EDIT: I would like to change my review as there have been a couple of issues since I have been using their services.

PLEASE NOTE THE REVIEWS HAVE BEEN INCENTIVISED BY SALES STAFF SO BE AWARE OF THE REVIEWS ABOUT SALES STAFF AND NOT ABOUT THE ACTUAL SERVICE.

1.There is no 14 day cooling off period so once you sign you are stuck in the contract unless they fail to fulfil their side in which you can request to terminate.

2. They state a settlement time of 3-5 business days… they may as well say 5 because that’s how long all of my payments have been taking to show in my bank account, for an additional sum of £9.99 per month they will change it to within 48hrs. I’m saving about £10-15 per month switching from izettle (which settles within 2-3 days) so if i pay the additional £10p/m then what was the point in switching 🤷🏻‍♂️

Stephen Rowbotham helped out massively with getting me signed up, rates were very competitive compared to other providers but the customer service is the best i’ve dealt with after getting numerous quotes from other merchants.

Only thing i would like to add is i was not made aware the v240M Verifone machine requires till rolls at around £7-£10 for 20 rolls depending where you get them from. You can get around this by flipping the till roll around so the back of the paper is fed through.. no ink will print and you can roll it back up to be fed through again.. save some money..

Just onboarded with First Payment Merchant Services. Delighted with the competitive rates, the transparency provided by Stephen Rowbotham and the responsiveness.

After many different chats with several providers I settled on First Payments to provide me with the two card machines I needed for my new business. I found the rates to be extremely competitive and Stephen Rowbotham knowledgeable and professional to deal with. When I experienced a delay to external factors on the deliver of my machines and I was panicking I was always able to reach him one way or another. Now the machines have been up and running for a week we love using them. They are quick, easy to use and smart looking. Thanks!

Looking for a new card machine, First payment were so helpful. Stephen Rowbotham, so helpful, not pushy at all. Allowed me to make my decision in my own time and always gave me help and advice whenever I needed it.
The rates that they charge are much, much better than the rates I have been paying. Should save well over £1000 on charges in the coming year.

I was being helped and dealt with by Samina and I must say that she made the sometimes hard task of getting a pdq terminal in a new business much much easier. The rates where also better then most and quick easy service. I would definitely recommend to others

Spoke to Kelly a few days ago to enquire about getting a second machine as we are very happy with the first and she was extremely helpful and sorted it out straight away. She has followed up on the request to see if we need help with setting the machine up. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing a card machine.
