We haven’t yet received our sofa as we only ordered yesterday but wish to leave a review for the store and staff we dealt with. Our closest store was Carcroft Doncaster and from the beginning it was a lovely experience. The lady called Lauren who helped us was great! Extremely friendly, helpful and wasn’t pushy at all. Once I had shown her pictures of what we were looking at, she told us where to find the sofa and all the other ones similar to what we were looking for. She allowed us time to stroll around and once we decided she was there to help. Ordering the sofa was a breeze and lauren made the experience great!

Lovely store too, nice and big with plenty of choice.

Shannon was very approachable, she spoke as we walked in but was happy to let us browse. When we needed assistance she was happy to answer all my questions. She explained everything very clear and asked if I had seen everything I wanted to see. I had a problem with my credit card and she explained I could pay it when I get home.

The young lady was very helpful

I like DFS but the gent who filled the form in for y sofa and mattress order , wrote my DOB down wrong so that it delayed my application of the finance. Thos was really annoying as I had to then phone the branch back up to sort it out but you cant phone any branches direct so I had to phone their head office and they said they would email them to let them know to sort it out and it could take them days. I think this is very poor customer service and ridiculous that you cant ring a branch direct, especially when the gent who did our sale said you could ring them for any issues.

We ordered a double chaise sofa from DFS with the added footstool.

The sofa was ready on the date they promised and were very agreeable when we asked to delay delivery owing to the fact we had delayed decorating.

The sofa itself is so comfortable and we couldn't be happier.

We did have a small issue in that the bracket that held two of the sections had come off but they came and fixed with no quibbles.

Fabulous customer service from start to finish.
Visited the Carcroft store to view a particular sofa. Salesman was very knowledgeable and super friendly. Making the whole purchase very easy.
DFS rang a couple of weeks later to arrange a suitable delivery date.
Delivery was great, friendly delivery drivers, received a text with an estimated delivery time and later a text when they were on their way.
There was a slight problem with one of the sofa legs, the delivery drivers reported the problem and DFS contacted me the same day for arrange replacement leg. Which was sorted within a few days.
Great all round experience from start to finish.

Gentleman in store who dealt with our purchase very friendly and helpful he had been there may years and think he sold us our previous sofa 12 years earlier, the lady he asked to check everything with us to make sure everything was correct was not very friendly, she wasn't rude as such but just didn't get a good vibe. When we first arrived staff wasn't too pushy felt like we could really look around and find the sofa we liked without being hassled which really suits me. Found a sofa I loved came in a little more than I expected once the extras were added on. Delivery was quicker than expected and could not fault the delivery men. They set up the sofa took all the wrapping away and were very quick. Only downside is we never received the cleaning kit we paid for. Tried to call customer services a couple of times on separate occasions within a few weeks of delivery but was told both times systems were down and to call back later. Didn't call back a 3rd time.

Salesman on hand and helpful but not following you about or springing on you as soon as you walk through door,

We paid for installation but our sofa was delivered without a power pack , nearly 3 weeks on and trying to arrange a delivery time for it with the General Manager at Carcroft is hard work . We have paid for the installation - will update on the final outcome.

It seems petty but in 2026 asking someone to take a day off work and be in all day isn’t fair - after all when DFS wished to deliver we were given a date and a time slot which we obliged and took delivery .

Also a small hole in the sofa which we need looking at.
