As a small business owner, i normally dread the end of contract for card processing fees as most of the companies seem to extortionately increase prices after the first year with little or no negotiation.

However, A very pleasant surprise talking with Sarita at EVO payments this morning; she was very helpful and has kept my last years prices fixed for another 12 months. As long as this continues, Ill be staying with EVO! Thanks Sarita.

Poor customer service support. Takes too long to answer, and will out right ignore you when you ask a challenging question.

Avoid at all cost, used for my sports club. been trying to close account for over a year now. hard to get hold of them then they hang up when you complain about anything. They are a really poor company

Avoid this card machine company at all costs!

This has been one of the worst companies I've ever dealt with. They have so many hidden fees that are never made clear when you sign up. My monthly charges were much higher than expected because they kept adding extra fees.

The biggest issue is their contract. They lock you into a long agreement and then automatically renew it for another 18 months without making it clear. It's a very unfair way of doing business.

Their customer service is terrible. When I called to ask how to cancel my contract, I was told I could simply call on the last day of the contract to cancel. I followed their instructions, but when I called on the last day, they changed their story and told me I should have called two weeks earlier. Because of this, they refused to cancel my contract and claimed it had already been renewed for another 18 months.

I feel like I was deliberately misled just to keep me trapped in another contract. The lack of honesty, poor customer service, hidden charges, and unfair contract terms make this a company I would never recommend. Be very careful before signing anything with them and make sure you read every detail, as they may not tell you everything upfront.

We provided every detail, the investigation team answer when they want after 1 week almost 2 , no phone number to call

We provided every detail, insurance and everything else as needed they still terminate contract no disputes on us.

Don’t work with them never.

Whenever I queried my bill or costs I was treated with courtesy and promptly. Excellent customer service

Hi, I have been using them more than one year.They stole our money via a charge back. I strongly suggest you to not use them,they are scammers. I passed everything,but some people bought food from my shop and paid and left, and Evo told me to send their details and I sent camera footage and receipts. After that I saw Evo took from my account they changed me 10 times my usual bill. And I called them to know because some scammers scammed them and Evo scammed us. Anyone using this company be careful I think they are doing this on purpose to get more money from you. I have asked them to investigate they don’t, but I am going to do something because they scammed us. Therefore they stole our money

Worst company to deal with!!
Waiting for 2 months for them to transfer our funds, will never recommend to anyone and will not use them in the future!!

Avoid EVO at all costs!! Their non-existent customer care and negligence have severely damaged our previously perfect credit score.

We’ve spent six months chasing them to resolve incorrect arrears caused by Takepayments mismanagement, who admitted their fault IN WRITING. Despite sending EVO this written proof and a formal complaint back in February, we have faced absolute silence! No response, no resolution, and ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY!

It is incredibly frustrating acting as a middleman fixing their administrative blunders while our credit rating takes the hit.
This is the worst customer service we’ve ever encountered. If you value your financial health and your sanity, look elsewhere. EVO, we expect an immediate response and a fully rectified credit file!

Terrible card payment company had my money over a week and not paid out they have said they will then won’t if evo is being pushed with your epos system then don’t use them they shouldn’t be allowed to continue an absolute joke of a company

We decided to work with evo payments through take payments. The machine was installed last Tuesday 26th May. They ensured us that payments would be made next day into our account. We are now over a week on and they are holding over 15,000 with not a single response from evo payments. All I’m being told is the settlement team will be in contact but nobody has contacted me. I’m ringing everyday. Absolute scam! Currently seeking legal advice DO NOT use this company.

Worst payment system ever. They take your money and don't payout. I do my end of day reports everyday and they tell me not registered on their system. Awful consultants with no experience whatsoever. Waiting for contract to end to use another company. Always have issues and no manager to talk to. Would give zero stars if I could.

Please avoid this company like the plague. They’re holding on to my money for 2 weeks despite our previous director named the current director as the new appointee to whom to release the settlement to, but they keep passing me backwards and forwards to Takepayments, the company that initially signed me up. Either company keeps shifting the blame

Prompt, efficient and not at all pushy!

Very disappointing.
I moved away from Evo purely on a price basis. I tendered cancellation/notice which was accepted. To my shame I didn't notice Evo were still taking rental payments for my terminal.
I spoke to Ella who said they'd had a technical hitch their end and I would be refunded.
She then emailed back to say that because the cancellation notice was sent from a slightly different (still an official company one) email address they wouldn't issue the refund - Even though the acknowledgement came through to the sending email with our correct company details and the account was cancelled - so they clearly knew who we were!!
I've asked for this to be escalated and asked for a response 5 times and have received nothing. I'm hoping an unfavourable review will elicit a response. I was previously a happy customer and this problem could have been dealt with swiftly and I would still have been happy. I am not happy now. Ignoring your customers is no way to retain or win back business.

Dawn at the Customer Relations Department always ensures a prompt and efficient response to all problems

After all evidence we provided did not communicate basicly did not care.

Beware sent an email to say I was cancelling. I cancelled the direct debit after the months notice, only to be contacted a month later to say it had to be done over the phone. I was charged £15 for not using the card machine & had to pay another months rental and will probably have to pay again in April!!

Just taken over a local pub and decided to stick with evo as the current provider although I found world pay offered me a much cheaper quote but evo matched their price. thought it would save me the hassle.unfortunately their card terminals have failed for the past 3 days causing loss of stock and lost business.Having called the support line I was on hold for 1 hour and then told we will have your terminals up and running tomorrow morning.i told them I have customers waiting to pay and I need the machines otherwise I will have to close the pub.i had the usual sorry but the tech team was not available. The next day the terminals still not working.As a company I have no confidence in this company and the support is dreadful.
