah the painter did an amazing job.
She never rushed but took her time and made everything look perfect.

Ethan from Fortem came to our home today to fix a socket and light pendant, he considerate,courteous and very good at cleaning up any mess.
He explained what he was going to do, showed me the completed work and made sure we were happy with it.
We used to have Fosters to do the maintenance for CHS but the change to fortem has been a good one for electrical work.

Put scaffolding up , left me with no TV satellite dish has been covered so no signal , they knew about it , they said oh well then left , noone in sight today , so I'm left without a TV which I need due to household health reasons sort it please today

We had Dave from the mould and damp team come into the property Wednesday last week to do a check of the issues and he was absolutely amazing at explaining everything to us that would need to be done. He came back today to do the treatment and he was so quick and efficient with his work. He took his time to explain to us how to help prevent the mould in the future and ways that we can improve the property.

I couldn’t thank Dave enough for all his help today, he’s superb and such a great guy. He is the best of the best and if you are lucky enough to have Dave for your work then you are in the best hands ever.

My experience with Fortem has been absolutely appalling. The standard of work is unacceptable, communication is poor, and customer care is virtually non-existent.

The individual I dealt with most—Tony—was rude, pushy, and frankly unpleasant to deal with. His attitude was dismissive and unprofessional, showing zero respect or empathy for the disruption and stress caused in my home.

Fortem has demonstrated a complete disregard for tenant wellbeing, and I would strongly urge others—especially housing associations—to rethink working with them unless major improvements are made.

Fortem working on behalf of Birmingham City Council, are an absolute joke, made three appointments with me and never kept any of them. My repair was made via Birmingham's elderly services, obviously I'm elderly and disabled and can't access my bath for a shower. They just keep letting me down. My advice contact your MP and ask for help to get your issue resolved. I have before and it works, and I've done so now. I have zero confidence in the trades or their hapless management.

They just don't turn up, the quality of work varies from ok to abysmal when they do turn up. They have cancelled for third time. I alter my life for them to attend. Waste of my time.

Fortem is not worth one star they are a company that makes a appointment through Birmingham city council thinks nothing of not keeping appointments even though l waited in all day when l phone to ask why they did not make the appointment they hang up on me after being on the phone sometimes for 30-40 minutes.
Sometimes fortem say they arrived when they did not then they threaten me with a fine for not being home when they said they came even though l was home all day.
Not a company to Trust.
Why they still have the contract with Birmingham city council who knows.

Sarah and Steve have done a fantastic job on my bedroom that was full of mould all walls and ceiling they move out all my large furniture that I couldn't because of my disability my room is now a brilliant white after many coats of paint and put my furniture back and they were lovely n friendly

After constant job cancellations & incomplete work i had Dave Lynch come to my property & seen the mould & straight away got too it. Being heavily pregnant he even went above & beyond & moved things with care as I was unable to lift anything myself. He cleaned the area thoroughly & was so professional & I sat in the garden due to the fumes. He left the area clean & tidy & overall I am so happy its finally been fixed after constant cancellations & lies from others since 2020. Amazing work & very professional! Overall top bloke thankyou so much for even plugging my washing machine back in 👌 I finally feel like someone done their job for once! & can not worry that the damp/ black mould will make me & the baby sick amazing man deserves a pay rise! Thankyou again

Every year they say I'm not in when they come to do a Gas check . I'm disabled , I don't go out unless it's an appointment. I've been ringing and ringing . I'm currently trying to get through and I've been waiting for 1.32.07 . Fed up. .......

Reported a leak under the kitchen sink and had to keep emptying a bucket, I was told on the Monday they would come on Friday afternoon, I knew they wouldn't bother and was proved right with a phone call at 4.10 saying they wouldn't be able to make it and my next appointment would be the following Thursday. Why not Monday ? Terrible service . It will be almost two weeks for a simple essential repair ,that's if they bother turning up !

I was at my sons to wait in for his repairs as he suffers with anxiety and depression, he finds it hard having people in his flat .
We had first visit was by Simon to plaster a bedroom wall , he was fantastic as his work sheet said to do the tiny bit by the kitchen light but it was supposed to be a large part of a bedroom wall , he just sprung into place and did the kitchen and the bedroom going above and beyond, very chatty, friendly and had empathy for my son , fantastic Thankyou Simon .
Then 4 doors to be replaced and in came Craig, he was very efficient completed the doors , checked the other doors as they kept getting stuck so he adjusted them too , changed and fitted a pvc box in the boiler cupboard, he went above and beyond, very caring , empathic and even stopped to have a chat to my son which made him feel at ease , thankyou Craig , my son asked me also to write this as he felt these men went above and beyond , so Thankyou to Fortem for sending these two out .

If I could give zero I would. They have caused damage in my house trauma to my 7 year old...they never turn up for jobs and when they do it's oh I have the wrong van I can't do it today. Or they turn up take a photo and not knock. When they call they don't leave messages and when u try and call back it tells you to call orbit to go through the whole process again ...

Had a job to replace flooring under a bath
Ripped up flooring which wasn’t needed to be replaced - left aqua panels un finished c bath is coming away from wall. Flooring was meant to be grey it’s brown. Knocked paint off wood work left trip hazards rubbish rammed under the bath

Work man complaining going up and down stairs made him tired

These so called workers most of them dont like work or they are unqualified to do the work and they leave you to clear up the terrible mess, they are well suited to work for Amplius as they are no good at their job either.

As a tenant of Birmingham City Council, Fortem carry out my Annual Gas Check. They were due yesterday between 1 and 6pm. I took the day off work as Annual Leave. They didn't turn up. No phone call. Nothing. According to their letter, I get a £40 fine if I miss the appointment, so do they pay me £40 as they've missed it? Apparently, the Annual Gas Check is a legal requirement. Obviously, Fortem don't take it THAT seriously!
They've now wasted a day of my Annual Leave entitlement.
On Tuesday (20 May) one of their plumbers came out to fix a leak, caused by them when they did the BCC bathroom refit. He put a plaster on it. Not helpful.
It's pointless if Fortem reply to this review, asking me to email customer care. They don't respond.

I have 5 children all ranging from 1 to 11.. 3 have special needs. The call out the guy turned off my water and refused to sort it. Said everywhere was closed and part won't be ordered until Monday. I rang to chase and the job had been cancelled. You lot should be ashamed of yourselves
