Very helpful and good customer service

My ride was stolen on Wednesday. Thursday I went online to drivetime and located a vehicle, selected financing. I talked to Kalani on the phone and made an appointment for Friday. I had to Uber there. where I met Kalani, who was awesome! He got me the car, and the financing I required and out the door in 2.5 hours! Not only that but he explained the process, completely showed me the vehicle, and got me warranties that made the purchase perfect! He literally turned a very negative-stressful week into a great positive. My only regret was I was very stressed and not in a great mood, which I am sure he felt. But 2.5 hours later I was smiling. He was more than patient with me, even loaned me a phone charger. It is now a few days later and I still happy with the purchase

The staff was just wonderful

I was very happy with dealing with Joe Medina at the Sanford store. He very helpful and patient with me. He took the time to see that we found exactly what we needed. Unlike the Orlando store, where I we approved, and never followed up with tell this day I have not heard back from on the vehicle I there to buy. I would never do business there, ever again.

I had one top best sales person. He was on point and knew what I needed before I could get the words out. Great experience all around.

I can't believe they told me the would over night the paperwork for my co signer to sign them and I still don't have my car joe the paperwork signed. I felt like I was lied to. I have to pay on the 16th and still have no car

Quick and easy process

Buyer beware — get every term in writing before giving DriveTime any money.

My experience with the DriveTime location on Coliseum Blvd. was extremely disappointing.

I was originally told the required down payment on the vehicle I selected was $2,345. Because I was waiting until payday to complete the purchase, I was told I could put down approximately 15% of that amount to hold the vehicle for seven days, then return and pay the remainder.

I paid about $400 based on that understanding.

On the day I was scheduled to pick up the vehicle, I called ahead, added the vehicle to my insurance, submitted the paperwork they requested, left work early, and paid for an Uber to the dealership.

When I arrived, I was then told that my required down payment had increased from $2,345 to $2,995 — an additional $650.

I was later told that the financing terms could change or expire, but that was not explained to me when they accepted my money to hold the vehicle. Had I been told that the quoted down payment could change before pickup, I would not have relied on the original amount or incurred the additional time and expenses involved in preparing to complete the purchase.

I declined to proceed under the new terms and requested a refund.

My warning to anyone considering buying from DriveTime is simple: do not assume that the numbers you are given when you place a vehicle on hold will necessarily be the numbers you are given when you return to purchase it. Ask specifically whether the down payment, financing terms, and approval expiration date can change, and get the answer in writing before paying anything.

I understand that financing approvals can change, but if a customer is being asked to pay money to hold a vehicle based on a quoted down payment, I believe any possibility that the required down payment could change should be clearly disclosed before that payment is accepted.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend this dealership.

I can't say nothing bad about the process of purchasing a car with you all it was seamless and smooth I don't have anything bad to say on the guy showed me two different calls I could afford for the down payment I had and it was great if I would have had a large down payment I would have bought a bigger car but I really think that I bought the right car thank you all for the help that you've done and stay blessed
