Great food but expensive drinks
Had a lovely meal here whilst on business. Food was very good however the portions small for the price. Sadly the night was spoiled by the extortionately overpriced drinks - beers and ciders all bottled and not particularly cold but £7 for a bottle of cider and £7.50 for a beer of less than 4.5% strength is too much. I think a coke was something like £4.50.
OK it was a nice place, with good service and the company paid however food was value for money (would have been better with a bit more on the plate) but spoiled by the £12 cocktails and £7+ beers and £4.50 cokes.
The owner has been on TV apparently moaning that he cant get customers in - with these prices its not hard to see why.
Its a nice place for a one off but be prepared to pay.
You need to leave a deposit when booking as well.
Note to management - please update your menu prices to show current. We paid a lot more than what is listed.
4 stars for the food, no stars for the drink.
